He said: "You will not see Me, but look upon the mountain, if it stays in its place then you will see Me." So when his Lord revealed Himself to the mountain, He caused it to crumble; thus Moses fell unconscious. When he awoke, he said: "Glory to You, I repent to You and I am the first of those who believe."

27:40
Qāla Al-Ladhī `Indahu `Ilmun Mina Al-Kitābi 'Anā 'Ātīka Bihi Qabla 'An Yartadda 'Ilayka Ţarfuka Falammā Ra'āhu Mustaqirrāan `Indahu Qāla Hādhā Min FaĐli Rabbī Liyabluwanī 'A'ashkuru 'Am 'Akfuru Wa Man Shakara Fa'innamā Yashkuru Linafsihi Wa Man Kafara Fa'inna Rabbī Ghanīyun Karīmun
And one who had knowledge from the Book said: "I will bring it to you before you blink." So when he saw it resting before him, he said: "This is from the grace of my Lord, so that He tests me whether I am thankful or whether I reject. As for he who is thankful, he is thankful for himself, and as for he who rejects, then my Lord is Rich, Bountiful."
54:3
Wa Kadhdhabū Wa Attaba`ū 'Ahwā'ahum Wa Kullu 'Amrin Mustaqirrun
And they disbelieved, and followed their desires, and every old tradition.
54:38
Wa Laqad Şabbaĥahum Bukratan `Adhābun Mustaqirrun
And in the early morning, a devastating retribution struck them.
