And when Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved, he said: "Miserable is what you have done after I was gone; do you wish to hasten the action of your Lord?" And he cast down the tablets, and took his brother by his head dragging him towards him. He said: "Son of my mother, the people overpowered me and nearly killed me, so do not make the enemies rejoice over me, and do not make me with the wicked people."

2:51
Wa 'Idh Wā`adnā Mūsá 'Arba`īna Laylatan Thumma Attakhadhtumu Al-`Ijla Min Ba`dihi Wa 'Antum žālimūna

And We appointed a meeting time for Moses of forty nights, but then you took the calf after him while you were wicked.

2:54
Wa 'Idh Qāla Mūsá Liqawmihi Yā Qawmi 'Innakum žalamtum 'Anfusakum Biāttikhādhikumu Al-`Ijla Fatūbū 'Ilá Bāri'ikum Fāqtulū 'Anfusakum Dhālikum Khayrun Lakum `Inda Bāri'ikum Fatāba `Alaykum 'Innahu Huwa At-Tawwābu Ar-Raĥīmu

And Moses said to his people: "O my people, you have wronged your souls by taking the calf, so repent to your Maker, and kill yourselves. That is better for you with your Maker, so He would forgive you. He is the Forgiving, the Merciful."

2:92
Wa Laqad Jā'akum Mūsá Bil-Bayyināti Thumma Attakhadhtumu Al-`Ijla Min Ba`dihi Wa 'Antum žālimūna

And Moses had come to you with clear proofs, then you took the calf after him; you were wicked!

2:93
Wa 'Idh 'Akhadhnā Mīthāqakum Wa Rafa`nā Fawqakumu Aţ-Ţūra Khudhū Mā 'Ātaynākum Biqūwatin Wa Asma`ū Qālū Sami`nā Wa `Aşaynā Wa 'Ushribū Fī Qulūbihimu Al-`Ijla Bikufrihim Qul Bi'samā Ya'murukum Bihi 'Īmānukum 'In Kuntum Mu'uminīna

And We took your covenant, and raised the mount above you: "Take what We have given you with strength, and listen." They said: "We hear and disobey!" And they had consumed the calf inside their hearts by their disbelief. Say: "Miserable indeed is what your belief orders of you if you are believers!"

4:153
Yas'aluka 'Ahlu Al-Kitābi 'An Tunazzila `Alayhim Kitābāan Mina As-Samā'i Faqad Sa'alū Mūsá 'Akbara Min Dhālika Faqālū 'Arinā Allāha Jahratan Fa'akhadhat/humu Aş-Şā`iqatu Bižulmihim Thumma Attakhadhū Al-`Ijla Min Ba`di Mā Jā'at/humu Al-Bayyinātu Fa`afawnā `An Dhālika Wa 'Ātaynā Mūsá Sulţānāan Mubīnāan

The people of the Book ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven. They had asked Moses for even more than that, for they said: "Show us God openly!" So the lightning strike took them for their wickedness. Then they took the calf after the clarity had come to them, and We pardoned them for this; We gave Moses a clear authority.

7:148
Wa Attakhadha Qawmu Mūsá Min Ba`dihi Min Ĥulīyihim `Ijlāan Jasadāan Lahu Khuwārun 'Alam Yaraw 'Annahu Lā Yukallimuhum Wa Lā Yahdīhim Sabīlāan Attakhadhūhu Wa Kānū žālimīna

And the people of Moses, in his absence, made from their ornaments a sculpture of a calf that emitted a cry. Did they not see that it could not speak to them, nor guide them to any way? They took it and they were wicked.

7:152
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Attakhadhū Al-`Ijla Sayanāluhum GhaĐabun Min Rabbihim Wa Dhillatun Fī Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Kadhalika Najzī Al-Muftarīna

Those who took the calf will be dealt with a wrath from their Lord and a humiliation in this worldly life. It is such that We punish the fabricators.

11:69
Wa Laqad Jā'at Rusulunā 'Ibrāhīma Bil-Bushrá Qālū Salāmāan Qāla Salāmun Famā Labitha 'An Jā'a Bi`ijlin Ĥanīdhin

And Our messengers came to Abraham with good news, they said: "Peace" He said: "Peace," and he made no delay in bringing a roasted calf.

20:88
Fa'akhraja Lahum `Ijlāan Jasadāan Lahu Khuwārun Faqālū Hādhā 'Ilahukum Wa 'Ilahu Mūsá Fanasiya

He then produced for them a sculpture of a calf that emitted a cry. So they said: "This is your god and the god of Moses, but he had forgotten!"

51:26
Farāgha 'Ilá 'Ahlihi Fajā'a Bi`ijlin Samīnin

Then he went to his family and brought a fat calf.

Wa Rabbuka Al-Ghafūru Dhū Ar-Raĥmati Law Yu'uākhidhuhum Bimā Kasabū La`ajjala Lahumu Al-`Adhāba Bal Lahum Maw`idun Lan Yajidū Min Dūnihi Maw'ilāan

And your Lord is forgiving, with mercy. If He were to evaluate the people for what they had already earned, He would hasten for them the retribution. No, they have an appointment, beyond which they will find no escape.

48:20

Qāla Yā Qawmi Lima Tasta`jilūna Bis-Sayyi'ati Qabla Al-Ĥasanati Lawlā Tastaghfirūna Allāha La`allakum Turĥamūna

He said: "My people, why do you hasten with evil ahead of good? If you would only seek the forgiveness of God, perhaps you will receive mercy."

27:72
Qul `Asá 'An Yakūna Radifa Lakum Ba`Đu Al-Ladhī Tasta`jilūna

Say: "Perhaps He is now sending your way some of that which you hasten."

29:53
Wa Yasta`jilūnaka Bil-`Adhābi Wa Lawlā 'Ajalun Musammáan Lajā'ahumu Al-`Adhābu Wa Laya'tiyannahum Baghtatan Wa Hum Lā Yash`urūna

And they hasten you for the retribution! If it were not for an appointed term, the retribution would have come to them. It will come to them suddenly, when they do not expect.

29:54
Yasta`jilūnaka Bil-`Adhābi Wa 'Inna Jahannama Lamuĥīţatun Bil-Kāfirīna

They hasten you for the retribution; while Hell surrounds the rejecters.

37:16
'A'idhā Mitnā Wa Kunnā Turābāan Wa `Ižāmāan 'A'innā Lamab`ūthūna

Can it be that after we die and become dust and bones, that we are resurrected?

42:18
Yasta`jilu Bihā Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Bihā Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Mushfiqūna Minhā Wa Ya`lamūna 'Annahā Al-Ĥaqqu 'Alā 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yumārūna Fī As-Sā`ati Lafī Đalālin Ba`īdin

Those who do not believe in it seek to hasten it, while those who believe are concerned about it, and they know that it is the truth. Certainly, those who dispute the Hour have gone far astray.

46:35
Fāşbir Kamā Şabara 'Ūlū Al-`Azmi Mina Ar-Rusuli Wa Lā Tasta`jil Lahum Ka'annahum Yawma Yarawna Mā Yū`adūna Lam Yalbathū 'Illā Sā`atan Min Nahārin Balāghun Fahal Yuhlaku 'Illā Al-Qawmu Al-Fāsiqūna

Therefore, be patient like the messengers of strong-will did before you and do not be in haste regarding them. On the Day they will see what they have been promised, it will be as if they had not remained except for one hour of a single day. A proclamation: Are any destroyed except for the wicked people?

51:14
Dhūqū Fitnatakum Hādhā Al-Ladhī Kuntum Bihi Tasta`jilūna

Taste this ordeal of yours; this is what you asked to be hastened.

51:59
Fa'inna Lilladhīna žalamū Dhanūbāan Mithla Dhanūbi 'Aşĥābihim Falā Yasta`jilūni

The transgressors will have the same fate as their previous friends; so let them not be hasty.

10:11
Wa Law Yu`ajjilu Allāhu Lilnnāsi Ash-Sharra Asti`jālahum Bil-Khayri LaquĐiya 'Ilayhim 'Ajaluhum Fanadharu Al-Ladhīna Lā Yarjūna Liqā'anā Fī Ţughyānihim Ya`mahūna

And if God hastened for the people the evil as He hastens for them the good, then they would have been ruined. We thus leave those who do not wish to meet Us wandering in their transgression.
