6:32
Wa Mā Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā 'Illā La`ibun Wa Lahwun Wa Lalddāru Al-'Ākhiratu Khayrun Lilladhīna Yattaqūna 'Afalā Ta`qilūna
And the worldly life is nothing more than play and distraction, and the abode of the Hereafter is far better for those who are righteous. Do you not comprehend?
6:70
Wa Dhari Al-Ladhīna Attakhadhū Dīnahum La`ibāan Wa Lahwan Wa Gharrat/humu Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā Wa Dhakkir Bihi 'An Tubsala Nafsun Bimā Kasabat Laysa Lahā Min Dūni Allāhi Wa Līyun Wa Lā Shafī`un Wa 'In Ta`dil Kulla `Adlin Lā Yu'ukhadh Minhā 'Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna 'Ubsilū Bimā Kasabū Lahum Sharābun Min Ĥamīmin Wa `Adhābun 'Alīmun Bimā Kānū Yakfurūna
Leave alone those who have taken their system for play and distraction, and this worldly life has tempted them. And remind with it that a soul will suffer for what it has earned, it will not have besides God any supporter nor intercessor; and even if it brings all justice, none will be accepted from it. These are the ones who have suffered with what they have earned; for them will be a boiling drink, and a painful retribution for what they had rejected.
7:51
Al-Ladhīna Attakhadhū Dīnahum Lahwan Wa La`ibāan Wa Gharrat/humu Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā Fālyawma Nansāhum Kamā Nasū Liqā'a Yawmihim Hādhā Wa Mā Kānū Bi'āyātinā Yajĥadūna
The ones who took their system for distraction and play, and were preoccupied with this worldly life. Today We forget them as they forgot their meeting on this Day, and they did not heed Our revelations.
21:17
Law 'Aradnā 'An Nattakhidha Lahwan Lāttakhadhnāhu Min Ladunnā 'In Kunnā Fā`ilīna
If We wanted to be amused, We could have done so from what is already with Us, if that is what We wished to do.
29:64
Wa Mā Hadhihi Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā 'Illā Lahwun Wa La`ibun Wa 'Inna Ad-Dāra Al-'Ākhirata Lahiya Al-Ĥayawānu Law Kānū Ya`lamūna
And this worldly life is no more than distraction and play, while the abode of the Hereafter is the reality, if only they knew.
31:6
Wa Mina An-Nāsi Man Yashtarī Lahwa Al-Ĥadīthi LiyuĐilla `An Sabīli Allāhi Bighayri `Ilmin Wa Yattakhidhahā Huzūan 'Ūla'ika Lahum `Adhābun Muhīnun
And from the people, there are those who will purchase a baseless narrative with which to mislead from the path of God without knowledge, and to make it a mockery. These will have a humiliating retribution.
47:36
'Innamā Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā La`ibun Wa Lahwun Wa 'In Tu'uminū Wa Tattaqū Yu'utikum 'Ujūrakum Wa Lā Yas'alkum 'Amwālakum
The worldly life is no more than play and distraction. But if you believe and lead a righteous life, He will reward you, and He will not ask you for your wealth.
57:20
A`lamū 'Annamā Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā La`ibun Wa Lahwun Wa Zīnatun Wa Tafākhurun Baynakum Wa Takāthurun Fī Al-'Amwli Wa Al-'Awlādi Kamathali Ghaythin 'A`jaba Al-Kuffāra Nabātuhu Thumma Yahīju Fatarāhu Muşfarrāan Thumma Yakūnu Ĥuţāmāan Wa Fī Al-'Ākhirati `Adhābun Shadīdun Wa Maghfiratun Mina Allāhi Wa RiĐwānun Wa Mā Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā 'Illā Matā`u Al-Ghurūri
Know that the worldly life is no more than play and distraction and adornments, and boasting among you, and to increase in wealth and children. It is like plants that are supplied by an abundant rain, which appear pleasing to the rejecters. But then they dry-up and turn yellow, and become useless hay. And in the Hereafter there is severe retribution, and forgiveness fromGod and acceptance. This worldly life is no more than a deceiving enjoyment.

And if they come across any trade, or some entertainment, they rush to it and leave you standing! Say: What God possesses is far better than entertainment or trade. And God is the best Provider.
