support, stay, firm part of a thing on which it rests, pillar, corner-stone, court, pride of power and might, resistance, kinsfolk or clan, party, person by whom one is aided and strengthened, noble or high person, thing whereby one is strengthened.

11:113
وَلاَ تَرْكَنُوا إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ ثُمَّ لاَ تُنصَرُونَ
Wa Lā Tarkanū 'Ilá Al-Ladhīna žalamū Fatamassakumu An-Nāru Wa Mā Lakum Min Dūni Allāhi Min 'Awliyā'a Thumma Lā Tunşarūna
And do not lean towards those who have wronged else you will incur the Fire; and you will not have besides God any allies, and you will not be victorious.
17:74
وَلَوْلاَ أَنْ ثَبَّتْنَاكَ لَقَدْ كِدْتَّ تَرْكَنُ إِلَيْهِمْ شَيْئا ً قَلِيلا ً
Wa Lawlā 'An Thabbatnāka Laqad Kidtta Tarkanu 'Ilayhim Shay'āan Qalīlāan
And if We had not made you stand firm, you were about to lean towards them a little bit.

قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَى رُكْن ٍ شَدِيد ٍ
Qāla Law 'Anna Lī Bikum Qūwatan 'Aw 'Āwī 'Ilá Ruknin Shadīdin
He said: "If only I had strength against you, or I could find for myself some powerful support."
51:39
فَتَوَلَّى بِرُكْنِه ِِ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُون ٌ
Fatawallá Biruknihi Wa Qāla Sāĥirun 'Aw Majnūnun
But he and his camp turned away, and said: A magician, or crazy.
