أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يُزَكُّونَ أَنفُسَهُمْ بَلِ اللَّهُ يُزَكِّي مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَلاَ يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلا ً
'Alam Tara 'Ilá Al-Ladhīna Yuzakkūna 'Anfusahum Bali Allāhu Yuzakkī Man Yashā'u Wa Lā Yužlamūna Fatīlāan
Did you not see those who ascribe purity to themselves? No, it is God who purifies whom He wills, and they will not be wronged in the least.
4:77
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ قِيلَ لَهُمْ كُفُّوا أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلاَةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقِتَالُ إِذَا فَرِيق ٌ مِنْهُمْ يَخْشَوْنَ النَّاسَ كَخَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ أَوْ أَشَدَّ خَشْيَة ً وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا لِمَ كَتَبْتَ عَلَيْنَا الْقِتَالَ لَوْلاَ أَخَّرْتَنَا إِلَى أَجَل ٍ قَرِيب ٍ قُلْ مَتَاعُ الدُّنْيَا قَلِيل ٌ وَالآخِرَةُ خَيْر ٌ لِمَنِ اتَّقَى وَلاَ تُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلا ً
'Alam Tara 'Ilá Al-Ladhīna Qīla Lahum Kuffū 'Aydiyakum Wa 'Aqīmū Aş-Şalāata Wa 'Ātū Az-Zakāata Falammā Kutiba `Alayhimu Al-Qitālu 'Idhā Farīqun Minhum Yakhshawna An-Nāsa Kakhashyati Allāhi 'Aw 'Ashadda Khashyatan Wa Qālū Rabbanā Lima Katabta `Alaynā Al-Qitāla Lawlā 'Akhkhartanā 'Ilá 'Ajalin Qarībin Qul Matā`u Ad-Dunyā Qalīlun Wa Al-'Ākhiratu Khayrun Limani Attaqá Wa Lā Tužlamūna Fatīlāan
Did you not see those who were told: "Cease your aggression, and hold the contact prayer, and contribute towards purification." But when fighting was decreed for them, a group of them were concerned towards the people as they would have been concerned towards God or even more so. And they said: "Our Lord, why did You decree fighting for us? If only You would delay for us until another time." Say: "The enjoyment of this world is little, and the Hereafter is far better for those who are aware; you will not be wronged in the least."
17:71
يَوْمَ نَدْعُو كُلَّ أُنَاس ٍ بِإِمَامِهِمْ فَمَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَه ُُ بِيَمِينِه ِِ فَأُوْلَائِكَ يَقْرَءُونَ كِتَابَهُمْ وَلاَ يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلا ً
Yawma Nad`ū Kulla 'Unāsin Bi'imāmihim Faman 'Ūtiya Kitābahu Biyamīnihi Fa'ūlā'ika Yaqra'ūna Kitābahum Wa Lā Yužlamūna Fatīlāan
The Day We call every people by their beacon. Then, whoever are given their book by their right, they will read their book, and they will not be wronged in the least.
