11:67
وَأَخَذَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا الصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا فِي دِيَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ
Wa 'Akhadha Al-Ladhīna žalamū Aş-Şayĥatu Fa'aşbaĥū Fī Diyārihim Jāthimīna
And those who had wronged were taken by the scream, thus they became lifeless in their homes.
11:94
وَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا شُعَيْبا ً وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَه ُُ بِرَحْمَة ٍ مِنَّا وَأَخَذَتِ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا الصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا فِي دِيَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ
Wa Lammā Jā'a 'Amrunā Najjaynā Shu`aybāan Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Ma`ahu Biraĥmatin Minnā Wa 'Akhadhati Al-Ladhīna žalamū Aş-Şayĥatu Fa'aşbaĥū Fī Diyārihim Jāthimīna
And when Our command came, We saved Shu'ayb and those who believed with him by a mercy from Us; and the scream took those who had wronged, thus they became lifeless in their homes.
15:73
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُشْرِقِينَ
Fa'akhadhat/humu Aş-Şayĥatu Mushriqīna
So the scream took them at sunrise.
15:83
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُصْبِحِينَ
Fa'akhadhat/humu Aş-Şayĥatu Muşbiĥīna
So the scream took them in the morning.
23:41
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُثَاء ً فَبُعْدا ً لِلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
Fa'akhadhat/humu Aş-Şayĥatu Bil-Ĥaqqi Faja`alnāhum Ghuthā'an Fabu`dāan Lilqawmi Až-žālimīna
So the scream took them with justice, and We made them as dead plants. So away with the wicked people.
29:40
فَكُلّاً أَخَذْنَا بِذَنْبِه ِِ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ حَاصِبا ً وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ أَخَذَتْهُ الصَّيْحَةُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ خَسَفْنَا بِهِ الأَرْضَ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ أَغْرَقْنَا وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَكِنْ كَانُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
Fakullāan 'Akhadhnā Bidhanbihi Faminhum Man 'Arsalnā `Alayhi Ĥāşibāan Wa Minhum Man 'Akhadhat/hu Aş-Şayĥatu Wa Minhum Man Khasafnā Bihi Al-'ArĐa Wa Minhum Man 'Aghraqnā Wa Mā Kāna Allāhu Liyažlimahum Wa Lakin Kānū 'Anfusahum Yažlimūna
We took each by his sins. Some of them We sent upon him violent winds, some of them were taken by the scream, some of them We caused the earth to swallow, and some of them We drowned. God is not the One who wronged them; it is they who wronged themselves.
36:29
إِنْ كَانَتْ إِلاَّ صَيْحَة ً وَاحِدَة ً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَامِدُونَ
'In Kānat 'Illā Şayĥatan Wāĥidatan Fa'idhā Hum Khāmidūna
For all it took was one scream, whereupon they were stilled.
36:49
مَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلاَّ صَيْحَة ً وَاحِدَة ً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ
Mā Yanžurūna 'Illā Şayĥatan Wāĥidatan Ta'khudhuhum Wa Hum Yakhişşimūna
They will not realize it when one scream overwhelms them, while they dispute.
36:53
إِنْ كَانَتْ إِلاَّ صَيْحَة ً وَاحِدَة ً فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيع ٌ لَدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ
'In Kānat 'Illā Şayĥatan Wāĥidatan Fa'idhā Hum Jamī`un Ladaynā MuĥĐarūna
It only took one scream, whereupon they are summoned before Us.
38:15
وَمَا يَنظُرُ هَاؤُلاَء إِلاَّ صَيْحَة ً وَاحِدَة ً مَا لَهَا مِنْ فَوَاق ٍ
Wa Mā Yanžuru Hā'uulā' 'Illā Şayĥatan Wāĥidatan Mā Lahā Min Fawāqin
And what these people are waiting for is a single scream, from which they will not recover.
50:42
يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ الصَّيْحَةَ بِالْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُرُوجِ
Yawma Yasma`ūna Aş-Şayĥata Bil-Ĥaqqi Dhālika Yawmu Al-Khurūji
The Day they hear the scream with the truth. That is the Day of coming out.
54:31
إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَة ً وَاحِدَة ً فَكَانُوا كَهَشِيمِ الْمُحْتَظِرِ
'Innā 'Arsalnā `Alayhim Şayĥatan Wāĥidatan Fakānū Kahashīmi Al-Muĥtažiri
We sent upon them one scream, whereupon they became like harvested hay.
63:4
وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ تُعْجِبُكَ أَجْسَامُهُمْ وَإِنْ يَقُولُوا تَسْمَعْ لِقَوْلِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ خُشُب ٌ مُسَنَّدَة ٌ يَحْسَبُونَ كُلَّ صَيْحَةٍ عَلَيْهِمْ هُمُ الْعَدُوُّ فَاحْذَرْهُمْ قَاتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ أَنَّى يُؤْفَكُونَ
Wa 'Idhā Ra'aytahum Tu`jibuka 'Ajsāmuhum Wa 'In Yaqūlū Tasma` Liqawlihim Ka'annahum Khushubun Musannadatun Yaĥsabūna Kulla Şayĥatin `Alayhim Humu Al-`Adūwu Fāĥdharhum Qātalahumu Allāhu 'Anná Yu'ufakūna
And when you see them, you are impressed by their physical stature; and when they speak, you listen to their eloquence. They are like blocks of wood propped-up. They think that every call is intended for them. These are the enemies, so beware of them. May God condemn them; they have deviated.
