to be afraid, frightened, terrified, smitten with fear, sought or demanded aid/succour (as a result of fear).

27:87
وَيَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ فَفَزِعَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الأَرْضِ إِلاَّ مَنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ وَكُلٌّ أَتَوْهُ دَاخِرِينَ
Wa Yawma Yunfakhu Fī Aş-Şūri Fafazi`a Man Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Man Fī Al-'ArĐi 'Illā Man Shā'a Allāhu Wa Kullun 'Atawhu Dākhirīna
And on the Day when the horn is blown, then those in the heavens and the earth will be in terror except for whom God wills. And all shall come to Him humbled.
34:51
وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذْ فَزِعُوا فَلاَ فَوْتَ وَأُخِذُوا مِنْ مَكَان ٍ قَرِيب ٍ
Wa Law Tará 'Idh Fazi`ū Falā Fawta Wa 'Ukhidhū Min Makānin Qarībin
And if you could but see, when they will be terrified with no escape, and they will be taken from a place that is near.
38:22
إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَى دَاوُودَ فَفَزِعَ مِنْهُمْ قَالُوا لاَ تَخَفْ خَصْمَانِ بَغَى بَعْضُنَا عَلَى بَعْض ٍ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَلاَ تُشْطِطْ وَاهْدِنَا إِلَى سَوَاءِ الصِّرَاطِ
'Idh Dakhalū `Alá Dāwūda Fafazi`a Minhum Qālū Lā Takhaf Khaşmāni Baghá Ba`Đunā `Alá Ba`Đin Fāĥkum Baynanā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Lā Tushţiţ Wa Ahdinā 'Ilá Sawā'i Aş-Şirāţi
When they entered upon David, he was startled by them. They said: "Have no fear. We are two who have disputed, and one has wronged the other, so judge between us with the truth, and do not wrong us, and guide us to the right path."

لاَ يَحْزُنُهُمُ الْفَزَعُ الأَكْبَرُ وَتَتَلَقَّاهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ هَذَا يَوْمُكُمُ الَّذِي كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ
Lā Yaĥzunuhumu Al-Faza`u Al-'Akbaru Wa Tatalaqqāhumu Al-Malā'ikatu Hādhā Yawmukumu Al-Ladhī Kuntum Tū`adūna
The great horror will not sadden them, and the angels will receive them: "This is your Day which you have been promised."
27:89
مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَه ُُ خَيْر ٌ مِنْهَا وَهُمْ مِنْ فَزَع ٍ يَوْمَئِذ ٍ آمِنُونَ
Man Jā'a Bil-Ĥasanati Falahu Khayrun Minhā Wa Hum Min Faza`in Yawma'idhin 'Āminūna
Whoever comes with a good deed will receive better than it, and from the terror of that Day they will be safe.

34:23
وَلاَ تَنفَعُ الشَّفَاعَةُ عِنْدَهُ~ُ إِلاَّ لِمَنْ أَذِنَ لَه ُُ حَتَّى إِذَا فُزِّعَ عَنْ قُلُوبِهِمْ قَالُوا مَاذَا قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ قَالُوا الْحَقَّ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ
Wa Lā Tanfa`u Ash-Shafā`atu `Indahu 'Illā Liman 'Adhina Lahu Ĥattá 'Idhā Fuzzi`a `An Qulūbihim Qālū Mādhā Qāla Rabbukum Qālū Al-Ĥaqqa Wa Huwa Al-`Alīyu Al-Kabīru
Nor will intercession be of any help with Him, except for whom He has already given leave. Until when the fear has subsided from their hearts, they ask: What did your Lord say? They will say: The truth! And He is the Most High, the Great.
