become round, anything circular, persist/persevere, ship, Ark, the place of the revolving of the stars, the celestial sphere, vault of heaven, firmament, surrounding spheres, sky, revolvement, circling, circuit, going to and fro, in a state of commotion, whirl of a spindle, one who goes round.

21:33
وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلّ ٌ فِي فَلَك ٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Khalaqa Al-Layla Wa An-Nahāra Wa Ash-Shamsa Wa Al-Qamara Kullun Fī Falakin Yasbaĥūna
And He is the One who has created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each swimming in an orbit.
36:40
لاَ الشَّمْسُ يَنْبَغِي لَهَا أَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَلاَ اللَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِ وَكُلّ ٌ فِي فَلَك ٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
Lā Ash-Shamsu Yanbaghī Lahā 'An Tudrika Al-Qamara Wa Lā Al-Laylu Sābiqu An-Nahāri Wa Kullun Fī Falakin Yasbaĥūna
The sun is not required to overtake the moon, nor will the night precede the day; each of them is swimming in its own orbit.

2:164
إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَالْفُلْكِ الَّتِي تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِمَا يَنفَعُ النَّاسَ وَمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِنْ مَاء ٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ دَابَّة ٍ وَتَصْرِيفِ الرِّيَاحِ وَالسَّحَابِ الْمُسَخَّرِ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ لَآيَات ٍ لِقَوْم ٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
'Inna Fī Khalqi As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'ArĐi Wa Akhtilāfi Al-Layli Wa An-Nahāri Wa Al-Fulki Allatī Tajrī Fī Al-Baĥri Bimā Yanfa`u An-Nāsa Wa Mā 'Anzala Allāhu Mina As-Samā'i Min Mā'in Fa'aĥyā Bihi Al-'ArĐa Ba`da Mawtihā Wa Baththa Fīhā Min Kulli Dābbatin Wa Taşrīfi Ar-Riyāĥi Wa As-Saĥābi Al-Musakhkhari Bayna As-Samā'i Wa Al-'ArĐi La'āyātin Liqawmin Ya`qilūna
Surely, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the differences between the night and the day, and the ships that sail in the sea for the benefit of the people, and what God has sent down of water from the sky so He brings the earth back to life after it had died, and He sent forth from it every creature, and the dispatching of the winds and the clouds that have been designated between the earth and the sky are signs for a people who comprehend.
7:64
فَكَذَّبُوه ُُ فَأَنجَيْنَاه ُُ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَه ُُ فِي الْفُلْكِ وَأَغْرَقْنَا الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْماً عَمِينَ
Fakadhdhabūhu Fa'anjaynāhu Wa Al-Ladhīna Ma`ahu Fī Al-Fulki Wa 'Aghraqnā Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Bi'āyātinā 'Innahum Kānū Qawmāan `Amīna
They denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the ship, and We drowned those who denied Our revelations; they were a blind people.
10:22
هُوَ الَّذِي يُسَيِّرُكُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنْتُمْ فِي الْفُلْكِ وَجَرَيْنَ بِهِمْ بِرِيح ٍ طَيِّبَة ٍ وَفَرِحُوا بِهَا جَاءَتْهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِف ٌ وَجَاءَهُمُ الْمَوْجُ مِنْ كُلِّ مَكَان ٍ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ أُحِيطَ بِهِمْ دَعَوْا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ لَئِنْ أَنْجَيْتَنَا مِنْ هَذِه ِِ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ
Huwa Al-Ladhī Yusayyirukum Fī Al-Barri Wa Al-Baĥri Ĥattá 'Idhā Kuntum Fī Al-Fulki Wa Jarayna Bihim Birīĥin Ţayyibatin Wa Fariĥū Bihā Jā'at/hā Rīĥun `Āşifun Wa Jā'ahumu Al-Mawju Min Kulli Makānin Wa žannū 'Annahum 'Uĥīţa Bihim Da`aw Allāha Mukhlişīna Lahu Ad-Dīna La'in 'Anjaytanā Min Hadhihi Lanakūnanna Mina Ash-Shākirīna
He is the One who carries you on land and on the sea. And when you are on the ships and We drive them with a good wind which they rejoice with, a strong gust comes to them and the waves come to them from all sides, and they think that they are finished, they implore God with loyalty and devotion to His system: "If You save us from this, we will be of the thankful."
10:73
فَكَذَّبُوه ُُ فَنَجَّيْنَاه ُُ وَمَنْ مَعَه ُُ فِي الْفُلْكِ وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ خَلاَئِفَ وَأَغْرَقْنَا الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ
Fakadhdhabūhu Fanajjaynāhu Wa Man Ma`ahu Fī Al-Fulki Wa Ja`alnāhum Khalā'ifa Wa 'Aghraqnā Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Bi'āyātinā Fānžur Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Mundharīna
They denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the ship, and We made them successors, and We drowned those who denied Our revelations. So see how was the punishment of those who were warned!
11:37
وَاصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا وَلاَ تُخَاطِبْنِي فِي الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا إِنَّهُمْ مُغْرَقُونَ
Wa Aşna`i Al-Fulka Bi'a`yuninā Wa Waĥyinā Wa Lā Tukhāţibnī Fī Al-Ladhīna žalamū 'Innahum Mughraqūna
"And construct the ship under Our eyes and Our inspiration, and do not speak to Me regarding those who are wicked. They will be drowned."
11:38
وَيَصْنَعُ الْفُلْكَ وَكُلَّمَا مَرَّ عَلَيْهِ مَلَأ ٌ مِنْ قَوْمِه ِِ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُ قَالَ إِنْ تَسْخَرُوا مِنَّا فَإِنَّا نَسْخَرُ مِنْكُمْ كَمَا تَسْخَرُونَ
Wa Yaşna`u Al-Fulka Wa Kullamā Marra `Alayhi Mala'un Min Qawmihi Sakhirū Minhu Qāla 'In Taskharū Minnā Fa'innā Naskharu Minkum Kamā Taskharūna
And as he was constructing the ship, every time any cluster from his people passed by, they mocked him. He said: "If you mock us, then we also mock you as you mock."
14:32
اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاء ً فَأَخْرَجَ بِه ِِ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقا ً لَكُمْ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الْفُلْكَ لِتَجْرِيَ فِي الْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِه ِِ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الأَنهَارَ
Allāhu Al-Ladhī Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'ArĐa Wa 'Anzala Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Fa'akhraja Bihi Mina Ath-Thamarāti Rizqāan Lakum Wa Sakhkhara Lakumu Al-Fulka Litajriya Fī Al-Baĥri Bi'amrihi Wa Sakhkhara Lakumu Al-'Anhāra
God is the One who has created the heavens and the earth, and He has sent down water from the sky thus bringing out with it fruits as provisions for you, and He has commissioned for you the ships to run in the sea by His command, and He has commissioned for you the rivers.
16:14
وَهُوَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ الْبَحْرَ لِتَأْكُلُوا مِنْهُ لَحْما ً طَرِيّا ً وَتَسْتَخْرِجُوا مِنْهُ حِلْيَة ً تَلْبَسُونَهَا وَتَرَى الْفُلْكَ مَوَاخِرَ فِيه ِِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Sakhkhara Al-Baĥra Lita'kulū Minhu Laĥmāan Ţarīyāan Wa Tastakhrijū Minhu Ĥilyatan Talbasūnahā Wa Tará Al-Fulka Mawākhira Fīhi Wa Litabtaghū Min FaĐlihi Wa La`allakum Tashkurūna
And He is the One who has commissioned the sea, that you may eat from it a tender meat, and that you may extract from it pearls that you wear. And you see the ships flowing through it, so that you may seek from His bounty, and that you may be thankful.
17:66
رَبُّكُمُ الَّذِي يُزْجِي لَكُمُ الْفُلْكَ فِي الْبَحْرِ لِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ~ِ إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيما ً
Rabbukumu Al-Ladhī Yuzjī Lakumu Al-Fulka Fī Al-Baĥri Litabtaghū Min FaĐlihi 'Innahu Kāna Bikum Raĥīmāan
Your Lord is the One Who drives the ships for you in the sea so that you may seek of His bounty. He is Merciful towards you.
22:65
أَلَمْ تَرَى أَنَّ اللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي الأَرْضِ وَالْفُلْكَ تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِه ِِ وَيُمْسِكُ السَّمَاءَ أَنْ تَقَعَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ~ِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَءُوف ٌ رَحِيم ٌ
'Alam Tará 'Anna Allāha Sakhkhara Lakum Mā Fī Al-'ArĐi Wa Al-Fulka Tajrī Fī Al-Baĥri Bi'amrihi Wa Yumsiku As-Samā'a 'An Taqa`a `Alá Al-'ArĐi 'Illā Bi'idhnihi 'Inna Allāha Bin-Nāsi Lara'ūfun Raĥīmun
Did you not see that God commits to you what is on the earth? And the ships sail in the sea with His permission. And He holds the sky so that it would not collapse upon the earth, except by His permission. Indeed, God is Kind towards the people, Merciful.
23:22
وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ
Wa `Alayhā Wa `Alá Al-Fulki Tuĥmalūna
And on them and on the ships you are carried.
23:27
فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِ أَنِ اصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ فَاسْلُكْ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلّ ٍ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلاَّ مَنْ سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ وَلاَ تُخَاطِبْنِي فِي الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا إِنَّهُمْ مُغْرَقُونَ
Fa'awĥaynā 'Ilayhi 'Ani Aşna`i Al-Fulka Bi'a`yuninā Wa Waĥyinā Fa'idhā Jā'a 'Amrunā Wa Fāra At-Tannūru Fāsluk Fīhā Min Kullin Zawjayni Athnayni Wa 'Ahlaka 'Illā Man Sabaqa `Alayhi Al-Qawlu Minhum Wa Lā Tukhāţibnī Fī Al-Ladhīna žalamū 'Innahum Mughraqūna
So We inspired him: "Construct the ship under Our eyes and Our inspiration. Then, when Our command comes and the chamber erupts, then you shall take in it a pair from each kind, and your family; except for those of them upon whom the word has come. And do not address Me regarding those who have done wrong, for they will be drowned."
23:28
فَإِذَا اسْتَوَيْتَ أَنْتَ وَمَنْ مَعَكَ عَلَى الْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي نَجَّانَا مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
Fa'idhā Astawayta 'Anta Wa Man Ma`aka `Alá Al-Fulki Faquli Al-Ĥamdu Lillāhi Al-Ladhī Najjānā Mina Al-Qawmi Až-žālimīna
So when you and those who are with you have embarked on the ship, then say: "All praise is due to God who has saved us from the wicked people."
26:119
فَأَنجَيْنَاه ُُ وَمَنْ مَعَه ُُ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ
Fa'anjaynāhu Wa Man Ma`ahu Fī Al-Fulki Al-Mashĥūni
So We saved him and those who were with him in the charged ship.
29:65
فَإِذَا رَكِبُوا فِي الْفُلْكِ دَعَوْا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّاهُمْ إِلَى الْبَرِّ إِذَا هُمْ يُشْرِكُونَ
Fa'idhā Rakibū Fī Al-Fulki Da`aw Allāha Mukhlişīna Lahu Ad-Dīna Falammā Najjāhum 'Ilá Al-Barri 'Idhā Hum Yushrikūna
When they ride on a ship, they call on God, devoting the system to Him. But as soon as He saves them to the shore, they set up partners.
30:46
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ~ِ أَنْ يُرْسِلَ الرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَات ٍ وَلِيُذِيقَكُمْ مِنْ رَحْمَتِه ِِ وَلِتَجْرِيَ الْفُلْكُ بِأَمْرِه ِِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Wa Min 'Āyātihi 'An Yursila Ar-Riyāĥa Mubashshirātin Wa Liyudhīqakum Min Raĥmatihi Wa Litajriya Al-Fulku Bi'amrihi Wa Litabtaghū Min FaĐlihi Wa La`allakum Tashkurūna
And from His signs is that He sends the winds with glad tidings, and to give you a taste of His mercy, and so that the ships may sail by His command, and that you may seek of His bounty; perhaps you will be thankful.
31:31
أَلَمْ تَرَى أَنَّ الْفُلْكَ تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِنِعْمَةِ اللَّهِ لِيُرِيَكُمْ مِنْ آيَاتِهِ~ِ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَات ٍ لِكُلِّ صَبَّار ٍ شَكُور ٍ
'Alam Tará 'Anna Al-Fulka Tajrī Fī Al-Baĥri Bini`mati Allāhi Liyuriyakum Min 'Āyātihi 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Likulli Şabbārin Shakūrin
Have you not seen the ships sailing in the sea by the grace of God, so that He shows you some of His signs? In that are signs for every one who is patient, thankful.
35:12
وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْبَحْرَانِ هَذَا عَذْب ٌ فُرَات ٌ سَائِغ ٌ شَرَابُه ُُ وَهَذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاج ٌ وَمِنْ كُلّ ٍ تَأْكُلُونَ لَحْما ً طَرِيّا ً وَتَسْتَخْرِجُونَ حِلْيَة ً تَلْبَسُونَهَا وَتَرَى الْفُلْكَ فِيه ِِ مَوَاخِرَ لِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Wa Mā Yastawī Al-Baĥrāni Hādhā `Adhbun Furātun Sā'ighun Sharābuhu Wa Hadhā Milĥun 'Ujājun Wa Min Kullin Ta'kulūna Laĥmāan Ţarīyāan Wa Tastakhrijūna Ĥilyatan Talbasūnahā Wa Tará Al-Fulka Fīhi Mawākhira Litabtaghū Min FaĐlihi Wa La`allakum Tashkurūna
Nor are the two seas the same. One is fresh and palatable, good to drink, while the other is salty and bitter. And from each of them you eat tender meat, and you extract jewelry to wear. And you see the ships sailing through them, seeking His provisions; and perhaps you may be thankful.
36:41
وَآيَة ٌ لَهُمْ أَنَّا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ
Wa 'Āyatun Lahum 'Annā Ĥamalnā Dhurrīyatahum Fī Al-Fulki Al-Mashĥūni
And a sign for them is that We carried their ancestors on the charged ship.
37:140
إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ
'Idh 'Abaqa 'Ilá Al-Fulki Al-Mashĥūni
When he escaped to the charged ship.
40:80
وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ وَلِتَبْلُغُوا عَلَيْهَا حَاجَة ً فِي صُدُورِكُمْ وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ
Wa Lakum Fīhā Manāfi`u Wa Litablughū `Alayhā Ĥājatan Fī Şudūrikum Wa `Alayhā Wa `Alá Al-Fulki Tuĥmalūna
And you have other benefits in them. And that you may reach by them what is desired in your chests. And on them and on the ships, you are carried.
43:12
وَالَّذِي خَلَقَ الأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الْفُلْكِ وَالأَنعَام مَا تَرْكَبُونَ
Wa Al-Ladhī Khalaqa Al-'Azwāja Kullahā Wa Ja`ala Lakum Mina Al-Fulki Wa Al-'An`ām Mā Tarkabūna
And He is the One who has created all the pairs, and He made for you from the ships and the livestock that which you can ride.
45:12
اللَّهُ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الْبَحْرَ لِتَجْرِيَ الْفُلْكُ فِيه ِِ بِأَمْرِه ِِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِه ِِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Allāhu Al-Ladhī Sakhkhara Lakumu Al-Baĥra Litajriya Al-Fulku Fīhi Bi'amrihi Wa Litabtaghū Min FaĐlihi Wa La`allakum Tashkurūna
God is the One who commissioned the sea in your service, so that the ships can run in it by His command, and that you may seek of His provisions, and that you may be thankful.
