To stick/cling, adhere, be fixed firmly/closely/constantly, intermixed, cohered and hardened (clay), strait/narrow, little in quantity, adversity/difficulty/drought/distress, indispensable/necessary, very avaracious/tenacious/niggardly.

فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقاً أَمْ مَنْ خَلَقْنَا إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُمْ مِنْ طِين ٍ لاَزِب ٍ
Fāstaftihim 'Ahum 'Ashaddu Khalqāan 'Am Man Khalaqnā 'Innā Khalaqnāhum Min Ţīnin Lāzibin
So ask them:Are they the more powerful creation, or the others We created? We have created them from a clay that is sticky.
