Kh-Waw-Ya
Become empty/vacant/unoccupied, become devoid or destitute of it's occupants ( a place), fall down or become demolished, become empty of food (hunger in the belly), call or cry out, seize/take/carry off by force, make a space between one's upper arms and sides in prostration, lower the eyes or look towards the ground and desiring to be silent, dig a hole or hollow in the ground, abstain from food, lose reason or intellect, take away another person's possession.

أَوْ كَالَّذِي مَرَّ عَلَى قَرْيَة ٍ وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَى عُرُوشِهَا قَالَ أَنَّى يُحْيِي هَذِهِ اللَّهُ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا فَأَمَاتَهُ اللَّهُ مِائَةَ عَام ٍ ثُمَّ بَعَثَه ُُ قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتَ قَالَ لَبِثْتُ يَوْماً أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْم ٍ قَالَ بَلْ لَبِثْتَ مِائَةَ عَام ٍ فَانظُرْ إِلَى طَعَامِكَ وَشَرَابِكَ لَمْ يَتَسَنَّهْ وَانظُرْ إِلَى حِمَارِكَ وَلِنَجْعَلَكَ آيَة ً لِلنَّاسِ وَانظُرْ إِلَى الْعِظَامِ كَيْفَ نُنشِزُهَا ثُمَّ نَكْسُوهَا لَحْما ً فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنَ لَه ُُ قَالَ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْء ٍ قَدِير ٌ
'Aw Kālladhī Marra `Alá Qaryatin Wa Hiya Khāwiyatun `Alá `Urūshihā Qāla 'Anná Yuĥyī Hadhihi Allāhu Ba`da Mawtihā Fa'amātahu Allāhu Miā'ata `Āmin Thumma Ba`athahu Qāla Kam Labithta Qāla Labithtu Yawmāan 'Aw Ba`Đa Yawmin Qāla Bal Labithta Miā'ata `Āmin Fānžur 'Ilá Ţa`āmika Wa Sharābika Lam Yatasannah Wa Anžur 'Ilá Ĥimārika Wa Linaj`alaka 'Āyatan Lilnnāsi Wa Anžur 'Ilá Al-`Ižāmi Kayfa Nunshizuhā Thumma Naksūhā Laĥmāan Falammā Tabayyana Lahu Qāla 'A`lamu 'Anna Allāha `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun
Or the one who passed through a town which had become ruins. He said: "How can God possibly revive this after it had died?" So God put him to death for one hundred years, then He resurrected him. He said: "How long have you stayed here?" He said: "I have stayed here a day or part of a day." He said: "No, you have stayed here for one hundred years! Look at your food and drink, they have not changed, but look at your donkey! And We will make you a sign for the people; and look at the bones how We expand them, then We cover them with flesh." So when it was clear to him what happened, he said: "I now know that God is capable of all things!"
18:42
وَأُحِيطَ بِثَمَرِه ِِ فَأَصْبَحَ يُقَلِّبُ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَى مَا أَنفَقَ فِيهَا وَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَى عُرُوشِهَا وَيَقُولُ يَالَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُشْرِكْ بِرَبِّي أَحَدا ً
Wa 'Uĥīţa Bithamarihi Fa'aşbaĥa Yuqallibu Kaffayhi `Alá Mā 'Anfaqa Fīhā Wa Hiya Khāwiyatun `Alá `Urūshihā Wa Yaqūlu Yā Laytanī Lam 'Ushrik Birabbī 'Aĥadāan
So his fruits were ruined, and he began turning his hands at that which he had spent on it while it remained destroyed upon its branches. And he said: "I wish I had not set up any partner with my Lord!"
22:45
فَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَة ٌ فَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَى عُرُوشِهَا وَبِئْر ٍ مُعَطَّلَة ٍ وَقَصْر ٍ مَشِيد ٍ
Faka'ayyin Min Qaryatin 'Ahlaknāhā Wa Hiya žālimatun Fahiya Khāwiyatun `Alá `Urūshihā Wa Bi'rin Mu`aţţalatin Wa Qaşrin Mashīdin
So how many a town have We destroyed while it was doing wrong, so that it is lying in ruins with its wells abandoned, and empty palaces.
27:52
فَتِلْكَ بُيُوتُهُمْ خَاوِيَة ً بِمَا ظَلَمُوا إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَة ً لِقَوْم ٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
Fatilka Buyūtuhum Khāwiyatan Bimā žalamū 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyatan Liqawmin Ya`lamūna
So these are their homes, ruined, for what they transgressed. In that is a sign for a people who know.
69:7
سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَال ٍ وَثَمَانِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُوما ً فَتَرَى الْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَى كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَة ٍ
Sakhkharahā `Alayhim Sab`a Layālin Wa Thamāniyata 'Ayyāmin Ĥusūmāan Fatará Al-Qawma Fīhā Şar`á Ka'annahum 'A`jāzu Nakhlin Khāwiyahin
He unleashed it upon them for seven nights and eight days, in succession. You could see the people destroyed in it, as if they are decayed palm trunks.
