6:31
Qad Khasira Al-Ladhīna Kadhdhabū Biliqā'i Allāhi Ĥattá 'Idhā Jā'at/humu As-Sā`atu Baghtatan Qālū Yā Ĥasratanā `Alá Mā Farraţnā Fīhā Wa Hum Yaĥmilūna 'Awzārahum `Alá žuhūrihim 'Alā Sā'a Mā Yazirūna
Losers are those who have denied their meeting with God; until the Hour comes to them suddenly, then they say: "We deeply regret that which we have wasted in it," and they will carry their burdens on their backs; miserable indeed is their burden.
6:44
Falammā Nasū Mā Dhukkirū Bihi Fataĥnā `Alayhim 'Abwāba Kulli Shay'in Ĥattá 'Idhā Fariĥū Bimā 'Ūtū 'Akhadhnāhum Baghtatan Fa'idhā Hum Mublisūna
So when they forgot what they had been reminded of, We opened for them the gates of all opportunities; and when they were happy with what they were given, We took them suddenly! They were confounded.
6:47
Qul 'Ara'aytakum 'In 'Atākum `Adhābu Allāhi Baghtatan 'Aw Jahratan Hal Yuhlaku 'Illā Al-Qawmu Až-žālimūna
Say: "Do you see if the retribution of God comes to you suddenly, or gradually, will anyone be destroyed except the wicked people?"
7:95
Thumma Baddalnā Makāna As-Sayyi'ati Al-Ĥasanata Ĥattá `Afaw Wa Qālū Qad Massa 'Ābā'anā AĐ-Đarrā'u Wa As-Sarrā'u Fa'akhadhnāhum Baghtatan Wa Hum Lā Yash`urūna
Then We replace the bad with good, until they have plenty, then they say: "Our fathers were the ones afflicted by hardship, and adversity." We then take them suddenly, while they are unaware.
7:187
Yas'alūnaka `Ani As-Sā`ati 'Ayyāna Mursāhā Qul 'Innamā `Ilmuhā `Inda Rabbī Lā Yujallīhā Liwaqtihā 'Illā Huwa Thaqulat Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'ArĐi Lā Ta'tīkum 'Illā Baghtatan Yas'alūnaka Ka'annaka Ĥafīyun `Anhā Qul 'Innamā `Ilmuhā `Inda Allāhi Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Ya`lamūna
They ask you regarding the Hour: "When will be its time?" Say: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, none can reveal its coming except He. It is heavy through the heavens and the earth; it will not come to you except suddenly." They ask you, as if you are responsible for it! Say: "Its knowledge is with God, but most of the people do not know."
12:107
'Afa'aminū 'An Ta'tiyahum Ghāshiyatun Min `Adhābi Allāhi 'Aw Ta'tiyahumu As-Sā`atu Baghtatan Wa Hum Lā Yash`urūna
Are they secure against the coming of an enveloping retribution from God, or that the Hour will come to them suddenly while they do not perceive?
21:40
Bal Ta'tīhim Baghtatan Fatabhatuhum Falā Yastaţī`ūna Raddahā Wa Lā Hum Yunžarūna
No, it will come to them suddenly. And they will not be able to turn it away, nor will they be delayed.
22:55
Wa Lā Yazālu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Fī Miryatin Minhu Ĥattá Ta'tiyahumu As-Sā`atu Baghtatan 'Aw Ya'tiyahum `Adhābu Yawmin `Aqīmin
And those who have rejected will remain to be in doubt from it until the Hour comes to them suddenly, or the retribution of a barren Day comes to them.
26:202
Faya'tiyahum Baghtatan Wa Hum Lā Yash`urūna
So it will come to them suddenly, while they do not perceive it.
29:53
Wa Yasta`jilūnaka Bil-`Adhābi Wa Lawlā 'Ajalun Musammáan Lajā'ahumu Al-`Adhābu Wa Laya'tiyannahum Baghtatan Wa Hum Lā Yash`urūna
And they hasten you for the retribution! If it were not for an appointed term, the retribution would have come to them. It will come to them suddenly, when they do not expect.
39:55
Wa Attabi`ū 'Aĥsana Mā 'Unzila 'Ilaykum Min Rabbikum Min Qabli 'An Ya'tiyakumu Al-`Adhābu Baghtatan Wa 'Antum Lā Tash`urūna
And follow the best of what has been sent down to you from your Lord, before the retribution comes to you suddenly when you least expect it.
43:66
Hal Yanžurūna 'Illā As-Sā`ata 'An Ta'tiyahum Baghtatan Wa Hum Lā Yash`urūna
Do they only wait for the Hour to come to them suddenly, while they do not perceive?
47:18
Fahal Yanžurūna 'Illā As-Sā`ata 'An Ta'tiyahum Baghtatan Faqad Jā'a 'Ashrāţuhā Fa'anná Lahum 'Idhā Jā'at/hum Dhikrāhum
So are they waiting until the Hour comes to them suddenly? For its conditions have already been met. But once it comes to them, how will they benefit from their message?
