to collect/congregate/gather, put together, complete. thubaat (acc. pl. of thubatun, which is the f. of thuban/thubayun)
in separate companies, groups, detachments, parties. To praise/honour/magnify/mention (e.g. a collection of good points). Many nouns in the f. sing. as here lose their third radical when it is ha/waw/ya.

Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Khudhū Ĥidhrakum Fānfirū Thubātin 'Aw Anfirū Jamī`āan
O you who believe, take your precaution by going out in clusters, or going out all together.
