To take refuge, retreat, shelter, protection, flee to, preservation, lodging, concealment, to rely upon and seek aid, defense.

9:57
لَوْ يَجِدُونَ مَلْجَأً أَوْ مَغَارَاتٍ أَوْ مُدَّخَلا ً لَوَلَّوْا إِلَيْهِ وَهُمْ يَجْمَحُونَ
Law Yajidūna Malja'an 'Aw Maghārātin 'Aw Muddakhalāan Lawallaw 'Ilayhi Wa Hum Yajmaĥūna
If they find a refuge, or cave, or any place to enter, they will run to it while they are in haste.
9:118
وَعَلَى الثَّلاَثَةِ الَّذِينَ خُلِّفُوا حَتَّى إِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَظَنُّوا أَنْ لاَ مَلْجَأَ مِنَ اللَّهِ إِلاَّ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَتُوبُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
Wa `Alá Ath-Thalāthati Al-Ladhīna Khullifū Ĥattá 'Idhā Đāqat `Alayhimu Al-'ArĐu Bimā Raĥubat Wa Đāqat `Alayhim 'Anfusuhum Wa žannū 'An Lā Malja'a Mina Allāhi 'Illā 'Ilayhi Thumma Tāba `Alayhim Liyatūbū 'Inna Allāha Huwa At-Tawwābu Ar-Raĥīmu
And also the three who were left behind, until the land, as vast as it is, became strained to them, and their very souls became strained, and they thought there was no shelter from God except to Him. Then He pardoned them that they may repent. God is the Redeemer, the Merciful.
42:47
اسْتَجِيبُوا لِرَبِّكُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ يَوْم ٌ لاَ مَرَدَّ لَه ُُ مِنَ اللَّهِ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ مَلْجَإ ٍ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ نَكِير ٍ
Astajībū Lirabbikum Min Qabli 'An Ya'tiya Yawmun Lā Maradda Lahu Mina Allāhi Mā Lakum Min Malja'iin Yawma'idhin Wa Mā Lakum Min Nakīrin
Respond to your Lord before a Day comes from God which cannot be averted. You will have no refuge for you on that Day, nor an advocate.
