Ayn-Qaf-Miim
to be barren (womb), become dry, be unproductive, be gloomy, distressing, grievous (day), be childless, destructive.
'aqiiman
n. m. acc.
42:50
أَوْ يُزَوِّجُهُمْ ذُكْرَانا ً وَإِنَاثا ً وَيَجْعَلُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ عَقِيما ً إِنَّه ُُ عَلِيم ٌ قَدِير ٌ
'Aw Yuzawwijuhum Dhukrānāan Wa 'Ināthāan Wa Yaj`alu Man Yashā'u `Aqīmāan 'Innahu `Alīmun Qadīrun
Or, He may bestow them with both sons and daughters, and He makes whom He wills barren. He is Knowledgeable, Capable.

22:55
وَلاَ يَزَالُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي مِرْيَة ٍ مِنْهُ حَتَّى تَأْتِيَهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَقِيم ٍ
Wa Lā Yazālu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Fī Miryatin Minhu Ĥattá Ta'tiyahumu As-Sā`atu Baghtatan 'Aw Ya'tiyahum `Adhābu Yawmin `Aqīmin
And those who have rejected will remain to be in doubt from it until the Hour comes to them suddenly, or the retribution of a barren Day comes to them.
51:29
فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُه ُُ فِي صَرَّة ٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيم ٌ
Fa'aqbalati Amra'atuhu Fī Şarratin Faşakkat Wajhahā Wa Qālat `Ajūzun `Aqīmun
His wife then approached in amazement. She slapped upon her face, and said: A barren old woman!
51:41
وَفِي عَاد ٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ الْعَقِيمَ
Wa Fī `Ādin 'Idh 'Arsalnā `Alayhimu Ar-Rīĥa Al-`Aqīma
And also Aad, for We sent upon them the barren wind.
