وَالَّذِينَ يُحَاجُّونَ فِي اللَّهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا اسْتُجِيبَ لَه ُُ حُجَّتُهُمْ دَاحِضَةٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَلَيْهِمْ غَضَب ٌ وَلَهُمْ عَذَاب ٌ شَدِيد ٌ
Wa Al-Ladhīna Yuĥājjūna Fī Allāhi Min Ba`di Mā Astujība Lahu Ĥujjatuhum DāĥiĐatun `Inda Rabbihim Wa `Alayhim GhaĐabun Wa Lahum `Adhābun Shadīdun
And those who debate about God, after they had been answered, their argument is nullified at their Lord. They have incurred a wrath, and will have a severe retribution.

وَمَا نُرْسِلُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلاَّ مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ وَيُجَادِلُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا بِهِ الْحَقَّ وَاتَّخَذُوا آيَاتِي وَمَا أُنْذِرُوا هُزُوا ً
Wa Mā Nursilu Al-Mursalīna 'Illā Mubashshirīna Wa Mundhirīna Wa Yujādilu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bil-Bāţili LiyudĥiĐū Bihi Al-Ĥaqqa Wa Attakhadhū 'Āyātī Wa Mā 'Undhirū Huzūan
And We do not send the messengers except as bearers of good news and warners. But those who reject will argue using falsehood to overshadow the truth with it. And they took My revelations and what they have been warned by for mockery!
40:5
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوح ٍ وَالأَحْزَابُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ وَهَمَّتْ كُلُّ أُمَّة ٍ بِرَسُولِهِمْ لِيَأْخُذُوه ُُ وَجَادَلُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ لِيُدْحِضُوا بِهِ الْحَقَّ فَأَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ
Kadhdhabat Qablahum Qawmu Nūĥin Wa Al-'Aĥzābu Min Ba`dihim Wa Hammat Kullu 'Ummatin Birasūlihim Liya'khudhūhu Wa Jādalū Bil-Bāţili LiyudĥiĐū Bihi Al-Ĥaqqa Fa'akhadhtuhum Fakayfa Kāna `Iqābi
Denial had come before them from the people of Noah and the opponents after them, and every nation plotted against their messenger to seize him, and they disputed by means of falsehood to defeat with it the truth. So I took them; how then was My punishment!

فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُدْحَضِينَ
Fasāhama Fakāna Mina Al-MudĥaĐīna
And he was guilty, so he became among the losers.
