اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لاَ تَأْخُذُه ُُ سِنَة ٌ وَلاَ نَوْم ٌ لَه ُُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ~ُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِه ِِ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلاَ يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْء ٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ~ِ إِلاَّ بِمَا شَاءَ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَلاَ يَئُودُه ُُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ
Allāhu Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Al-Ĥayyu Al-Qayyūmu, Lā Ta'khudhuhu Sinatun Wa Lā Nawmun, Lahu Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'ArĐi, Man Dhā Al-Ladhī Yashfa`u `Indahu 'Illā Bi'idhnihi, Ya`lamu Mā Bayna 'Aydīhim Wa Mā Khalfahum, Wa Lā Yuĥīţūna Bishay'in Min `Ilmihi 'Illā Bimā Shā'a, Wasi`a Kursīyuhu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'ArĐa, Wa Lā Ya'ūduhu Ĥifžuhumā, Wa Huwa Al-`Alīyu Al-`Ažīmu
God, there is no god except He, the Living, the Sustainer. No slumber or sleep overtakes Him; to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. Who will intercede with Him except with His permission? He knows their present and their future, and they do not have any of His knowledge except for what He wishes. His Throne encompasses all of the heavens and the earth and it is easy for Him to preserve them. He is the Most High, the Great.
25:47
وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسا ً وَالنَّوْمَ سُبَاتا ً وَجَعَلَ النَّهَارَ نُشُورا ً
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Ja`ala Lakumu Al-Layla Libāsāan Wa An-Nawma Subātāan Wa Ja`ala An-Nahāra Nushūrāan
And He is the One who made for you the night as a cover, and sleep for resting, and He made the day to move about in.
78:9
وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتا ً
Wa Ja`alnā Nawmakum Subātāan
And We made your sleep for resting?

7:97
أَفَأَمِنَ أَهْلُ الْقُرَى أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ بَأْسُنَا بَيَاتا ً وَهُمْ نَائِمُونَ
'Afa'amina 'Ahlu Al-Qurá 'An Ya'tiyahum Ba'sunā Bayātāan Wa Hum Nā'imūna
Are the people of the towns sure that Our punishment will not come to them at night while they are sleeping?
68:19
فَطَافَ عَلَيْهَا طَائِف ٌ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَهُمْ نَائِمُونَ
Faţāfa `Alayhā Ţā'ifun Min Rabbika Wa Hum Nā'imūna
So a passing sent from your Lord came to it while they all were asleep.

8:43
إِذْ يُرِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي مَنَامِكَ قَلِيلا ً وَلَوْ أَرَاكَهُمْ كَثِيرا ً لَفَشِلْتُمْ وَلَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الأَمْرِ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ سَلَّمَ إِنَّه ُُ عَلِيم ٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
'Idh Yurīkahumu Allāhu Fī Manāmika Qalīlāan Wa Law 'Arākahum Kathīrāan Lafashiltum Wa Latanāza`tum Fī Al-'Amri Wa Lakinna Allāha Sallama 'Innahu `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri
God showed them to you as being few in your dream, and if He had shown them to you to be many, then you would have failed and you would have disputed in the matter, but God saved you. He is the Knower of what is in the chests.
30:23
وَمِنْ آيَاتِه ِِ مَنَامُكُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَابْتِغَاؤُكُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ~ِ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يَسْمَعُونَ
Wa Min 'Āyātihi Manāmukum Bil-Layli Wa An-Nahāri Wa Abtighā'uukum Min FaĐlihi 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yasma`ūna
And from His signs is your sleep by night and day, and your seeking of His bounty. In that are signs for a people who listen.
37:102
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعْيَ قَالَ يَابُنَيَّ إِنِّي أَرَى فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أَذْبَحُكَ فَانظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَى قَالَ يَا أَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ سَتَجِدُنِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ
Falammā Balagha Ma`ahu As-Sa`ya Qāla Yā Bunayya 'Innī 'Ará Fī Al-Manāmi 'Annī 'Adhbaĥuka Fānžur Mādhā Tará Qāla Yā 'Abati Af`al Mā Tu'umaru Satajidunī 'In Shā'a Allāhu Mina Aş-Şābirīna
And when he grew enough to work with him, he said:My son, I am seeing in a dream that I am sacrificing you. What do you think? He said:O my father, do what you are commanded to do. You will find me, God willing, patient.
39:42
اللَّهُ يَتَوَفَّى الأَنْفُسَ حِينَ مَوْتِهَا وَالَّتِي لَمْ تَمُتْ فِي مَنَامِهَا فَيُمْسِكُ الَّتِي قَضَى عَلَيْهَا الْمَوْتَ وَيُرْسِلُ الأُخْرَى إِلَى أَجَل ٍ مُسَمّى ً إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
Allāhu Yatawaffá Al-'Anfusa Ĥīna Mawtihā Wa A-Atī Lam Tamut Fī Manāmihā Fayumsiku Allatī QaĐá `Alayhā Al-Mawta Wa Yursilu Al-'Ukhrá 'Ilá 'Ajalin Musammáan 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yatafakkarūna
God seizes the souls at the time of their death; and for those that have not died, during their sleep. He then keeps those that have been overtaken by death, and He sends the others back until a predetermined time. In that are signs for a people who will think.
