57:14
يُنَادُونَهُمْ أَلَمْ نَكُنْ مَعَكُمْ قَالُوا بَلَى وَلَكِنَّكُمْ فَتَنْتُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَتَرَبَّصْتُمْ وَارْتَبْتُمْ وَغَرَّتْكُمُ الأَمَانِيُّ حَتَّى جَاءَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُمْ بِاللَّهِ الْغَرُورُ
Yunādūnahum 'Alam Nakun Ma`akum Qālū Balá Wa Lakinnakum Fatantum 'Anfusakum Wa Tarabbaştum Wa Artabtum Wa Gharratkumu Al-'Amānīyu Ĥattá Jā'a 'Amru Allāhi Wa Gharrakum Billāhi Al-Gharūru
They will call upon them: Were we not with you? They will reply: Yes, but you led yourselves into temptation, and you hesitated, and doubted, and became misled by wishful thinking, until the judgment of God came. You were diverted from God by arrogance.

2:228
وَالْمُطَلَّقَاتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ ثَلاَثَةَ قُرُوء ٍ وَلاَ يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ أَنْ يَكْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ فِي أَرْحَامِهِنَّ إِنْ كُنَّ يُؤْمِنَّ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ وَبُعُولَتُهُنَّ أَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ إِنْ أَرَادُوا إِصْلاَحا ً وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَة ٌ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيم ٌ
Wa Al-Muţallaqātu Yatarabbaşna Bi'anfusihinna Thalāthata Qurū'in Wa Lā Yaĥillu Lahunna 'An Yaktumna Mā Khalaqa Allāhu Fī 'Arĥāmihinna 'In Kunna Yu'uminna Billāhi Wa Al-Yawmi Al-'Ākhiri Wa Bu`ūlatuhunna 'Aĥaqqu Biraddihinna Fī Dhālika 'In 'Arādū 'Işlāĥāan Wa Lahunna Mithlu Al-Ladhī `Alayhinna Bil-Ma`rūfi Wa Lilrrijāli `Alayhinna Darajatun Wa Allāhu `Azīzun Ĥakīmun
And those divorced shall wait for three menstruation periods; and it is not lawful for them to conceal what God has created in their wombs, if they believe in God and the Last Day. And their husbands would then have just cause to return together, if they both wish to reconcile. And the obligations owed to them are to be fulfilled, as are the obligations owed by them. But the men will have a greater responsibility over them in this. And God is Noble, Wise.
2:234
وَالَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنْكُمْ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزْوَاجا ً يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُر ٍ وَعَشْرا ً فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِيمَا فَعَلْنَ فِي أَنفُسِهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِير ٌ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Yutawaffawna Minkum Wa Yadharūna 'Azwājāan Yatarabbaşna Bi'anfusihinna 'Arba`ata 'Ash/hurin Wa `Ashrāan Fa'idhā Balaghna 'Ajalahunna Falā Junāĥa `Alaykum Fīmā Fa`alna Fī 'Anfusihinna Bil-Ma`rūfi Wa Allāhu Bimā Ta`malūna Khabīrun
And for those of you whose lives are terminated and they leave widows behind, then their widows will have a required interim period of four months and ten. So when they reach their required interim, then there is no sin upon you for what they do with themselves in goodness. And God is Expert to what you do.
4:141
الَّذِينَ يَتَرَبَّصُونَ بِكُمْ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فَتْح ٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ قَالُوا أَلَمْ نَكُنْ مَعَكُمْ وَإِنْ كَانَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ نَصِيب ٌ قَالُوا أَلَمْ نَسْتَحْوِذْ عَلَيْكُمْ وَنَمْنَعْكُمْ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَاللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَنْ يَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سَبِيلا ً
Al-Ladhīna Yatarabbaşūna Bikum Fa'in Kāna Lakum Fatĥun Mina Allāhi Qālū 'Alam Nakun Ma`akum Wa 'In Kāna Lilkāfirīna Naşībun Qālū 'Alam Nastaĥwidh `Alaykum Wa Namna`kum Mina Al-Mu'uminīna Fa-Allāhu Yaĥkumu Baynakum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Wa Lan Yaj`ala Allāhu Lilkāfirīna `Alá Al-Mu'uminīna Sabīlāan
Those who linger and observe you, if you have a victory from God they say: "Were we not with you?" And if the rejecters have success, they say: "Did we not side with you and deter the believers from you?" God will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection, and God will not grant the rejecters any success over the believers.
9:52
قُلْ هَلْ تَرَبَّصُونَ بِنَا إِلاَّ إِحْدَى الْحُسْنَيَيْنِ وَنَحْنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمْ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِعَذَاب ٍ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ~ِ أَوْ بِأَيْدِينَا فَتَرَبَّصُوا إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ مُتَرَبِّصُونَ
Qul Hal Tarabbaşūna Binā 'Illā 'Iĥdá Al-Ĥusnayayni Wa Naĥnu Natarabbaşu Bikum 'An Yuşībakumu Allāhu Bi`adhābin Min `Indihi 'Aw Bi'aydīnā Fatarabbaşū 'Innā Ma`akum Mutarabbişūna
Say: "You can only expect for us one of two good things; while we wait for you to be afflicted by God with a retribution from Him, or by our hands. So wait, we are with you waiting."
9:52
قُلْ هَلْ تَرَبَّصُونَ بِنَا إِلاَّ إِحْدَى الْحُسْنَيَيْنِ وَنَحْنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمْ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِعَذَاب ٍ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ~ِ أَوْ بِأَيْدِينَا فَتَرَبَّصُوا إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ مُتَرَبِّصُونَ
Qul Hal Tarabbaşūna Binā 'Illā 'Iĥdá Al-Ĥusnayayni Wa Naĥnu Natarabbaşu Bikum 'An Yuşībakumu Allāhu Bi`adhābin Min `Indihi 'Aw Bi'aydīnā Fatarabbaşū 'Innā Ma`akum Mutarabbişūna
Say: "You can only expect for us one of two good things; while we wait for you to be afflicted by God with a retribution from Him, or by our hands. So wait, we are with you waiting."
9:98
وَمِنَ الأَعْرَابِ مَنْ يَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنفِقُ مَغْرَما ً وَيَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمُ الدَّوَائِرَ عَلَيْهِمْ دَائِرَةُ السَّوْءِ وَاللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيم ٌ
Wa Mina Al-'A`rābi Man Yattakhidhu Mā Yunfiqu Maghramāan Wa Yatarabbaşu Bikumu Ad-Dawā'ira `Alayhim Dā'iratu As-Saw'i Wa Allāhu Samī`un `Alīmun
And from the Nomads are some who look upon what they spend as a fine, and wait for misfortune upon you. They will have the misfortune of evil, and God is Hearer, Knowledgeable.
52:30
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِر ٌ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِه ِِ رَيْبَ الْمَنُونِ
'Am Yaqūlūna Shā`irun Natarabbaşu Bihi Rayba Al-Manūni
Or do they say: He is a poet; so let us just wait until a disaster befalls him.

9:24
قُلْ إِنْ كَانَ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَاؤُكُمْ وَإِخْوَانُكُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ وَعَشِيرَتُكُمْ وَأَمْوَال ٌ اقْتَرَفْتُمُوهَا وَتِجَارَة ٌ تَخْشَوْنَ كَسَادَهَا وَمَسَاكِنُ تَرْضَوْنَهَا أَحَبَّ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِه ِِ وَجِهَاد ٍ فِي سَبِيلِه ِِ فَتَرَبَّصُوا حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ اللَّهُ بِأَمْرِه ِِ وَاللَّهُ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ
Qul 'In Kāna 'Ābā'uukum Wa 'Abnā'uukum Wa 'Ikhwānukum Wa 'Azwājukum Wa `Ashīratukum Wa 'Amwālun Aqtaraftumūhā Wa Tijāratun Takhshawna Kasādahā Wa Masākinu TarĐawnahā 'Aĥabba 'Ilaykum Mina Allāhi Wa Rasūlihi Wa Jihādin Fī Sabīlihi Fatarabbaşū Ĥattá Ya'tiya Allāhu Bi'amrihi Wa Allāhu Lā Yahdī Al-Qawma Al-Fāsiqīna
Say: "If your fathers, and your sons, and your brothers, and your wives, and your kin, and money which you have gathered, and a trade which you would be concerned over its decline, and homes which you find pleasing; if these are dearer to you than God and His messenger and striving in His cause, then wait until God brings His decision. And God does not guide the wicked people."
9:52
قُلْ هَلْ تَرَبَّصُونَ بِنَا إِلاَّ إِحْدَى الْحُسْنَيَيْنِ وَنَحْنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمْ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِعَذَاب ٍ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ~ِ أَوْ بِأَيْدِينَا فَتَرَبَّصُوا إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ مُتَرَبِّصُونَ

20:135
قُلْ كُلّ ٌ مُتَرَبِّص ٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَصْحَابُ الصِّرَاطِ السَّوِيِّ وَمَنِ اهْتَدَى
Qul Kullun Mutarabbişun Fatarabbaşū Fasata`lamūna Man 'Aşĥābu Aş-Şirāţi As-Sawīyi Wa Mani Ahtadá
Say: "All are waiting, so wait, and you will come to know who are the people upon the even path and who are guided."
23:25
إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ رَجُل ٌ بِه ِِ جِنَّة ٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا بِه ِِ حَتَّى حِين ٍ
'In Huwa 'Illā Rajulun Bihi Jinnatun Fatarabbaşū Bihi Ĥattá Ĥīnin
"He is no more than a man who has madness in him. So keep watch on him for a while."
52:31
قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا فَإِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ
Qul Tarabbaşū Fa'innī Ma`akum Mina Al-Mutarabbişīna
Say: Continue waiting; for I will wait along with you.

لِلَّذِينَ يُؤْلُونَ مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ تَرَبُّصُ أَرْبَعَةِ أَشْهُر ٍ فَإِنْ فَاءُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُور ٌ رَحِيم ٌ
Lilladhīna Yu'ulūna Min Nisā'ihim Tarabbuşu 'Arba`ati 'Ash/hurin Fa'in Fā'ū Fa'inna Allāha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun
For those who abstain from their wives, they shall be given four months. If they cease, then God is Forgiving, Merciful.

52:31
قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا فَإِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ
Qul Tarabbaşū Fa'innī Ma`akum Mina Al-Mutarabbişīna
