To drive fast, keep with care, gain mastery over, get the better of, prevail over, overcome, gain an advantage, to drive quickly or violently or roughly, to collect, gain possession of a thing, drive or incline someone after gaining mastery over him, to guard/keep/keep safely/protect/take care of/mind a person or thing, to be observant or regardful of a thing, to do an affair or thing soundly or firmly or thoroughly or very well, to go or journey a hard or vehement pace, make an arrow light by scraping and paring it.

اسْتَحْوَذَ عَلَيْهِمُ الشَّيْطَانُ فَأَنسَاهُمْ ذِكْرَ اللَّهِ أُوْلَائِكَ حِزْبُ الشَّيْطَانِ أَلاَ إِنَّ حِزْبَ الشَّيْطَانِ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ
Astaĥwadha `Alayhimu Ash-Shayţānu Fa'ansāhum Dhikra Allāhi 'Ūlā'ika Ĥizbu Ash-Shayţāni 'Alā 'Inna Ĥizba Ash-Shayţāni Humu Al-Khāsirūna
The devil has overtaken them, and has caused them to forget the remembrance of God. These are the party of the devil. Absolutely, the party of the devil are the losers.

الَّذِينَ يَتَرَبَّصُونَ بِكُمْ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فَتْح ٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ قَالُوا أَلَمْ نَكُنْ مَعَكُمْ وَإِنْ كَانَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ نَصِيب ٌ قَالُوا أَلَمْ نَسْتَحْوِذْ عَلَيْكُمْ وَنَمْنَعْكُمْ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَاللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَنْ يَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سَبِيلا ً
Al-Ladhīna Yatarabbaşūna Bikum Fa'in Kāna Lakum Fatĥun Mina Allāhi Qālū 'Alam Nakun Ma`akum Wa 'In Kāna Lilkāfirīna Naşībun Qālū 'Alam Nastaĥwidh `Alaykum Wa Namna`kum Mina Al-Mu'uminīna Fa-Allāhu Yaĥkumu Baynakum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Wa Lan Yaj`ala Allāhu Lilkāfirīna `Alá Al-Mu'uminīna Sabīlāan
Those who linger and observe you, if you have a victory from God they say: "Were we not with you?" And if the rejecters have success, they say: "Did we not side with you and deter the believers from you?" God will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection, and God will not grant the rejecters any success over the believers.
