3:146
وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ نَبِيّ ٍ قَاتَلَ مَعَه ُُ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِير ٌ فَمَا وَهَنُوا لِمَا أَصَابَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُوا وَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الصَّابِرِينَ
Wa Ka'ayyin Min Nabīyin Qātala Ma`ahu Ribbīyūna Kathīrun Famā Wahanū Limā 'Aşābahum Fī Sabīli Allāhi Wa Mā Đa`ufū Wa Mā Astakānū Wa Allāhu Yuĥibbu Aş-Şābirīna
And many a prophet had a large number of Devotees fighting with him. They did not waver by what afflicted them in the cause of God, nor did they become weak, nor did they become discouraged; and God loves the patient ones.
23:76
وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
Wa Laqad 'Akhadhnāhum Bil-`Adhābi Famā Astakānū Lirabbihim Wa Mā YataĐarra`ūna
And when We seized them with the punishment, they did not humble themselves to their Lord nor did they invoke Him.
