become spread/published/known/revealed/apparent, scattered/dispersed, conforming/agreeing with another, befriend/friendly, went along together, like/similar, follower/assistant/friend/comrade/sharer/partner, separate/distinct party/sect, way of doctrine/system/practice.
shee’ah pl. shiya’, ashyaa’: a separate/distinct party/sect of men; the followers/assistants of a man; any people that have combined in an affair

24:19
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ تَشِيعَ الْفَاحِشَةُ فِي الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيم ٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yuĥibbūna 'An Tashī`a Al-Fāĥishatu Fī Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun Fī Ad-Dunyā Wa Al-'Ākhirati Wa Allāhu Ya`lamu Wa 'Antum Lā Ta`lamūna
As for those who enjoy that lewdness spreads among those who have believed, they will have a painful retribution in the world and the Hereafter. And God knows while you do not know.

6:65
قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابا ً مِنْ فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعا ً وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُمْ بَأْسَ بَعْض ٍ انظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الآيَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ
Qul Huwa Al-Qādiru `Alá 'An Yab`atha `Alaykum `Adhābāan Min Fawqikum 'Aw Min Taĥti 'Arjulikum 'Aw Yalbisakum Shiya`āan Wa Yudhīqa Ba`Đakum Ba'sa Ba`Đin Anžur Kayfa Nuşarrifu Al-'Āyāti La`allahum Yafqahūna
Say: "He is able to send retribution from above you or from below your feet, or He will make you belong to opposing factions, then He will let you taste the might of each other." See how We dispatch the signs, perhaps they may understand.
6:159
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعا ً لَسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِي شَيْء ٍ إِنَّمَا أَمْرُهُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Farraqū Dīnahum Wa Kānū Shiya`āan Lasta Minhum Fī Shay'in 'Innamā 'Amruhum 'Ilá Allāhi Thumma Yunabbi'uhum Bimā Kānū Yaf`alūna
Those who have divided their system and become sects, you are not with them in anything. Their matter will be with God, then He will inform them of what they had done.
15:10
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فِي شِيَعِ الأَوَّلِينَ
Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Min Qablika Fī Shiya`i Al-'Awwalīna
And We had sent before you, among the groups of old.
19:69
ثُمَّ لَنَنزِعَنَّ مِنْ كُلِّ شِيعَةٍ أَيُّهُمْ أَشَدُّ عَلَى الرَّحْمَنِ عِتِيّا ً
Thumma Lananzi`anna Min Kulli Shī`atin 'Ayyuhum 'Ashaddu `Alá Ar-Raĥmāni `Itīyāan
Then We will drag out from every clan the ones which were most in opposition to the Almighty.
28:4
إِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ عَلاَ فِي الأَرْضِ وَجَعَلَ أَهْلَهَا شِيَعا ً يَسْتَضْعِفُ طَائِفَة ً مِنْهُمْ يُذَبِّحُ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيِي نِسَاءَهُمْ إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
'Inna Fir`awna `Alā Fī Al-'ArĐi Wa Ja`ala 'Ahlahā Shiya`āan YastaĐ`ifu Ţā'ifatan Minhum Yudhabbiĥu 'Abnā'ahum Wa Yastaĥyī Nisā'ahum 'Innahu Kāna Mina Al-Mufsidīna
Pharaoh became mighty in the land, and he turned its people into factions; he oppressed a group of them by killing their children and raping their women. He was of those who corrupted.
28:15
وَدَخَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ عَلَى حِينِ غَفْلَة ٍ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلاَنِ هَذَا مِنْ شِيعَتِه ِِ وَهَذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّه ِِ فَاسْتَغَاثَهُ الَّذِي مِنْ شِيعَتِه ِِ عَلَى الَّذِي مِنْ عَدُوِّه ِِ فَوَكَزَه ُُ مُوسَى فَقَضَى عَلَيْهِ قَالَ هَذَا مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّه ُُ عَدُوّ ٌ مُضِلّ ٌ مُبِين ٌ
Wa Dakhala Al-Madīnata `Alá Ĥīni Ghaflatin Min 'Ahlihā Fawajada Fīhā Rajulayni Yaqtatilāni Hādhā Min Shī`atihi Wa Hadhā Min `Adūwihi Fāstaghāthahu Al-Ladhī Min Shī`atihi `Alá Al-Ladhī Min `Adūwihi Fawakazahu Mūsá FaqaĐá `Alayhi Qāla Hādhā Min `Amali Ash-Shayţāni 'Innahu `Adūwun MuĐillun Mubīnun
And he entered the city unexpectedly, without being noticed by the people. He found in it two men who were fighting, one was from his clan, and the other was from that of his enemy. So the one who was from his clan called on him for help against his enemy, whereby Moses punched him, killing him. He said: "This is from the work of the devil; he is an enemy that clearly misleads."
28:15

30:32
مِنَ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعا ً كُلُّ حِزْب ٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ
Mina Al-Ladhīna Farraqū Dīnahum Wa Kānū Shiya`āan Kullu Ĥizbin Bimā Ladayhim Fariĥūna
From those who have divided their system and become sects, each group is happy with what it has.
34:54
وَحِيلَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ مَا يَشْتَهُونَ كَمَا فُعِلَ بِأَشْيَاعِهِمْ مِنْ قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا فِي شَكّ ٍ مُرِيب ٍ
Wa Ĥīla Baynahum Wa Bayna Mā Yashtahūna Kamā Fu`ila Bi'ashyā`ihim Min Qablu 'Innahum Kānū Fī Shakkin Murībin
And a barrier will be set between them and what they had desired, as was done for their counterparts before. They have been in grave doubt.
37:83
وَإِنَّ مِنْ شِيعَتِه ِِ لَإِبْرَاهِيمَ
Wa 'Inna Min Shī`atihi La'ibrāhīma
And from his clan was Abraham.
54:51
وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِر ٍ
Wa Laqad 'Ahlaknā 'Ashyā`akum Fahal Min Muddakirin
And We have destroyed your counterparts. Do any of you wish to learn?
