7:1  A (Alif), L (Laam), M (Miim), S (Soad):

7:2  It is a book (Kitaabun) revealed (Unzila) to you (s) (ilai'ka), so (Fa) let there be (Yakun) no (Laa) difficulty (Harajun) in (Fii) your bosom (Sod'ri-ka) thereof (Min'hu) that (Li) you may warn (Tunzira) by it (Bihi) and (Wa) as remembrance (Zik'raa) for the believers (Lil' Mu'miniin). (6:19)

7:3  Follow (6:155) (Ettabiu') what (Maa) has been revealed (Unzila) to you (p) (ilai'kum) from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-kum') and do not (Walaa) follow (Tattabiu') allies (Aw'liyaa'a) besides HIM (Min Duuni-hi). Rarely do (Qaliilan Maa) you take heed (Tazakkaruun).

7:4  And (Wa) how many (Kam) a (Min) town (Qar'yatin) have We annihilated (Ah'lak'naa-haa), and (Fa) Our torment (Ba'su-naa) came to them (Jaa'a-ha) in retirement (Bayaatan) or (Aw) while they (Hum') were resting (Qaai'luun).

7:5  And (Fa) when (Iz') Our torment (Ba'su-naa) came to them (Jaa'a-hum), their allegation (Da'waa-hum) was (Kaana) only (Maa illaa) to (An) say (Qaaluu'), "Indeed (Inna), we were (Kunnaa) transgressors (Zoalimiin)!"

7:6  Therefore (Fa) We will (La) question (Nas'alanna) those (Ellaziina) to whom (ilai'him) it was sent (Ur'sila), and (Wa) We will (La) question (Nas'alanna) the messengers (5:109) (El'Mur'saliin).

7:7  Then (Fa) We will (La) narrate (Naqussonna) to them (Älai'him) by (Bi) knowledge (il'min); for (Wa) We were (Kunnaa) not (Maa) absent (Gaa'ibiin).

7:8  And (Wa) the weighing (El'Waz'nu) on that day (Yaw'maizin) will be the truth (El'Haqqu). And (Fa) those (Man) whose scales (Mawaaziinu-hu) will be heavy (Thaqulat'), thence (Fa) they (Humu) will be those (U'laaika) who are the successful (El'Muf'lihuun).

7:9  As for (Wa) those (Man') whose scales (Mawaaziinu-hu) will be light (Khaffat'), then (Fa) those (U'laaika) are the ones who (Ellaziina) will lose (Khasiruu') their souls (Anfusa-hum) because (Bimaa) they were (Kaanu') unjust (Yuz'limuun) to (Bi) Our verses (Aayaati-naa).

7:10  And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad') established you (p) (Makkannaa-kum') on earth (Fiil' Ar'di) and (Wa) made (Jaäl'naa) livelihood (Ma'ääyisha) for you (Lakum') therein (Fiihaa). Rarely (Qaliilan Maa) are you thankful (Tash'kuruun).

7:11  And (Wa) We certainly (Laqad') created you (Khalaq'naa-kum') and (Thumma) formed you (Sowwar'naa-kum'), and then (Thumma) We said (Qul'naa) to the Angels (Lil' Malaaikati), "Prostrate (Es'judu') to (Li) Adam (Aadama)," so (Fa) they prostrated (Sajaduu'), except (illaa) Lucifer (Ib'liisa); he was (Yakun) not (Lam') of (Mina) those who prostrated (Es'Saajidiin). (17:61)

7:12  HE (God) said (Qaala), "What (Maa) prevented you (Manaä-ka) to not (Alla) prostrate (Tas'juda) when (Iz') I commanded you (Amar'tu-ka)?" He (Lucifer) said (Qaala), "I am (Ana') better (Khai'run) than him (Adam) (Min'hu); YOU created me (Khalaq'tanii) from (Min) fire (Naarin) and (Wa) created him (Khalaq'ta-hu) from (Min) clay (Tiini)."

7:13  HE (God) said (Qaala), "Then (Fa) descend (Eh'bit') from it (Min'ha), for (Fa) you do not have (Maa Yakuunu Laka) to (An) be arrogant (Tatakabbara) therein (Fiiha). So (Fa) go out (Ekh'ruj'); indeed, you (Innaka) are of (Mina) the dejected (Es'Soagiriin)."

7:14  He (Lucifer) said (Qaala), "Respite me (Anzir'nii) until (ilaa) the day (Yaw'mi) they will be resurrected (Yub'äthuun)."

7:15  HE (God) said (Qaala), "Indeed, you (Innaka) are of (Mina) the respited (El'Munzoriin)."

7:16  He (Lucifer) said (Qaala), "Because of what (Fabimaa) YOU have trapped me (Ag'wai'tanii), I will (La) sit (Aq'udanna) for them (Lahum') on YOUR (-ka) straight (El'Mus'taqiim) path (Siraata-). (6:153)

7:17  "Then (Thumma) I will (La) come to them (Atiyannahum) from (Min) their front (Bai'ni Ai'dii-him') and (Wa) from (Min') their behind (Khal'fi-him') and from (Än) their right (Ai'maani-him') and from (Än) their left (Shamaaili-him'), and (Wa) YOU will not (Laa) find (Tajidu) most of them (Ak'thara-hum') grateful (Shaakiriin)."

7:18  HE (God) said (Qaala), "Go out (Ekh'ruj') from it (Min'ha), disgraced (Maz'uuman) and banished (Mad'huuran). For (La) whosoever (Man) follows you (Lucifer) (Tabiä-ka) among them (Min'hum'), I will (La) fill (Am'la'anna) Hell (Jahannama) with you (Minkum'), all together (Aj'maeen). (17:63)

7:19  "O (Yaa) Adam (Aadamu), you (Anta) and (Wa) your mate (f) (Zaw'ju-ka) should dwell in (Es'kun') the garden (El'Jannata) and (Fa) eat (Kulaa) from (Min') wherever (Hai'thu) you both desire (Shi'tumaa), but (Wa) do not (Laa) approach (Taq'raba) this (Haazihi) tree (Es'Shajarata), then (Fa) you would be (Takuuna) of (Mina) the transgressors (Ez'Zoalimiin)." (2:35)

7:20  But (Fa) the devil (Es'Shai'toanu) whispered (Was'wasa) to them both (Lahumaa) in order to (Li) show them (Yub'diya Lahuma) what (Maa) was concealed (Wu'riya) from them (Än'humaa) of (Min) their bodies (shame) (Saw'aati-himaa). He (the devil) said (Qaala), "Your LORD (Rabbu-kumaa) did not (Maa) forbid you (Nahaa-kumaa) from (Än') this (Haazihi) tree (20:120) (Es'Shajarati) except (illa) from (An) becoming (Takuuna) two angels (Malakai'ni) or (Aw') being (Takuuna) among (Mina) the immortals (El'Khaalidiin)."

7:21  And (Wa) he (the devil) swore to them both (Qaasama-humaa), "Indeed, I am (Innii) of (Lamina) the advisers (En'Naasihiin) to you (Lakumaa)."

7:22  So (Fa) he indicated them (Dallaa-humaa) by (Bi) delusion (Guruurin). And (Fa) when (Lamma) they tasted (Zaaqa) the tree (Es'Shajarata), their bodies (Saw'aatu-huma) became apparent to them (Badat' Lahuma), and they immediately began (Tafiqaa) to cover themselves (Yukh'sifaani Älai'hima) from (Min) the leaves (Waraqi) of the garden (El'Jannati). And (Wa) their LORD (Rabbu-humaa) called them both (Naadaa-humaa), "Did I not (Alam') forbid you (An'ha-kumaa) from (Än) that (Til'kuma) tree (Es'Shajarati) and (Wa) told you both (Aqulla-kumaa) that (Inna) the devil (Es'Shai'toana) is a clear (Mubiin) enemy (Äduwwun) to you (Lakumaa)?"

7:23  They said (Qaalaa), "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), we have wronged (Zolam'naa) our souls (Anfusa-naa), and (Wa) if (In) YOU do not (Lam') forgive us (Tag'fir' Lanaa) and have mercy upon us (Tar'ham'naa), we would (La) be (Nakuunanna) of (Mina) the losers (El'Khaasiriin)." (20:122)

7:24  HE (God) said (Qaala), "Descend (Eh'bitu') as enemies (Äduww') to each other (Ba'du-kum' Li Ba'din). And (Wa) for you (p) (Lakum) is residence (Mus'taqarrun) and enjoyment (Mataaun) until (ilaa) a time (Hiin)."

7:25  HE (God) said (Qaala), "Therein (Fiiha) you will live (Tah'yaw'na), and (Wa) therein (Fiiha) you will die (Tamuutuuna), and from it (Min'haa) you will be brought forth (resurrected) (Tukh'rajuun)."

7:26  O (Yaa) children (Banii) of Adam (Aadama), We have (Qad') revealed to you (Anzal'naa Älai'kum) clothing (Libaasan) to conceal (Yuwaarii) your bodies (shame) (Saw'aati-kum'), and (Wa) as apparel (Riishan). As for (Wa) the clothing (Libaasu) of piousness (Ettaq'waa); that (Zaalika) is best (Khai'run). That (Zaalika) is from (Min') the signs of GOD (Aayaati-llahi) perhaps they (Lällahum') will remember (Yazakkaruun).

7:27  O (Yaa) children (Banii) of Adam (Aadama), do not let (Laa) the devil (Es’Shaitoanu) entice you (Yaf'tinannakum) as (Kamaa) he ousted (Akh'raja) your two parents (Abawai'kum’) from (Mina) the garden (El'Jannati), abstaining them from (Yanza'u Än'humaa) their clothing (Libaasa-humaa) in order to (Li) show them (Yuriyahuma) their bodies (Saw'aati-himaa). Indeed (Innahu), he (Huwa) and (Wa) his tribe (jinns) (Qabiilu-hu) see you (Yaraa-kum) from (Min') where (Hai'thu) you do not (Laa) see them (Taraw'nahum'). Indeed (Innaa), We have appointed (Jaäl'naa) the devils (Es'Shayaatiina) as allies (Aw'liyaa'a) to those who (Lillaziina) do not (Laa) believe (Yu'minuun).

7:28  And (Wa) when (Izaa) they act (Faälu') obscene (Faahishatan), they say (Qaalu'), "We found (Wajad'na) our fathers (Aabaa'a-naa) upon it (Älai'haa), and GOD (Ellahu) has commanded us (Amara-naa) to it (Bihaa)." Say (Qul'): "Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) does not (Laa) command (Ya'muru) to (Bi) obscenity (El'Fah'shaa'i). Are you saying (A-taquluuna) about GOD (Älaallahi) what (Maa) you do not (Laa) know (Ta'lamuun)?"

7:29  Say (Qul'): "My LORD (Rabbii) commands to (Amara Bi) justice (El'Qis'ti) and (Wa) to erect (Aqiimu') your faces (Wujuuha-kum’) at (Enda) every (Kulli) mosque (Mas'jidin) and invoke HIM (Ed'uu-hu) sincerely devoting (Mukh'lisiina) the religion (Ed'Diina) to HIM (Lahu)." Just as (Kamaa) HE initiated you (p) (Bada’a-kum’), you will return (Tauuduun).

7:30  A group (Fariiqan) HE guided (Hadaa), and (Wa) another group (Fariiqan) had error (Ed'Dolaalatu) imposed on them (Haqqa Älai'himu). Indeed, they (Innahumu) have taken (Ettakhazu) the devils (Es'Shayaatiina) as allies (Aw'liyaa'a) other than GOD (Min Duuni-llahi), and they think (Yah'sabuuna) that they (Annahum) are guided (Muh'taduun).

7:31  O (Yaa) children (Banii) of Adam (Aadama), take (Khuzu') your adornment (Ziinata-kum’) to (Enda) every (Kulli) mosque (Mas'jidin), and (Wa) eat (Kulu') and drink (Esh'rabu'), but (Wa) do not (Laa) waste (Tus'rifuu'). Indeed, HE (Innahu) does not (Laa) like (Yuhibbu) the profligates (El'Mus'rifiin).

7:32  Say (Qul'): "Who (Man) has forbidden (Harrama) the adornment of GOD (Ziinata-llahi) which (Ellatii) HE has produced (Akh'raja) for (Li) HIS servants (Ebaadi-hi) as well as (Wa) the good things (Ettoyyibaati) of (Mina) sustenance (Er'Riz'qi)?" Say (Qul'): "They (the adornment) (Hiya) are exclusively (Khaalisotan) for those who (Lillaziina) believe (Aamanu') during (Fii) the worldly (Ed'Dun'ya) life (El'Hayaati) to the Day of Resurrection (Yaw'mal' Qiyaamati)." Thus (Kazaalika) have We explained (Nufassilu) the verses (El'Aayaati) for (Li) people (Qaw'min) who know (Ya'lamuun).

7:33  Say (Qul'): "My LORD (Rabbiya) only (Innamaa) forbids (Harrama) obscenities (El'Fawaahisha); what (Maa) is apparent (Zohara) thereof (Min'ha) and what (Wamaa) is hidden (Batona) of sin (El' Ith'ma), and oppression (El'Bag'ya) without (Bi-Gai'ri) right (El'Haqqi), and to (An) associate others (Tush'riku') with GOD (Billahi) for which (Bihi) HE has not (Maa Lam') sent down (Yunazzil') any authority (Sul'toanan), and (Wa) to (An) say (Taquulu') what (Maa) you do not (Laa) know (Ta'lamuun) about GOD (Älaallahi)."

7:34  And (Wa) for (Li) every (Kulli) nation (Ummatin) is a term (Ajalun). So (Fa) when (Izaa) their term (Ajalu-hum) has come (Jaa'a), they will not (Laa) be delayed (Yas'ta'khiruuna) an hour (Saa'ät'), nor (Walaa) will they advance (Yas'taq'dimuun).

7:35  O (Yaa) children (Banii) of Adam (Aadama), if (Immaa) messengers (10:47) (Rusulun) among you (Minkum') come to you (Ya'tiyanna-kum) narrating (Yaqussuuna) MY verses (Aayaatii) to you (Älai'kum), then (Fa) whoever (Mani) becomes pious (Ettaqaa) and (Wa) reforms (As'laha); there (Fa) will be no (Laa) fear (Khaw'fun) upon them (Älai'him) nor (Walaa) will they (Hum') grieve (Yah'zanuun).

7:36  As for (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) deny (Kazzabu' Bi) Our verses (Aayaati-naa) and (Wa) become arrogant (Es'tak'baru') towards them (Än'haa), those (U'laaika) will be the companions (As'haabu) of the Fire (En'Naari), they (Hum') will be therein (Fiiha) eternally (Khaaliduun).

7:37  So who (Faman') is more unjust (Az'lamu) than one who (Mimmani) fabricates (Ef'taraa) falsehood (Kaziban) about GOD (Älaallahi) or (Aw') deny (Kazzaba Bi) HIS verses (Aayaati-hi)? Those (U'laaika) will acquire (Yanaalu-hum) their share (Nasiibu-hum) of (Mina) the register (El'Kitaabi) until (Hattaa) when (Izaa) Our messengers (Angels) (Rusulu-naa) come to them (Jaa'at'hum) to cause their death (Yatawaffaw'nahum), they (the messengers) will say (Qaaluu'), "Where (Ai'na) are those (Maa) you used to (Kuntum) invoke (Tad'uuna) besides GOD (Min Duuni-llahi)?" They (the unjust) will say (Qaalu'), "They have diverted from us (Dollu' Ännaa)," and (Wa) they will testify (Shahidu') against (Älaa) themselves (Anfusi-him) that they (Annahum) were (Kaanu') disbelievers (Kaafiriin).

7:38  HE (God) will say (Qaala), "Enter (Ed'khulu') into (Fii) the Fire (En'Naari) among (Fii) nations (Umamin) which had already (Qad') passed (Khalat') before you (p) (Min Qab'li-kum) of (Mina) jinns (El'Jinni) and humans (Wal' Insi)." Whenever (Kullama) a nation (Ummatun) enters (Dakhalat'), it will (La) curse (Änat') its sister (Ukh'ta-ha) until (Hattaa) when (Izaa) it has overtaken (Ed'Daaraku') all (Jamiiän) therein (Fiiha), the last of them (Ukh'raa-hum) will say to (Qaalat' Li) the first of them (Uulaa-hum), "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), these people (Haaulaai) misled us (Adolluu-naa), so (Fa) give them (Aati-him) a double (Di'fan) punishment (Äzaaban) of (Mina) the Fire (En'Naari)." HE (God) will say (Qaala), "For (Li) each (Kullin) is a double (Di'fun), but (Walaakin) you do not (Laa) know (Ta'lamuun)."

7:39  And (Wa) the first of them (Uulaa-hum) will say to (Qaalat' Li) the last of them (Ukh'raa-hum), "So (Fa) you do not have (Maa Kaana Lakum) any (Min) preference (Fad'lin) over us (Älai'na), then (Fa) taste (Zuuqu') the punishment (El'Äzaaba) for what (Bimaa) you have (Kuntum') earned (Tak'sibuun)."

7:40  Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) deny (Kazzabu' Bi) Our verses (Aayaati-naa) and (Wa) become arrogant (Es'tak'baru') towards them (Än'haa), the gates (Ab'waabu) of heaven (Es'Samaai) will not (Laa) be opened (Tufattahu) for them (Lahum), nor (Walaa) will they enter (Yad'khuluuna) the Garden (El'Jannata) until (Hattaa) a camel (El'Jamalu) penetrates (Yalija) into (Fii) the eye (Sammi) of a needle (El'Khiyaati). Thus (Kazaalika) will We requite (Naj'zii) the criminals (El'Muj'rimiin). (3:24)

7:41  For them (Lahum) is a resting place (Mihaadun) of (Min) Hell (Jahannama) and (Wa) coverings (Gawaashin) above them (Min Faw'qi-him'). And (Wa) thus (Kazaalika) will We requite (Naj'zii) the transgressors (Ez'Zoalimiin).

7:42  As for (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) believed (Aamanu') and (Wa) did (Ämilu') good deeds (Es'Soalihaati), We do not (Laa) charge (Nukallifu) a soul (Naf'san) except (illa) by its capacity (23:62) (Wus'ä-haa). Those (U'laaika) are the Companions (As'haabu) of the Garden (El'Jannati); they (Hum') will be therein (Fiiha) eternally (Khaaliduun).

7:43  And (Wa) We will remove (Naza'naa) whatever (Maa) is in (Fii) their bosoms (Suduuri-him) of (Min') rancour (Gillin), rivers (El'An'haaru) will flow (Taj'rii) beneath them (Min Tah'ti-himu). And they will say (Qaalu'), "Praise (El'Ham'du) be to GOD (Lillahi), who (Ellazii) has guided us (Hadaa-naa) to (Li) this (Haaza); for (Wa) we would (Kunnaa) not (Maa) have been guided (Nah'tadiya) if (Law') GOD (Ellahu) had not (Laa) guided us (Hadaa-naa). Certainly (Laqad') the messengers (Rusulu) of our LORD (Rabbi-naa) had brought (Jaa'at' Bi) the truth (El'Haqqi)." And (Wa) they will be called (Nuuduu') that (An), "Here (Til'kumu) is the Garden (El'Jannatu), which you have inherited (Uwrith'tumuu-haa) for what (Bimaa) you have done (Ta'maluun)."

7:44  And (Wa) the Companions (As'haabu) of the Garden (El'Jannati) will call (Naadaa) the companions (As'haaba) of the Fire (En'Naari) that (An), "We have (Qad') found (Wajad'naa) what (Maa) our LORD (Rabbu-naa) promised us (Waäda-naa) to be true (Haqqan). So (Fa) have (Hal') you found (Wajadttum) what (Maa) your LORD (Rabbu-kum') promised (Waäda) to be true (Haqqan)?" They (the Companions of the Fire) will say (Qaalu'), "Yes (Naäm')." Then (Fa) an announcer (Muazzinu) will announce (Azzana) between them (Bai'nahum') that (An), "The curse of GOD (La'natu-llahi) is upon (Älaa) the transgressors (Ez'Zoalimiin),

7:45  who (Ellaziina) repelled (Yasudduuna) from (Än) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi) and (Wa) sought to make it (Yab'guunahaa) crooked (Ewajan) while (Wa) they (Hum) were disbelievers (Kaafiruun) in the hereafter (Bil' Aakhirati)."

7:46  And (Wa) a partition (Hijaabun) will be between them (the two groups) (Bai'nahumaa), and (Wa) upon (Älaa) the Heights (El’A'raafi)* are people (Rijaalun) who will recognize (Ya'rifuuna) everyone (Kulla) by (Bi) their mark (sign) (Siimaa-hum'). And (Wa) they will call (Naadaw') the companions (As'haaba) of the Garden (El'Jannati) that (An), "Peace (Salaamun) be upon you (Älai'kum')." They (On the heights) have not yet (Lam') entered it (Paradise) (Yad'khuluuhaa), but (Wa) they (Hum') are coveting (Yat'ma'uun).

7:47  And (Wa) when (Izaa) their eyesight (Ab'soaru-hum') are diverted (Surifat') facing (Til'qaa'a) the Companions (As'haabi) of the Fire (En'Naari), they (On the heights) will say (Qaalu'), "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), do not (Laa) put us (Taj'äl'naa) with (Maä) the transgressing (Ez'Zoalimiin) people (El'Qaw'mi)."

7:48  And (Wa) the Companions (As'haabu) on the Heights (El'A'raafi) will call out (Naadaa) people (Rijaalan) they recognize (Ya'rifuunahum) by (Bi) their mark (Siimaa-hum'), saying (Qaalu'), "Your crowd (Jam'u-kum') did not (Maa) avail you (Ag'naa Änkum') nor (Wamaa) did your (Kuntum') arrogance (Tas'tak'biruun)."

7:49  (It will be said to those in the fire) "Are these (A-haau'laai) the ones whom (Ellaziina) you swore (Aq'sam'tum') that GOD (Ellahu) will not (Laa) grant them (Yanaalu-humu) with (Bi) mercy (Rah'matin)? (To those on the heights) Enter (Ed'khulu') the Garden (El'Jannata), there will be no (Laa) fear (Khaw'fun) upon you (Älai'kum') nor (Walaa) will you (Antum') grieve (Tah'zanuun)."

7:50  And (Wa) the Companions (As'haabu) of the Fire (En'Naari) will call out (Naadaa) the Companions (As'haaba) of the Garden (El'Jannati) that (An'), "Pour (Afiidu') from (Mina) the water (El'Maa'i) to us (Älai'naa) or (Aw') some of what (Mimmaa) GOD (Ellahu) has provided you (Razaqa-kumu)." They (the Companions of Paradise) will say (Qaaluu'), "Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) has forbidden them both (Harrama-humaa) for (Älaa) the disbelievers (El'Kaafiriin),

7:51  who (Ellaziina) took (Ettakhazu') their religion (Diina-hum') as amusement (Lah'wan) and (Wa) play (Laeban), and the worldly (Ed'Dun'yaa) life (El'Hayaatu) deluded them (Garrat'humu)." So (Fa) today (El'Yaw'ma) We will forget them (Nansaa-hum') as (Kamaa) they forgot (Nasu') the meeting (Liqaa'a) of this (Haaza) day of theirs (Yaw'mi-him') and that (Wamaa) they were (Kaanu') rejecting (Yaj'haduun Bi) Our verses (Aayaati-naa).

7:52  And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad') brought them (Ji'naa-hum Bi) a book (Kitaabin) which We have detailed (Fassol'naa-hu) by (Älaa) knowledge (il'min), as guidance (Hudan) and mercy (Rah'matan) for (Li) people (Qaw'min) who believe (Yu'minuun).

7:53  Are (Hal') they waiting (Yanzuruuna) only (illa) its interpretation (10:39) (Ta'wiila-hu)? The day (Yaw'ma) its interpretation (Ta'wiilu-hu) comes (Ya'tii), those who (Ellaziina) forgot it (Nasuu-hu) before (Min Qab'lu) will say (Yaquulu), "The messengers (Rusulu) of our LORD (Rabbi-naa) had (Qad') brought (Jaa'at' Bi) the truth (El'Haqqi), so (Fa) do (Hal) we have (Lanaa) any (Min) intercessors (Shufaää'a) to (Fa) intercede (Yash'fau') for us 1 (Lanaa) or (Aw') could we return (Nuraddu) to (Fa) do (Na'mala) other than (Gai'ra) what (Ellazii) we used to (Kunna) do 2 (Na'mal)?" They will have (Qad') lost (Khasiruu') their souls (Anfusa-hum), and (Wa) what (Maa) they used to (Kaanu') fabricate (Yaf'taruun) diverted from them (Dolla Än'hum).

7:54  Indeed (Inna), your LORD (Rabba-kumu) is GOD (Ellahu), the One who (Ellazii) created (Khalaqa) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'do) in (Fii) six (Sittati) days (Ayyaamin) and then (Thumma) sat firmly on (Es'tawaa Älaa) the Throne (69:17) (El'Är'shi). HE causes the night (El'Lai'la) to cover (Yug'shii) the day (En'Nahaara) by HIS request (Yat'lubu-hu) rapidly (Hathiithan), and (Wa) the sun (Es'Sham'sa), the moon (El'Qamara), and the stars (En'Nujuuma) are subjugated (Musakkharaati) by (Bi) HIS command (Am'ri-hi). Verily (Ala), to HIM belongs (Lahu) the creation (El'Khal'qu) and the command (Wal' Am'ru); blessed is GOD (Tabaaraka-llahu), the LORD (Rabbu) of the worlds (El'Äälamiin).

7:55  Invoke (Ed'u') your LORD (Rabbu-kum') by imploring (Tadorru'än) and (Wa) in secret (Khuf'yatan). Indeed, HE (Innahu) does not (Laa) like (Yuhibbu) the trespassers (El'Mu'tadiin).

7:56  And (Wa) do not (Laa) corrupt (Tuf'sidu') on earth (Fiil' Ar'di) after (Ba'da) its reformation (Is'laahi-haa), and (Wa) invoke HIM (Ed'uu-hu) in fear (Khaw'fan) and ambition (Tomaän). Indeed (Inna), the mercy of GOD (Rah'mata-llahi) is near (Qariibun) for (Mina) those who are benevolent (El'Muh'siniin).

7:57  And (Wa) HE (Huwa) is the One who (Ellazii) sends (Yur'silu) the winds (Er'Riyaaha) as good news (Bush'raa) before (Bai'na Yadai') HIS mercy (Rah'mati-hi) until (Hattaa) when (Izaa) they have transported (Aqallat') the heavy (Thiqaalan) clouds (Sahaaban), We drive them (Suq'naa-hu) to (Li) a lifeless (Mayyitin) land (Baladin), then (Fa) We send down (Anzal'naa) water (El'Maa'a) thereby (Bihi) to (Fa) produce (Akh'raj'naa) of (Min) all (Kulli) fruits (Etthamaraati) thereby (Bihi). Likewise (Kazaalika) will We bring forth (Nukh'riju) the dead (El'Maw'taa); perhaps you (Laällakum') will take heed (Tazakkaruun).

7:58  And (Wa) the good (Ettoyyibu) land (El'Baladu) produces (Yakh'ruju) its plants (Nabaatu-hu) by (Bi) the permission (Iz'ni) of its LORD (Rabbi-hi), while (Wa) the one which (Ellazii) is bad (Khabutha) does not (Laa) produce (Yakh'ruju) except (illa) laboriously (Nakidaan). Thus (Kazaalika) have We conducted (Nusorrifu) the signs (El'Aayaati) for (Li) people (Qaw'min) who are thankful (Yash'kuruun).

7:59  We had certainly (Laqad') sent (Ar'sal'naa) Noah (Nuuhan) to (ilaa) his people (Qaw'mi-hi), and (Fa) he said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) my people (Qaw'mi), worship GOD (E'budu'llaha); you have (Lakum) no (Maa Min') god (ilaahin) other than HIM (Gai'ruhu). Indeed, I (Innii) fear for you (Akhaafu Älai'kum') the punishment (Äzaaba) of a terrible (Äziim) day (Yaw'min)."

7:60  A crowd (El'Malau) among (Min) his people (Qaw'mi-hi) said (Qaala), "Indeed (Innaa), we can (La) see you (Naraa-ka) in (Fii) clear (Mubiin) error (Dolaalin)."

7:61  He (Noah) said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) my people (Qaw'mi), I am not (Lai'sa Bii) astray (Dolaalatun); but I am (Walaakinnii) a messenger (Rasuulun) of (Min) the LORD (Rabbi) of the worlds (El'Äälamiin).

7:62  "I notify you (Uballigu-kum') the messages (Risaalaati) of my LORD (Rabbii) and (Wa) advise you (Ansohu Lakum'); for (Wa) I know (A'lamu) from GOD (Minallahi) what (Maa) you do not (Laa) know (Ta'lamuun).

7:63  "Or (Awa) are you amazed (Äjib'tum') that (An) a remembrance (Zik'run) from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-kum') has come to you (Jaa'a-kum') through (Älaa) a man (Rajulin) among you (Minkum') in order to (Li) warn you (Yunzira-kum') so (Wa) that (Li) you may reverence (Tattaqu') and (Wa) that you (Laällakum') may attain mercy (Tur'hamuun)?"

7:64  But (Fa) they denied him (Kazzabuu-hu), so (Fa) We rescued him (Anjai'naa-hu) and (Wa) those (Ellaziina) with him (Maähu) in (Fii) the ship (ark) (El'Ful'ki) and (Wa) drowned (Ag'raq'naa) those who (Ellaziina) denied (Kazzabu' Bi) Our signs (Aayaati-naa). Indeed, they (Innahum') were (Kaanu') a blinded (Ämiin) people (Qaw'man).

7:65  And (Wa) to (ilaa) Ad (Äädin); their brother (Akhaa-hum') Hud (Huudan). He said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) my people (Qaw'mi), worship GOD (E'budu-llaha); you have (Lakum) no (Maa Min') god (ilaahin) other than HIM (Gai'ruhu). Will you then not (Afalaa) be pious (Tattaquun)?"

7:66  A crowd (El'Malaau) of those who (Ellaziina) disbelieved (Kafaru') among (Min) his people (Qaw'mi-hi) said (Qaala), "Indeed (Innaa), we can (La) see you (Naraa-ka) in (Fii) foolishness (Safaahatin), and (Wa) indeed (Innaa), we think you (Nazunnu-ka) are (La) of (Mina) the liars (El'Kaazibiin)."

7:67  He (Hud) said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) my people (Qaw'mi), I am not (Lai'sa Bii) stupid (Safaahatun); but I am (Walaakinnii) a messenger (Rasuulun) of (Min) the LORD (Rabbi) of the worlds (El'Äälamiin).

7:68  "I notify you (Uballigu-kum') the messages (Risaalaati) of my LORD (Rabbii), and (Wa) I am (Ana') a reliable (Amiinu) adviser (Naasihun) to you (Lakum).

7:69  "Or (Awa) are you amazed (Äjib'tum') that (An) a remembrance (Zik'run) from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-kum') has come to you (Jaa'a-kum') through (Älaa) a man (Rajulin) among you (Minkum') in order to (Li) warn you (Yanzira-kum')? But (Wa) remember (Az'kuruu') when (Iz') HE made you (Jaäla-kum') successors (Khulafaa'a) after (Min Ba'di) the people (Qaw'mi) of Noah (7:59) (Nuuhin) and (Wa) increased you (Zaada-kum') in (Fii) creation (El'Khal'qi) extensively (Bas'totan). So (Fa) remember (Az'kuruu') the favours (Aalaa'a) of GOD (Ellahi) so that you (Laällakum') may succeed (Tuf'lihuun)."

7:70  They said (Qaaluu'), "Have you come to us (A'ji'ta-naa) that (Li) we should worship GOD (Na'buda-llaha) alone (39:45) (Wah'dahu) and (Wa) leave (Nazara) what (Maa) our fathers (Aabaau-naa) used to (Kaana) worship (Ya'budu)? Then bring us (Fa'ti-naa) what (Bimaa) you promised us (Taedu-naa), if (In) you should be (Kunta) of (Mina) the truthful (Es'Soadiqiin)."

7:71  He (Hud) said (Qaala), "Filth (Rij'sun) and wrath (Gadobun) have come upon you (Waqaä Älai'kum) from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-kum'). Are you arguing with me (A-tujaadiluunanii) concerning (Fii) names (As'maa'in) which (-haa) you (Antum') and (Wa) your fathers (Abaa'u-kum) have named (Sammai'tumuu-), for which (Bihaa) GOD (Ellahu) has not (Maa) sent down (Nazzala) any (Min) authority (Sul'toanin)? Therefore (Fa) wait (Entaziruu'); indeed, I am (Innii) among (Mina) those waiting (El'Muntaziriin) with you (Maäkum)."

7:72  So (Fa) We rescued him (Anjai'naa-hu) and (Wa) those (Ellaziina) with him (Maähu), by (Bi) mercy (Rah'matin) from Us (Minnaa), and (Wa) We severed (Qata'naa) the root (Daabira) of those who (Ellaziina) denied (Kazzabu' Bi) Our signs (Aayaati-naa), for (Wa) they were (Kaanu') not (Maa) believers (Mu'miniin).

7:73  And (Wa) to (ilaa) Thamud (Thamuuda); their brother (Akhaa-hum') Shelah (Soalihan). He said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) my people (Qaw'mi), worship GOD (E'budu-llaha); you have (Lakum) no (Maa Min') god (ilaahin) other than HIM (Gai'ruhu). A proof (Bayyinatun) has (Qad') come to you (Jaa'at'kum) from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-kum'). This (Haazihi) is the she-camel (Naaqatu) of GOD (Ellahi) as a sign (miracle) (Aayatan) for you (Lakum'); so (Fa) let her (Zaruu-haa) eat (Ta'kul') in (Fii) the land of GOD (Ar'di-llahi), and do not (Walaa) touch her (Tamassuu-haa) with (Bi) harm (Suu'in), then (Fa) you will be seized by (Ya'khuza-kum') a painful (Aliimu) punishment (Äzaabun).

7:74  And (Wa) remember (Ez'kuruu') when (Iz') HE made you (Jaäla-kum') successors (Khulafaa'a) after (Min Ba'di) Ad (7:65) (Äädin) and (Wa) accomodated you (Bawwa'a-kum') in (Fii) the land (El'Ar'di), taking (Tattakhizuuna) palaces (Qusuuran) from (Min) its plains (Suhuuli-haa), and (Wa) carving (Tan'hituuna) houses (Buyuutan) from the mountains (El'Jibaala). So (Fa) remember (Ez'kuruu') the favours (Aalaa'a) of GOD (Ellahi) and do not (Walaa) behave wickedly (Ta'thaw') on earth (Fiil' Ar'di) as corrupters (Muf'sidiin)."

7:75  A crowd (El'Malaau) of those who (Ellaziina) were arrogant (Es'tak'baru') among (Min) his people (Qaw'mi-hi) said (Qaala) to those who (Lillaziina) were oppressed (Es'tud'efu') and to those who (Liman') believed (Aamana) among them (Min'hum'), "Do you know (Ata'lamuuna) that (Anna) Shelah (Soalihan) was sent (Mur'salun) by (Min) his LORD (Rabbi-hi)?" They (the believers) said (Qaaluu'), "Indeed, we (Innaa) are believers (Mu'minuun) in what (Bimaa) he was sent with (Ur'sila Bi-hi)."

7:76  Those who (Ellaziina) were arrogant (Es'tak'baruu') said (Qaala), "Indeed, we (Innaa) are disbelievers (Kaafiruun) in what (Billazii) you believe (Aamantum Bi-hi)."

7:77  So (Fa) they butchered (Äqaru') the she-camel (En'Naaqata) and (Wa) were insolent (Ätaw') towards (Än') the command (Am'ri) of their LORD (Rabbi-him') and (Wa) said (Qaalu'), "O (Yaa) Shelah (Soalihu), bring us (E'ti-naa Bi) what (Maa) you promised us (Taedu-naa), if (In) you should be (Kunta) of (Mina) the messengers (El'Mur'saliin)."

7:78  So (Fa) the tremor (Er'Raj'fatu) seized them (Akhazat'humu), and (Fa) they started (As'bahu') squatting (Jaathimiin) in (Fii) their homes (Daari-him').

7:79  So (Fa) he (Shelah) turned away (Tawallaa) from them (Än'hum') and (Wa) said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) my people (Qaw'mi), I have certainly (Laqad') notified you (Ab'lag'tu-kum') the message (Risaalata) of my LORD (Rabbii) and advised you (Nasah'tu Lakum'), but (Walaakin) you do not (Laa) like (Tuhibbuuna) advisers (En'Naasihiin)."

7:80  Also (Wa) Lot (Luutoan) when (Iz') he said (Qaala) to (Li) his people (Qaw'mi-hi), "Do you approach (A'ta'tuuna) obscenity (El'Faahishata) to which (Bihaa) no (Maa Min) one (Ahadin) has preceded you (Sabaqa-kum) among (Mina) the worlds (El'Äälamiin)?

7:81  "Indeed, you (Innakum') are (La) approaching (Ta'tuuna) men (Er'Rijaala) with lust (Shah'watan) other than (Min Duuni) women (En'Nisaa'i)? In fact (Bal'), you (Antum') are a profligate (Mus'rifuun) people (Qaw'mun)."

7:82  But (Wa) the answer (Jawaaba) of his people (Qaw'mi-hi) was (Kaana) only (Maa illaa) to (An) say (Qaaluu'), "Expel them (Akh'rijuu-hum) from (Min) your town (Qar'yati-kum')! Indeed, they (Innahum') are a people (Unaasun) who purify themselves (Yatatohharuun)."

7:83  So (Fa) We rescued him (Anjai'naa-hu) and (Wa) his family (Ah'la-hu), except (illa) his wife (Em'ra'ata-hu); she was (Kaanat') among (Mina) those who passed away (El'Gaabiriin).

7:84  And (Wa) We showered (Am'tor'naa) rain (Matoran) upon them (Älai'him); so (Fa) observe (Enzur') how (Kai'fa) was (Kaana) the end (Ääqibatu) of the criminals (El'Muj'rimiin).

7:85  And (Wa) to (ilaa) Midian (Mad'yana), their brother (Akhaa-hum') Shuaib (Shuäi'ban). He said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) my people (Qaw'mi), worship GOD (E'budu'llaha); you have (Lakum) no (Maa Min') god (ilaahin) other than HIM (Gai'ruhu). A proof (Bayyinatun) has (Qad') come to you (Jaa'at'kum) from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-kum'). So (Fa) fulfil (Aw'fu') measure (El'Kai'la) and balance (Wal' Miizaana) and do not (Walaa) depreciate (Tab'khsu') the people (En'Naasa) of their things (Ash'yaa'a-hum') nor (Walaa) shall you corrupt (Tuf'sidu') on the land (Fiil' Ar'di) after (Ba'da) its reformation (Is'laahi-ha). That (Zaalikum') is better (Khai'run) for you (Lakum'), if (In) you should be (Kuntum) believers (Mu'miniin).

7:86  "And (Wa) do not (Laa) sit (Taq'udu') on (Bi) every (Kulli) path (Siraatin), threatening (Tuueduuna) and repelling (Tasudduuna) from (Än) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi) those who (Man') believe (Aamana) in HIM (Bihi), while (Wa) seeking to make it (Tab'guunaha) crooked (Ewajan). And (Wa) remember (Ez'kuruu') when (Iz') you were (Kuntum') few (Qaliilan) and (Fa) HE made you many (Katthara-kum'); so (Wa) observe (Enzuru') how (Kai'fa) was (Kaana) the end (Ääqibatu) of the corrupters (El'Muf'sidiin).

7:87  "And (Wa) if (In) there is (Kaana) a faction (Toa'ifatun) of you (Minkum') who believe (Aamanu') in what (Billazii) I (Shuaib) was sent with (Ur'sil'tu Bihi), and (Wa) another faction (Toa'ifatun) which does not (Lam') believe (Yu'minu'), then (Fa) be patient (Es'biru') until (Hattaa) GOD judges (Yah'kuma-llahu) between us (Bai'nanaa). For (Wa) HE (Huwa) is the best (Khai'ru) of judges (El'Haakimiin)."

7:88  A crowd (El'Malau) of those who (Ellaziina) were arrogant (Es'tak'baru) among (Min) his people (Qaw'mi-hi) said (Qaala), "We will (La) expel you (Nukh'rijannaka), O (Yaa) Shuaib (Shuäi'bu), and (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) have believed (Aamanu') with you (Maäka) from (Min) our town (Qar'yati-naa), unless (Aw') you return (La Tauudunna) into (Fii) our creed (Millati-naa)." He (Shuaib) said (Qaala), "Even if (Awalaw') we were (Kunnaa) unwilling (Kaarihiin)?"

7:89  "We would have (Qadi) fabricated (-Ef'tarai'naa) falsehood (Kaziban) about GOD (Älaallahi) if (In') we should return (Ud'naa) into (Fii) your creed (Millati-kum) after (Ba'da) when (Iz') GOD (Ellahu) had rescued us (Najjaa-naa) from it (Min'ha). And (Wa) it is (Yakuunu) not (Maa) for us (Lanaa) to (An) return (Na'uuda) into it (Fiihaa) unless (illaa An) our LORD (Rabbu-naa), GOD wills (Yashaa'a-llahu). Our LORD (Rabbu-naa) has encompassed (Wasiä) all (Kulla) things (Shai'in) in knowledge (il'man); we have relied (Tawakkal'naa) on GOD (Älaallahi). 'Our LORD (Rabba-naa), unwrap (Ef'tah') the truth (Bil' Haqqi) between us and (Bai'na-naa Wa Bai'na-) our people (Qaw'mi-naa), for (Wa) YOU (Anta) are the best (Khai'ru) of those who disclose (El'Faatihiin)."

7:90  And (Wa) a crowd (El'Malau) of those who (Ellaziina) disbelieved (Kafaru') among (Min) his people (Qaw'mi-hi) said (Qaala), "If (La'in) you follow (Ettaba'tum') Shuaib (Shuäi'ban); indeed, you (Innakum') in that case (Izan) would be (La) losers (Khaasiruun)."

7:91  So (Fa) the tremor (Er'Raj'fatu) seized them (Akhazat'humu), and (Fa) they started (As'bahu') squatting (Jaathimiin) in (Fii) their homes (Daari-him').

7:92  Those who (Ellaziina) denied (Kazzabu') Shuaib (Shuäi'ban), were as if (Ka'an) they had not (Lam') prospered (Yag'naw') therein (Fiihaa). Those who (Ellaziina) denied (Kazzabu') Shuaib (Shuäi'ban); they (Humu) were (Kaanu') the losers (El'Khaasiriin).

7:93  So (Fa) he (Shuaib) turned away (Tawallaa) from them (Än'hum') and (Wa) said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) my people (Qaw'mi), I have certainly (Laqad') notified you (Ab'lag'tu-kum') the messages (Risaalaati) of my LORD (Rabbii) and (Wa) advised you (Nasah'tu Lakum'), so (Fa) how (Kai'fa) could I grieve (Aasaa) over (Älaa) a disbelieving (Kaafiriin) people (Qaw'min)."

7:94  And (Wa) We did not (Maa) send (Ar'sal'naa) any (Min) prophet (Nabiyyin) into (Fii) a town (Qar'yatin) except (illaa) We seized (Akhaz'naa) its people (Ah'la-ha) with misery (Bil' Ba'saa'i) and (Wa) adversity (Ed'Dorraa'i) so that they (Laällahum') might implore (Yadorra'uun).

7:95  Then (Thumma) We substituted (Baddal'naa) the good (El'Hasanata) in place of (Makaana) the bad (Es'Sayyi'ati) until (Hattaa) they were excused (Äfaw'), and (Wa) they said (Qaalu'), "Our fathers (Aabaa'a-naa) were certainly (Qad') touched (Massa) with adversity (Ed'Dorraa'u) and (Wa) prosperity (Es'Sarraa'u)." So (Fa) We seized them (Akhaz'naa-hum) suprisingly (Bag'tatan) while (Wa) they (Hum') did not (Laa) perceive (Yash'uruun).

7:96  And (Wa) if only (Law' Anna) the people (Ah'la) of the towns (El'Quraa) had believed (Aamanu') and became pious (Ettaqaw'), We would have (La) opened (Fatah'naa) for them (Älai'him) blessings (Barakaatin) from (Mina) the heavens (Es'Samaa'i) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di); but (Walaakin) they denied (Kazzabu'), so (Fa) We seized them (Akhaz'naa-hum) for what (Bimaa) they were (Kaanu') earning (Yak'sibuun).

7:97  So were (Afa-) the people (Ah'lu) of the towns (El'Quraa) secured (-Amina) from (An) Our torment (Ba'su-naa) coming to them (Ya'tiya-hum) in retirement (Bayaatan) while (Wa) they (Hum') were asleep (Naa'imuun)?

7:98  Or were (Awa-) the people (Ah'lu) of the towns (El'Quraa) secured (-Amina) from (An) Our torment (Ba'su-naa) coming to them (Ya'tiya-hum) at forenoon (Duhan) while (Wa) they (Hum') were playing (Yal'äbuun)?

7:99  Were they then (Afa-) secured (-aminu') from the scheme of GOD (Mak'ra-llahi)? But (Fa) none (Laa) secures (Ya'manu) from the scheme of GOD (Mak'ra-llahi) except (illa) the people (El'Qaw'mu) who are losers (El'Khaasiruun).

7:100  Or (Awa) has it not (Lam') pointed out (Yah'di) to those who (Lillaziina) inherited (Yarithuuna) the earth (El'Ar'do) after (Min Ba'di) its people (Ah'li-haa) that (An) if (Law') We willed (Nashaa'u), We could afflict them (Asob'naa-hum) for (Bi) their sins (Zunuubi-him')? But (Wa) We seal (Nat'bau Älaa) their hearts (Quluubi-him'), so (Fa) they (Hum') do not (Laa) listen (Yas'ma'uun).

7:101  Those (Til'ka) are towns (El'Quraa) which We narrate (Naqussu) to you (s) (Älai'ka) some of (Min') their news (Anbaai-haa). And (Wa) certainly (Laqad') their messengers (Rusulu-hum) came to them (Jaa'at'hum') with proofs (Bil' Bayyinaati), but (Fa) they were (Kaanu') not (Maa) to (Li) believe (Yu'minu') in what (Bimaa) they had denied (Kazzabu') before (Min Qab'lu). Thus (Kazaalika) does GOD (Ellahu) seal (Yat'bau Älaa) the hearts (Quluubi) of the disbelievers (El'Kaafiriin).

7:102  And (Wa) We did not (Maa) find (Wajad'naa) for (Li) most of them (Ak'thari-him) any (Min') agreement (Äh'din); but (Wa) indeed (In), We found (Wajad'naa) most of them (Ak'thara-hum') to be (La) immoral (Faasiqiin).

7:103  Then (Thumma) We sent (Baäth'naa) after them (Min Ba'di-him) Moses (Muusaa) with (Bi) Our signs (Aayaati-naa) to (ilaa) Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) and (Wa) his assembly (Malai'hi), but (Fa) they transgressed (Zolamu') toward them (Bihaa); so (Fa) observe (Enzur') how (Kai'fa) was (Kaana) the end (Ääqibatu) of the corrupters (El'Muf'sidiin).

7:104  And (Wa) Moses (Muusaa) said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) Pharaoh (Fir'äw'nu), I am (Innii) a messenger (Rasuulun) of (Min) the LORD (Rabbi) of the worlds (El'Äälamiin),

7:105  entitled (Haqiiqun) to (Älaa An) not (Laa) say (Aquula) about GOD (Älaallahi) except (illa) the truth (El'Haqqa). I have (Qad') come to you (p) (Ji'tu-kum) with (Bi) proof (Bayyinatin) from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-kum'); so (Fa) send (Ar'sil') the Children of Israel (Banii Is'raa'iil) along with me (Maeya)."

7:106  He (Pharaoh) said (Qaala), "If (In) you have (Kunta) brought (Ji'ta Bi) a sign (miracle) (Aayatin), then produce it (Fa'ti Bi-haa), if (In) you should be (Kunta) of (Mina) the truthful (Es'Soadiqiin)."

7:107  So (Fa) he (Moses) threw (Al'qaa) his staff (Äsoa-hu), and (Fa) then (Izaa) it became (Hiya) a plain (Mubiin) snake (Thu'baanun). (20:20)

7:108  And (Wa) he removed (Nazaä) his hand (Yada-hu), and (Fa) then (Izaa) it became (Hiya) white (Bai'doau) for the observers (Lin' Naaziriin).

7:109  A crowd (El'Malau) among (Min) the people (Qaw'mi) of Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) said (Qaala), "Indeed (Inna), this (Haaza) is (La) a learned (erudite) (Äliim) sorcerer (Saahirun)

7:110  who intends (Yuriidu) to (An) expel you (Yukh'rija-kum) from (Min') your land (Ar'di-kum'), so (Fa) what (Maaza) do you suggest (Ta'muruun)?"

7:111  They (the crowd) said (Qaalu'), "Delay him (Ar'jih') and (Wa) his brother (Akhaa-hu), and (Wa) send (Ar'sil') gatherers (Haashiriin) into (Fii) the cities (El'Madaa'ini),

7:112  to bring you (Ya'tuu-ka Bi) every (Kulli) erudite (Äliim) sorcerer (Saahirin),"

7:113  and (Wa) the sorcerers (Es'Saharatu) came (Jaa'a) to Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na), saying (Qaaluu'), "Indeed (Inna), we will have (Lanaa) a (La) reward (Aj'ran) if (In) we (Nah'nu) are (Kunnaa) the winners (El'Gaalibiin)."

7:114  He (Pharaoh) said (Qaala), "Yes (Naäm'), and (Wa) indeed, you (Innakum') will be of (Lamina) those nearby (El'Muqarrabiin)."

7:115  They (the sorcerers) said (Qaalu'), "O (Yaa) Moses (Muusaa), either (Immaa An) you throw (Tul'qiya), or (Wa Immaa An) we (Nah'nu) will be (Nakuuna) the ones to throw (El'Mul'qiin)."

7:116  He (Moses) said (Qaala), "Throw (Al'qu')," and (Fa) when (Lammaa) they threw (Al'qaw'), they enchanted (Saharuu') the eyes (A'yuna) of the people (En'Naasi) and (Wa) terrified them (Es'tar'habuu-hum') and (Wa) came up (Jaa'u) with (Bi) a great (Äziim) sorcery (Sih'rin).

7:117  And (Wa) We inspired (Aw'hai'naa) to (ilaa) Moses (Muusaa) that (An'), "Throw (Al'qi) your staff (Äsoa-ka)," and (Fa) then (Izaa) it (Hiya) seized (Tal'qafu) what (Maa) they fudged (Ya'fikuun).

7:118  So (Fa) the truth (El'Haqqu) took place (Waqaä), and (Wa) what (Maa) they were (Kaanu') doing (Ya'maluun) was abolished (Batola).

7:119  So (Fa) they were defeated (Gulibu') there (Hunaalika), and (Wa) they became (Enqalabu') subservient (Soagiriin).

7:120  And (Wa) the sorcerers (Es'Saharatu) dropped down (Ul'qiya) in prostration (Saajidiin).

7:121  They said (Qaaluu'), "We believe (Aamannaa) in (Bi) the LORD (Rabbi) of the worlds (El'Äälamiin),

7:122  the LORD (Rabbi) of Moses (Muusaa) and (Wa) Aaron (Haaruun)."

7:123  Pharaoh (Fir'äw'nu) said (Qaala), "Did you believe (Aamantum) in HIM (Bihi) before (Qab'la An') I permitted you (Aazana Lakum')? Indeed (Inna), this (Haaza) is (La) a scheme (Mak'run) which you have schemed (Makar'tumuu-hu) in (Fii) the city (El'Madiinati) in order to (Li) expel (Tukh'riju') its people (Ah'la-haa) therefrom (Min'haa). So (Fa) you will (Saw'fa) find out (Ta'lamuun).

7:124  "I will (La) amputate (sever) (Uqatti'änna) your hands (Ai'diya-kum') and (Wa) your legs (Ar'jula-kum) from (Min') opposite sides (Khilaafin), then (Thumma) I will (La) crucify you (Usollibannakum') all (Aj'maeen)."

7:125  They (the sorcerers) said (Qaaluu'), "Indeed, we (Innaa) will return (Munqalibuun) to (ilaa) our LORD (Rabbi-naa).

7:126  "And (Wa) you only (Maa illa) take revenge on us (-Tanqimu Minnaa) because (An') we have believed (Aamannaa) in (Bi) the signs (miracles) (Aayaati) of our LORD (Rabbi-naa) when (Lammaa) they came to us (Jaa'at'naa)." "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), pour forth (Af'rig') patience (Sob'ran) upon us (Älai'naa) and (Wa) cause us to die (Tawaffa-naa) as submitters (Mus'limiin)."

7:127  And (Wa) a crowd (El'Malau) among (Min) the people (Qaw'mi) of Pharaoh (Fir'äaw'na) said (Qaala), "Will you leave (A-tazaru) Moses (Muusaa) and (Wa) his people (Qaw'mi-hu) to (Li) corrupt (Yuf'sidu') in the land (Fiil' Ar'di) while (Wa) leaving you (Yazara-ka) and (Wa) your gods (Aalihata-ka)?" He (Pharaoh) said (Qaala), "We will kill (Sa Nuqattilu) their sons (Ab'naa'a-hum') and (Wa) keep their women (Nisaa'a-hum') alive (-Nas'tah'yi); and (Wa) indeed, we (Innaa) will overpower (Qaahiruun) on them (Faw'qahum')."

7:128  Moses (Muusaa) said (Qaala) to (Li) his people (Qaw'mi-hi), "Seek help (Es'taeenu') through GOD (Billahi) and (Wa) be patient (Es'biruu'). Indeed (Inna), the earth (El'Ar'do) belongs to GOD (Lillahi); HE transmits it (Yuurithu-haa) to whomever (Man) HE wills (Yashaau) among (Min') HIS servants (Ebaadi-hi). And (Wa) the end (El'Ääqibatu) is for the pious (Lil' Muttaqiin)."

7:129  They (the people) said (Qaaluu'), "We have been harrassed (Uuzii-naa) before (Min Qab'li An) you came to us (Ta'tiya-naa) and (Wa) after (Min Ba'di) what (Maa) had come to us (Ji'ta-naa)." He (Moses) said (Qaala), "Perhaps (Äsaa) your LORD (Rabbu-kum') will (An) annihilate (Yuh'lika) your enemy (Äduwwa-kum') and (Wa) grant you succession (Yas'takh'lifa-kum') in (Fii) the land (El'Ar'di), then (Fa) HE will see (Yanzura) how (Kai'fa) you will act (Ta'maluun)."

7:130  And (Wa) certainly (Laqad') We seized (Akhaz'naa) the people (Aala) of Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) through (Bi) the years (Es'Siniina) with (Wa) shortage (Naq'sin) of (Mina) fruits (Etthamaraati) so that they (Laällahum') would remember (Yazzakkaruun).

7:131  And (Fa) when (Izaa) good (El'Hasanatu) came to them (Jaa'at-humu), they said (Qaalu'), "This (Haazihi) is for us (Lanaa)," but (Wa) when (In) evil (Sayyiatun) afflicted them (Tusib'hum'), they saw an evil omen in (Yattoyyaru' Bi) Moses (Muusaa) and (Wa) those (Man) with him (Maähu). Verily (Alaa), their omen (Toa'iru-hum') was only (Innamaa) by GOD (Endallahi), but (Walaakinna) most of them (Ak'thara-hum') did not (Laa) know (Ya'lamuun).

7:132  And (Wa) they said (Qaalu'), "No matter what (Mah'maa Min') sign (miracle) (Aayatin) you bring us (Ta'ti-naa Bi-hi) in order to (Li) bewitch us (Tas'hara-naa) thereby (Biha), thus (Fa) we will never (Maa Bi) be believers (Mu'miniin) in you (Moses) (Laka)."

7:133  So (Fa) We sent (Ar'sal'naa) against them (Älai'himu) flood 1 (Ettuufaana), locusts 2 (El'Jaraada), lice 3 (El'Qummala), frogs 4 (Ed'Dofaadiä), and (Wa) blood 5 (Ed'Dama) as hinge (Mufassolaatin) of signs (Aayaatin); but (Fa) they were arrogant (Es'tak'baru') and (Wa) were (Kaanu') a guilty (Muj'rimiin) people (Qaw'man).

7:134  And (Wa) when (Lammaa) the punishment (filth) (Er'Rij'zu) came upon them (Waqaä Älai'himu), they said (Qaalu'), "O (Yaa) Moses (Muusa), invoke (Ed'u) your LORD (Rabba-ka) for us (Lanaa) by what (Bimaa) HE has entrusted (Ähida) to you (Endaka). If (Lain) you remove (Kashaf'ta) the punishment (Er'Rij'za) from us (Ännaa), we will (La) believe you (Nu'minanna Laka), and (Wa) we will (La) send (Nur'silanna) the Children of Israel (Banii Is'raa'iil) along with you (Maäka)."

7:135  But (Fa) when (Lammaa) We removed (Kashaf'naa) the punishment (filth) (Er' Rij'za) from them (Än'humu) for (ilaa) a term (Ajalin) which (-hu) they (Hum) were to reach (Baaliguu-), then (Izaa) they (Hum') violated (Yankuthuun).

7:136  So (Fa) We took vengeance on them (Entaqam'naa Min'hum'), and (Fa) We drowned them (Ag'raq'naa-hum') in (Fii) the sea (El'Yammi) because they (Bi'anna-hum') denied (Kazzabu' Bi) Our signs (Aayaati-naa) and (Wa) were (Kaanu') heedless (Gaafiliin) of them (Än'haa).

7:137  And (Wa) We transmitted (Aw'rath'naa) to the people (El'Qaw'ma) who (Ellaziina) were (Kaanu') oppressed (Yus'tad'äfuuna), the eastern (Mashaariqa) of the land (El'Ar'di) and (Wa) its western (Magaariba-haa), which (Ellatii) We had blessed (Baarak'naa) therein (Fiihaa). And (Wa) the good (El'Hus'naa) word (Kalimatu) of your LORD (Rabbi-ka) was fulfilled (Tammat') to (Älaa) the Children of Israel (Banii Is'raa'iila) for what (Bimaa) they had endured (Sobaru'). And (Wa) We destroyed (Dammar'naa) what (Maa) Pharaoh (Fir'äaw'nu) and (Wa) his people (Qaw'mu-hu) were (Kaana) manufacturing (Yas'nau) and what (Wamaa) they were (Kaanu') erecting of trellis (Ya'rishuun).

7:138  And (Wa) We made the Children of Israel (Banii Is'raa'iila) pass (-Jaawaz'naa) through (Bi) the sea (El'Bah'ra), and (Fa) they came across (Ataw' Älaa) a people (Qaw'min) who were devoted (Ya'kufuuna) to (Älaa) idols (As'naamin) of theirs (Lahum'). They (the Children of Israel) said (Qaalu'), "O (Yaa) Moses (Muusa), make (Ej'äl) a god (ilaahan) for us (Lanaa) just as (Kamaa) they have (Lahum') gods (Aalihatun)." He (Moses) said (Qaala), "Indeed, you (Innakum') are an ignorant (Taj'haluun) people (Qaw'mun).

7:139  "Indeed (Inna), these people (Haaulaai) will abjure (Mutabbarun) what (Maa) they (Hum') are into (Fiihi), and (Wa) what (Maa) they have been (Kaanu') doing (Ya'maluun) is in vain (Baatilun)."

7:140  He (Moses) said (Qaala), "Is it other than GOD (A-gai'ra-llahi) I should desire for you (Ab'gii-kum) as a god (ilaahan) while (Wa) HE (Huwa) has favoured you (Faddola-kum') over (Älaa) all people (El'Äälamiin)?

7:141  And (Wa) when (Iz') We rescued you (Anjai'naa-kum) from (Min') the people (Aali) of Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na), inflicting on you (Yasuumuunakum') evil (Suua) punishment (El'Äzaabi); killing (Yuqattiluuna) your sons (Ab'naa'a-kum') and (Wa) keeping your women (Nisaa'a-kum') alive (-Yas'tah'yuuna). And (Wa) there was a terrible (Äziimu) tribulation (Balaaun) in (Fii) that (Zaalikum) from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-kum'). (2:49)

7:142  And (Wa) We made an appointment with (Waa'äd'naa) Moses (Muusaa) for thirty (Thalaathiina) nights (Nights) and (Wa) completed them (At'mam'naa-ha) with (Bi) ten (Äsh'rin); so (Fa) the appointed time (Miiqaatu) of his LORD (Rabbi-hi) was completed (Tamma) as forty (Ar'baeena) nights (Lai'latan). And (Wa) Moses (Muusaa) said (Qaala) to (Li) his brother (Akhii-hi) Aaron (Haaruuna), "Succeed me (Ekh'luf'nii) among (Fii) my people (Qaw'mii), and (Wa) be upright (As'lih'), and do not (Walaa) follow (Tattabi') the way (Sabiila) of the corrupters (El'Muf'sidiin).”

7:143  And (Wa) when (Lammaa) Moses (Muusaa) arrived at (Jaa'a Li) Our appointed time (Miiqaati-naa), and (Wa) his LORD (Rabbu-hu) spoke to him (Kallama-hu), he (Moses) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), let me (Arinii) look at YOU (Anzur' ilai'ka)." HE (God) said (Qaala), "You can never (Lan) see ME (Taraanii), but (Walaakini) look at (Enzur' ilaa) the mountain (El'Jabali); for (Fa) if (Ini) it should stabilize (Es'taqarra) in its place (Makaana-hu), then (Fa) you will (Saw'fa) see ME (Taraanii)." And (Fa) when (Lammaa) his LORD (Rabbu-hu) manifested (Tajallaa) to the mountain (Lil' Jabali), HE rendered it (Jaäla-hu) a level ground (Dakkan), and (Wa) Moses (Muusaa) fell down (Kharra) stunned (knocked out) (Soeqan). And (Fa) when (Lammaa) he woke up (Afaaqa), he said (Qaala), "Glory be to YOU (Sub'haana-ka)! I have repented (Tub'tu) to YOU (ilai'ka), for (Wa) I am (Ana') the first (Awwalu) of believers (El'Mu'miniin)."

7:144  HE (God) said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) Moses (Muusaa), indeed I (Innii) have chosen you (s) (Es'tofai'tu-ka) over (Älaa) the people (En'Naasi) with (Bi) MY messages (Risaalaatii) and (Wa) with (Bi) MY speech (Kalaamii). So (Fa) take (Khuz') what (Maa) I have given you (Aatai'tu-ka) and (Wa) be (Kun) among (Mina) the grateful (Es'Shaakiriin)."

7:145  And (Wa) We wrote (Katab'naa) for him (Lahu) on (Fii) the tablets (El'Al'waahi) of (Min) all (Kulli) things (Shai'in); as preachment (Maw'ezotan) and (Wa) elaboration (6:154) (Taf'siilan) for (Li) all (Kulli) things (Shai'in), "So (Fa) take them (Kkuz'haa) with (Bi) strength (Quwwatin) and command (Wa'mur') your people (Qaw'ma-ka) to take (Ya'khuzu' Bi) the best of it (Ah'sani-haa). I (God) will show you (Sa U'rii-kum') the Home (Daara) of the immoral (El'Faasiqiin).

7:146  "I (God) will divert (Sa As'rifu) from (Än') MY verses (Aayaatiya) those who (Ellaziina) are arrogant (Yatakabbaruuna) on earth (Fiil' Ar'di) without (Bi-Gairi) right (El'Haqqi); and (Wa) if (In) they should see (Yaraw') every (Kulla) verse (Aayatin), they will not (Laa) believe (Yu'minu') in it (Bihaa). And (Wa) if (In) they see (Yaraw') the way (Sabiila) of right guidance (2:256) (Er'Rush'di), they will not (Laa) adopt it (Yattakhizuu-hu) as a way (Sabiilan); but (Wa) if (In) they see (Yaraw') the way (Sabiila) of error (2:256) (El'Gayyi), they will adopt it (Yattakhizuu-hu) as a way (Sabiilan). That (Zaalika) is because they (Bi'anna-hum') have denied (Kazzabu' Bi) Our verses (Aayaati-naa) and (Wa) were (Kaanu') heedless (Gaafiliin) of them (Än'haa)."

7:147  As for (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) have denied (Kazzabu' Bi) Our verses (Aayaati-naa) and (Wa) the meeting (Liqaai) of the hereafter (El'Aakhirati); their deeds (A'maalu-hum') have become worthless (Habitot'). Are (Hal') they requited (Yuj'zaw'na) if not (illa) for what (Maa) they have been (Kaanu') doing (Ya'maluun)?

7:148  And (Wa) the people (Qaw'mu) of Moses (Muusaa) took (Ettakhaza) after him (Min Ba'di-hi), the embodiment (Jasadan) of a calf (Ej'lan) from (Min') their jewellery (Huliyyi-him') which had (Lahu) a moo sound (Khuwaarun). Did they not (Alam') see (Yaraw') that it (Annahu) could neither (Laa) speak to them (Yukallimu-hum') nor (Walaa) guide them (Yah'dii-him') to a way (Sabiilan)? They took it (Ettakhazuu-hu) and (Wa) became (Kaanu') transgressors (Zoalimiin).

7:149  And (Wa) when (Lammaa) it slipped (Suqita) out of (Fii) their hands (Ai'dii-him') and they saw (Ra'aw') that they (Annahum') had (Qad') gone astray (Dollu'), they said (Qaalu'), "If (Lain) Our LORD (Rabbu-naa), does not (Lam') have mercy upon us (Yar'ham'naa) and (Wa) forgive us (Yag'fir' Lanaa), we will (La) be (Nakuunanna) among (Mina) the losers (El'Khaasiriin)."

7:150  And (Wa) when (Lammaa) Moses (Muusaa) returned (Rajaä) to (ilaa) his people (Qaw'mi-hi), angry (Gad'baana) and regretful (Asifan), he said (Qaala), "How bad (Bi'samaa) you have succeeded me (Khalaf'tumuu-nii) after (Min Ba'dii). Were you hastening (A'äjil'tum') the command (Am'ra) of your LORD (Rabbi-kum')?" And (Wa) he threw (Al'qaa) the tablets (7:145) (El'Al'waaha) and (Wa) seized (Akhaza) his brother (Akhii-hi) by (Bi) the head (Ra'si), pulling him (Yajurru-hu) toward him (ilai'hi). He (Aaron) said (Qaala), "Son (Eb'na) of my mother (Umma), indeed (Inna) the people (El'Qaw'ma) oppressed me (Es'tad'äfuu-nii) and (Wa) almost (Kaadu) killed me (Yaq'tuluunanii), so let not (Falaa) the enemies (El'A'daa'a) gloat over me (Tush'mit' Biya), and do not (Walaa) assign me (Taj'äl'nii) with (Maä) the transgressing (Ez'Zoalimiin) people (El'Qaw'mi)."

7:151  He (Moses) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), forgive me (Eg'fir' Lii) and (Wali) my brother (Akhii), and (Wa) admit us (Ad'khil'naa) into (Fii) YOUR mercy (Rah'mati-ka), for (Wa) YOU (Anta) are the Most Mercicful (Ar'hamu) of those who are merciful (Er'Raahimiin)."

7:152  Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) took (Ettakhazu') the calf (El'Ej'la) will attain (Sa Yanaalu-hum') wrath (Gadobun) from (Min) their LORD (Rabbi-him') and (Wa) humiliation (Zillatun) in (Fii) the worldly (Ed'Dun'ya) life (El'Hayaati). And (Wa) thus (Kazaalika) do We requite (Naj'zii) the fabricators (El'Muf'tariin).

7:153  As for (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) committed (Ämilu') bad deeds (Es'Sayyiaati) and then (Thumma) repented (Taabu') thereafter (Min Ba'di) and (Wa) believed (Aamanuu'); indeed (Inna), your LORD (Rabba-ka) after such (Min Ba'di-haa) is (La) Forgiving (Gafuurun) and Merciful (Rahiim).

7:154  And (Wa) when (Lammaa) the anger (El'Gadobu) was silent (Sakata) from (Än) Moses (Muusa), he took (Akhaza) the tablets (El'Al'waaha); and (Wa) in (Fii) their transcription (Nus'khati-haa) was guidance (Hudan) and mercy (Rah'matun) for those (Lillaziina) who (Hum') reverenced (Yar'habuun Li) their LORD (Rabbi-him').

7:155  And (Wa) Moses (Muusaa) selected (Ekh'taara) seventy (Sab'eena) men (Rajulan) from his people (Qaw'ma-hu) for (Li) Our appointed time (Miiqaati-naa). And (Fa) when (Lammaa) the tremor (Er'Raj'fatu) seized them (Akhazat'humu), he (Moses) said (Qaala), "LORD (Rabbi), if (Law') YOU had willed (Shi'ta), YOU could have annihilated them (Ah'lak'ta-hum) earlier (Min Qab'lu) together with (Wa) me (Iyyaaya). Would YOU annihilate us (Atuh'liku-naa) for what (Bimaa) the foolish (Es'Sufahaau) among us (Minnaa) have done (Faäla)? It is (Hiya) only (In' illa) YOUR trial (Fit'natu-ka) by which (Bihaa) YOU send whomever (Man) YOU will (Tashaau) astray (-Tudillu) and (Wa) guide (Tah'dii) whomever (Man) YOU will (Tashaau). YOU (Anta) are our guardian (Waliyyu-naa), so (Fa) forgive us (Eg'fir' Lanaa) and (Wa) have mercy upon us (Ar'ham'naa); for (Wa) YOU (Anta) are the best (Khai'ru) of forgivers (El'Gaafiriin).

7:156  "And (Wa) decree for us (Ek'tub' Lanaa) what is good (Hasanatan) in (Fii) this (Haazihi) world (Ed'Dun'ya) and (Wa) in (Fii) the hereafter (El'Aakhirati); indeed (Innaa), we are guided (Hud'naa) to YOU (ilai'ka)." HE (God) said (Qaala), "MY punishment (Äzaabii) will strike (Usiibu) whomever (Man') I will (Ashaau) thereby (Bihi), but (Wa) MY mercy (Rah'matii) encompasses (Wasiät') all (Kulla) things (Shai'in). So (Fa) I will decree it (Sa Ak'tubu-ha) for those who (Lillaziina) are pious (Yattaquuna) and (Wa) give (Yu'tuuna) the Charity (Ez'Zakaata), and (Wa) they (Hum) are those who (Ellaziina) believe (Yu'minuun) in (Bi) Our verses (Aayaati-naa),

7:157  who (Ellaziina) follow (Yattabiuuna) the Messenger (Er'Rasuula); the unlearned (unlettered) (El'Ummiyya) Prophet (En'Nabiyya) whom (Ellazii) they found (Yajiduuna-hu) written (Mak'tuuban) with them (Endahum') in (Fii) the Torah (Ettaw'raati) and the Gospel (Wal' Injiili); he commands them (Ya'muru-hum) to kindness (Bil' Ma'ruufi) and forbid them (Yan'haa-hum') from (Äni) abomination (El'Munkari), and (Wa) makes lawful for them (-Yuhillu Lahumu) the good things (Ettoyyibaati) and prohibits (Yuharrimu) for them (Älai'him') the bad things (impurities) (El'Khabaa'itha) and takes off (Yadou) their burden (Is'ra-hum') from them (Än'hum') as well as (Wa) the shackles (El'Ag'laala) which (Ellatii) were (Kaanat') upon them (Älai'him'). Therefore (Fa) those who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu') in him (Bihi), honour him (Äzzaruu-hu), support him (Nasoruu-hu) and (Wa) follow (Ettabau') the light (42:52) (En'Nuura) which (Ellazii) was revealed (Unzila) along with him (Maähu). They (Humu) are those (U'laaika) who will be the successful (El'Muf'lihuun)." (5:15)

7:158  Say (Qul'): "O you (Yaa Ayyuha) mankind (En'Naasu), I am (Innii) a messenger of GOD (Rasuulu-llahi) to you (ilai'kum) all (Jamiiän), the One (Ellazii) to whom belongs (Lahu) the dominion (Mul'ku) of the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di). There is no god (Laa ilaaha) except (illa) HIM (Huwa); HE gives life (Yuh'yii) and (Wa) causes death (Yumiitu)." So (Fa) believe (Aaminu') in GOD (Billahi) and HIS messenger (Rasuuli-hi), the unlearned (unlettered) (El'Ummiyyi) Prophet (En'Nabiyyi) who (Ellazii) believes (Yu'minu) in GOD (Billahi) and HIS words (Kalimaati-hi), and (Wa) follow him (Ettabiuu-hu) perhaps you (Laällakum') will be guided (Tah'taduun).

7:159  And (Wa) among (Min) the people (Qaw'mi) of Moses (Muusaa) is a nation (Ummatun) guiding (Yah'duuna) to the truth (Bil' Haqqi) and (Wa) by it (Bihi) they do justice (Ya'diluun).

7:160  And (Wa) We divided them (Qatto'naa-humu) into twelve (Eth'nata' Äsh'rata) tribal (As'baatoan) nations (Umaman). And (Wa) We inspired (Aw'hai'naa) to (ilaa) Moses (Muusaa) when (Izi) his people (Qaw'mu-hu) asked him for water (Es'tas'qaa-hu) that (Ani), "Strike (Ed'rib) the stone (El'Hajara) with (Bi) your staff (Äsoa-ka)," then (Fa) twelve (Eth'nataa Äsh'rata) springs (Äi'nan) poured (Enbajasat') from it (Min'hu). Every (Kullu) people (Unaasin) already (Qad') knew (Älima) their drinking place (Mash'raba-hum'). And (Wa) We shaded them (Zollal'naa Älai'himu) with clouds (El'Gamaama) and (Wa) sent down (Anzal'naa) to them (Älai'himu) manna (El'Manna) and (Wa) quails (Es'Sal'waa), "Eat (Kulu') from (Min) the good things (Toyyibaati) which (Maa) We have provided for you (Razaq'naa-kum')." And (Wa) they did not (Maa) wrong Us (Zolamuu-naa), but (Walaakin) they were (Kaanuu') wronging (Yaz'limuun) themselves (Anfusa-hum').

7:161  And (Wa) then (Iz') they were told (Qiila La-humu), "Dwell in (Es'kunu') this (Haazihi) town (El'Qar'yata) and (Wa) eat (Kulu') therefrom (Min'haa) wherever (Hai'thu) you want (Shi'tum') and say (Quulu'), 'Humbleness (Hittotun),' and (Wa) enter (Ed'khulu') the gate (El'Baaba) in obeisance (Sujjadan); We will forgive you (Nag'fir' La-kum') your faults (Khatii'aati-kum'). We will augment (Sa Naziidu) those who are benevolent (El'Muh'siniiin)." (2:58)

7:162  But (Fa) those who (Ellaziina) were unjust (Zolamu') among them (Min'hum') changed to (Baddala) a word (Qaw'lan) other than (Gai'ra) what (Ellazii) they were told (Qiila La-hum'). So (Fa) We sent (Ar'sal'naa) a punishment (filth) (Rij'zan) from (Mina) the sky (Es'Samaai) upon them (Älai'him') because (Bimaa) they were (Kaanu) transgressing (Yuz'limuun). (2:59)

7:163  And ask them (Was'al'hum) about (Äni) the town (El'Qar'yati) which (Ellatii) was (Kaanat') existing (Haadirata) by the sea (El'Bah'ri), when (Iz') they trespassed (Ya'duuna) on (Fii) the Sabbath (4:47) (Es'Sab'ti); when (Iz') their fishes (Hiitaanu-hum') came to them (Ta'tii-him') on the day (Yaw'ma) of their sabbath (Sab'ti-him) as legislated (Shurra'ään), and (Wa) the day (Yaw'ma) there was no (Laa) sabbath (Yas'bituun), they (the fishes) did not (Laa) come to them (Ta'tii-him). Thus (Kazaalika) did We test them (Nab'luu-hum) because (Bima) they were (Kaanu') acting immoral (Yaf'suquun).

7:164  And (Wa) when (Iz') a nation (a group of people) (Ummatun) among them (Min'hum') said (Qaalat'), "Why (Lima) do you admonish (Taezuuna) a people (Qaw'man) whom (-hum') GOD (Ellahu) will annihilate (Muh'liku-) or (Aw') punish them (Muäzzibu-hum') with a severe (Shadiidan) punishment (Äzaaban)?" They said (Qaalu'), "To be pardoned by (Ma'ziratan ilaa) your LORD (Rabbi-kum') and (Wa) perhaps they (Laällahum') will become pious (Yattaquun)."

7:165  And (Fa) when (Lammaa) they forgot (Nasu') what (Maa) they were reminded (Zukkiru' Bihi), We rescued (Anjai'naa) those who (Ellaziina) abstained (Yan'haw'na) from (Äni) evil (Es'Suui) and (Wa) seized (Akhza'naa) those who (Ellaziina) transgressed (Zolamu'), with (Bi) a wretched (Baiisi) punishment (Äzaabi) because (Bimaa) they were (Kaanu') acting immoral (Yaf'suquun).

7:166  And (Fa) when (Lammaa) they were insolent (Ätaw') towards (Än) that (Maa) which (-hu) they were forbidden (Nuhu' Än-), We said (Qul'naa) to them (Lahum'), "Be (Kuunu') despicable (Khaasi'iin) apes (copycats) (Qiradatan)."

7:167  And (Wa) when (Iz') your LORD (Rabbu-ka) announced (Ta'azzana) that (La) HE would send (Yab'äthanna) against them (Älai'him') till (ilaa) the Day of Resurrection (Yaw'mil' Qiyaamati) those who (Man) would inflict on them (Yasuumu-hum') an evil (Suua) punishment (El'Äzaabi). Indeed (Inna), your LORD (Rabba-ka) is (La) swift (Sariiu) in penalty (El'Eqaabi); and (Wa) indeed, HE (Innahu) is (La) Forgiving (Gafuurun) and Merciful (Rahiim).

7:168  And (Wa) We divided them (Qatta'naa-hum') on earth (Fiil' Ar'di) as nations (Umaman). Some of them (Min'humu) were righteous (Es'Soalihuuna), and (Wa) some of them (Min'hum') were other than that (Duuna Zaalika). And (Wa) We tested them (Balaw'naa-hum) with (Bi) goodness (El'Hasanaati) and (Wa) badness (Es'Sayyiaati) so that they (Laällahum') would revert (Yar'jiuun).

7:169  Then (Fa) HE succeeded (Khalafa) after them (Min Ba'di-him') successors (Khal'fun) who inherited (Warithuu) the Book (El'Kitaaba), taking (Ya'khuzuuna) the exhibition (Ärado) of this (Haaza) lower life (El'Adnaa) and (Wa) saying (Yaquuluuna), "We will be forgiven (Sa Yug'faru La-naa)." But (Wa) when (In) an exhibition (Äradun) like it (Mith'lu-hu) comes to them (Ya'ti-him'), they take it (Ya'khuzuu-hu). Was (A-) the covenant (Miithaaqu) of the Book (El'Kitaabi) not (-lam') taken (Yu'khaz') from them (Älai'him) that (An) they would not (Laa) say (Yaquulu') about GOD (Älaallahi) except (illa) the truth (El'Haqqa) and (Wa) study (Darasu') what (Maa) is therein (Fiihi)? And (Wa) the Home (Ed'Daaru) of the hereafter (El'Aakhiraatu) is better (Khai'run) for those who (Lillaziina) are pious (Yattaquuna). Will you then not (Afalaa) reason (Ta'qiluun)?

7:170  As for (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) adhere to (Yumassikuuna Bi) the Book (El'Kitaabi) and (Wa) establish (Aqaamu') the Litany (Es'Solaata); indeed (Inna), We will not (Laa) waste (Nudiiu) the reward (Aj'ra) of the reformers (El'Mus'lihiin).

7:171  And (Fa) when (Lammaa) We raised (Nataq'naa) the mountain (El'Jabala) above them (Faw'qa-hum') as if it (Ka'anna-hu) was a canopy (Zullatun), and (Wa) they thought (Zonnuu') that it (Annahu) would fall on them (Waaqiu Bi-him'), "Take (Khuzu') what (Maa) We have given you (Aatai'naa-kum) with (Bi) strength (Quwwatin) and (Wa) remember (Ez'kuru') what (Maa) is therein (Fiihi) so that you (Laällakum') may become pious (Tattaquun)."

7:172  And (Wa) when (Iz') your LORD (Rabbu-ka) took (Akhaza) from (Min) the Children (Banii) of Adam (Aadama) from (Min) their emergence (Zuhuuri-him') and (Wa) their descendants (Zurriyyata-hum') and (Wa) they testified (Ash'hada-hum') for (Älaa) themselves (Anfusi-him), "Am I not (A-las'tu Bi) your LORD (Rabbi-kum')?" They said (Qaalu'), "Indeed (Balaa), we testify (Shahid'naa)," lest (An) you should say (Taquulu') on the Day of Resurrection (Yawmal' Qiyaamati), "Indeed (Innaa), we were (Kunnaa) unaware (Gaafiliin) of (Än') this (Haaza)."

7:173  Or (Aw') you say (Taquuluu'), "It was only (Innamaa) our fathers (Abaau-naa) who associated others (idolized) (Ash'raka) before (Min Qab'lu), and (Wa) we were (Kunnaa) descendants (Zurriyyatan) after them (Min Ba'di-him'). So will (Afa-) YOU annihilate us (-tuh'liku-naa) for what (Bimaa) the falsifiers (El'Mub'tiluun) have done (Faäla)?"

7:174  And (Wa) thus (Kazaalika) have We explained (Nufassilu) the verses (El'Aayaati) so (Wa) that they (Laällahum') may revert (Yar'jiuun).

7:175  And (Wa) recite (Et'lu) to them (Älai'him') the news (Naba'a) of one whom (Ellazii) We gave (Aatai'naa-hu) Our verses (Aayaati-naa), but (Fa) he moved away from them (Ensalakha Min'haa); so (Fa) the devil (Es'Shai'toanu) pursued him (43:36) (At'baä-hu), and (Fa) he became (Kaana) one of (Mina) the misleaders (El'Gaawiin).

7:176  And (Wa) if (Law') We had willed (Shi'naa), We could have (La) elevated him (Rafa'naa-hu) thereby (Bihaa), but he (Walaakinna-hu) inclined to (Akh'lada ilaa) the earth (El'Ar'di) and (Wa) followed (Ettabaä) his inclination (Hawaa-hu). So (Fa) his example (Mathalu-hu) is like (Ka) the example (Mathali) of a dog (18:18) (El'Kal'bi); whether (In) you motivate it (Tah'mil' Älai'hi), it pants (Yal'hath'), or (Aw') you leave it (Tat'ruk'-hu), it pants (Yal'hathu). That (Zaalika) is the example (Mathalu) of the people (El'Qaw'mi) who (Ellaziina) deny (Kazzabu Bi) Our verses (Aayaati-naa). So (Fa) narrate (Eq'susi) the story (El'Qasoso) perhaps they (Laällahum') will ponder (Yatafakkaruun).

7:177  Bad (Saa'a) is the example (Mathalan) of the people (El'Qaw'mu) who (Ellaziina) denied (Kazzabu' Bi) Our verses (Aayaati-naa) and (Wa) were (Kaanu') wronging (Yaz'limuun) themselves (Anfusa-hum').

7:178  Whomever (Man) GOD guides (Yah'di-llahu), then (Fa) he (Huwa) is the guided (El'Muh'tadii); and (Wa) whomever (Man) HE sends astray (Yud'lil'), then (Fa) those (U'laaika) are (Humu) the losers (El'Khaasiruun).

7:179  And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad') seeded (Zara'na) for (Li) Hell (Jahannama) many (Kathiiran) of (Mina) jinns (El'Jinni) and humans (Wal' Insi). They have (Lahum) hearts (Quluubun) by which (Biha) they do not (Laa) comprehend (Yaf'qahuuna), they have (Lahum') eyes (A'yunun) by which (Bihaa) they do not (Laa) see (Yub'siruuna), and (Wa) they have (Lahum') ears (Aazaanun) by which (Bihaa) they do not (Laa) listen (Yas'mauuna). Those (U'laaika) are like (Ka) livestock (El'An'äämi); in fact (Bal), they (Hum') are more astray (Adollu). They (Humu) are those (U'laaika) who are heedless (El'Gaafiluun).

7:180  And (Wa) to GOD belongs (Lillahi) the best (El'Hus'naa) names (El'As'maau); so (Fa) invoke HIM (Ed'uu-hu) by them (Bihaa). And (Wa) leave (Zaru') those who (Ellaziina) equivocate (Yul'hiduuna) about (Fii) HIS names (As'maa'i-hi). They will be requited (Sa Yuj'zaw'na) for what (Maa) they have been (Kaanu') doing (Ya'maluun). (59:22-24)

7:181  And (Wa) among those (Mimman') We created (Khalaq'naa) is a nation (a group of people) (Ummatun) guiding (Yah'duuna) to the truth (Bil' Haqqi) and (Wa) by it (Bihi) they do justice (Ya'diluun).

7:182  As for (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) deny (Kazzabu' Bi) Our verses (Aayaati-naa), We will gradually advance them (68:44) (Sa Nas'tad'riju-hum) from (Min') where (Hai'thu) they do not (Laa) know (Ya'lamuun).

7:183  And (Wa) I (God) will dictate for them (Um'lii La-hum'). Indeed (Inna), MY scheme (Kai'dii) is solid (Matiin). (68:45)

7:184  Or do they not (Awalam') ponder (Yatafakkaru')? There is no (Maa Min) madness (Jinnatin) in (Bi) their friend (Soahibi-him). He (Mohammed) (Huwa) is only (In illa) a clear (Mubiin) warner (Naziirun).

7:185  Or do they not (Awalam') look (Yanzuru') into (Fii) the kingdom (Malakuuti) of the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di) and (Wa) whatever (Maa Min Shai'in) GOD has created (Khalaqa-llahu), and (Wa) that (An') perhaps (Äsaa An Yakuuna) their term (Ajalu-hum') has (Qadi) come near (Eq'taraba)? So (Fa) in (Bi) which (Ayyi) discourse (Hadiithi) after it (Ba'da-hu) will they believe (Yu'minuun)? (68:44)

7:186  Whomever (Man) GOD (Ellahu) sends astray (Yud'lili), there (Fa) is no (Laa) guide (Haadiya) for him (Lahu); for (Wa) HE leaves them (Yazaru-hum') in (Fii) their transgression (Tug'yaani-him'), straying (Ya'mahuun).

7:187  They ask you (s) (Yas'aluunaka) about (Äni) the Hour (79:42) (Es'Saa'äti), "When (Ayyaana) will it take place (Mur'saa-haa)?" Say (Qul'): "Its knowledge (il'mu-ha) is only (Innamaa) with (Enda) my LORD (Rabbii); none (Laa) will reveal (Yujalliya-ha Li) its time (Waq'ti-haa) except (illa) HIM (Huwa). It is heavy (Thaqulat') in (Fii) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di). It will only (Laa illa) come to you (Ta'tii-kum') surprisingly (Bag'tatan)." They ask you (s) (Yas'aluunaka) as if you (Ka'anna-ka) have concealed (Haffiyyun) about it (Än'haa)? Say (Qul'): "Its knowledge (il'mu-ha) is only (Innamaa) with GOD (Endallahi), but (Walaakinna) most (Akh'thara) of the people (En'Naasi) do not (Laa) know (Ya'lamuun)."

7:188  Say (Qul): "I (Mohammed) do not (Laa) control (Am'liku) for (Li) myself (Naf'sii) any benefit (Naf'än) nor (Walaa) harm (Dorran), except (illa) what (Maa) GOD wills (Shaa'a-llahu). And (Wa) if (Law') I was (Kuntu) aware of (A'lamu) the unseen (16:77) (El'Gai'ba), I would have (La) increased (Es'tak'thar'tu) in welfare (Minal' Khai'ri), and (Wa) no (Maa) evil (Es'Suu'u) would have touched me (Massaniya). I am (Ana') only (In' illa) a warner (Naziirun) and (Wa) a herald (Bashiirun) to (Li) a people (Qaw'min) who believe (Yu'minuun)."

7:189  HE (God) (Huwa) is the One who (Ellazii) created you (p) (Khalaqa-kum) from (Min) a single (Waahidatin) soul (Naf'sin) and (Wa) made (Jaäla) its mate (f) (Zaw'ja-ha) from it (Min'ha) in order to (Li) live (Yas'kuna) with her (ilai'haa). And (Fa) when (Lamma) he covers her (Tagasshaa-ha), she carries (Hamalat') thereby (Bihi) a light (Khafiifan) pregnancy (Ham'lan) at (Fa) once (Marrat'). And (Fa) when (Lammaa) it becomes heavy (Ath'qaalat), they invoke GOD (Daäwaa-llaha), their LORD (Rabba-humaa), "Indeed, if (La'in') YOU give us (Aatai'ta-naa) a good child (Soalihaan), we will (La) be (Nakuunanna) among (Mina) the grateful (Es'Shaakiriin)."

7:190  But (Fa) when (Lammaa) HE gives them both (Aataa-humaa) a good child (Soalihaan), they assign (Jaälaa) partners (Shurakaa'a) to HIM (Lahu) regarding what (Fiimaa) HE has given them both (Aataa-humaa); so (Wa) exalted is GOD (Taäälaa-llahu) above what (Ämmaa) they associate (idolize) (Yush'rikuun).

7:191  Do they associate (idolize) (A'yush'rikuuna) what (Maa) did not (Laa) create (Yakh'luqu) anything (Shai'an) while (Wa) they (Hum') were created (Yukh'laquun)?

7:192  And (Wa) they (the Idols) are not (Laa) capable of (Yas'tatii'uuna) helping them (Nas'ran Lahum') nor (Walaa) can they help (Yansuruun) themselves (Anfusa-hum').

7:193  And (Wa) if (In) you invite them (Tad'uu-hum') to (ilaa) the Guidance (45:11) (El'Hudaa), they do not (Laa) follow you (the believers) (Yattabi'uu-kum'). It is the same (Sawaa'un) for you (Älai'kum) whether (A-) you invite them (Daäw'tumuu-hum') or (Am') you (Antum') become quiet (Soamituun).

7:194  Indeed (Inna), those (Ellaziina) you invoke (Tad'uuna) besides GOD (Min Duuni-llahi) are servants (Ebaadun) like you (p) (Am'thaalu-kum'). So (Fa) invoke them (35:14) (Ed'uu-hum') and let (Fal') them respond (Yas'tajiibu') to you (Lakum'), if (In) you are (Kuntum) truthful (Soadiqiin).

7:195  Do they (the idols) have (A'lahum') legs (Ar'julun) by which (Bihaa) they walk (Yam'shuuna)? Or (Am') do they have (Lahum') hands (Ai'din) by which (Bihaa) they strike (Yab'tishuuna)? Or (Am') do they have (Lahum') eyes (A'yunun) by which (Bihaa) they see (Yub'siruuna)? Or (Am') do they have (Lahum') ears (Aazaanun) by which (Biha) they hear (Yas'mauuna)? Say (Quli): "Invoke (Ed'u') your 'associates' (Shurakaa'a-kum') and then (Thumma) plot against me (Kiiduuni) and (Fa) do not (Laa) respite me (Tunziruuni).

7:196  "Indeed (Inna), my guardian (Waliyyiya) is GOD (Ellahu), who (Ellazii) has revealed (Nazzala) the Book (El'Kitaaba); and (Wa) HE (Huwa) allies with (Yatawallaa) the righteous (Es'Soalihiin).

7:197  "As for (Wa) those whom (Ellaziina) you invoke (Tad'uuna) besides HIM (Min Duuni-hi), they are not (Laa) able to (Yas'tatiiuuna) help you (p) (Nas'ra-kum'), nor (Walaa) can they help (Yansuruun) themselves (Anfusa-hum')."

7:198  And (Wa) if (In) you invite them (Tad'uu-hum') to (ilaa) the Guidance (El'Hudaa), they do not (Laa) hear (Yas'mau'); and (Wa) you see them (Taraa-hum') looking (Yan'zuruuna) at you (s) (ilai'ka) but (Wa) they (hum') do not (Laa) see (Yub'siruun).

7:199  Accept (Khuzi) condonation (El'Äf'wa) and (Wa) command to (Emur' Bi) kindness (El'Ur'fi), and (Wa) turn away from (A'rid' Äni) those who are ignorant (25:63) (El'Jaahiliin).

7:200  And (Wa) whenever (Immaa) an incitement (Naz'gun) from (Mina) the devil (Es'Shai'toani) incites you (s) to evil (Yanzagannaka), then (Fa) seek protection (Es'taez') with GOD (Billahi). Indeed, HE (Innahu) is Hearing (Samiiun) and Omniscient (Äliim). (41:36)

7:201  Indeed (Inna), those who (Ellaziina) are pious (Ettaqaw') will take heed (Tazakkaru') when (Izaa) an itinerant (Toa'ifun) from (Mina) the devil (Es'Shai'toani) contacts them (Massa-hum') and (Fa) then (Izaa) they (Hum) will be insightful (Mub'siruun).

7:202  As for (Wa) their brethren (Ikh'waanu-hum'), they (the devils) will extend them (Yamudduuna-hum') in (Fii) error (El'Gayyi); for (Thumma) they do not (Laa) fall short (Yuq'siruun).

7:203  And (Wa) when (Izaa) you do not (Lam') bring them (Ta'ti-him Bi) a verse (Aayatin), they say (Qaalu'), "Why (Law') do you not (Laa) select it (Ej'tabai'ta-haa)?" Say (Qul'): "I only (Innamaa) follow (Attabiu) what (Maa) is inspired (Yuuhaa) to me (ilayya) from (Min) my LORD (Rabbii). This (Haaza) is insight (45:20) (Basoa'iru) from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-kum') and (Wa) as guidance (Hudan) and mercy (Rah'matun) for (Li) people (Qaw'min) who believe (Yu'minuun).”

7:204  And (Wa) whenever (Izaa) the Koran (El'Qur'aanu) is being read (Quria), then (Fa) hearken (Es'tamiu') to it (Lahu) and (Wa) listen (Ansitu') so that you (p) (Laällakum’) may attain mercy (Tur'hamuun).

7:205  And (Wa) commemorate (Ez'kur) your LORD (Rabba-ka) within (Fii) yourself (s) (Naf'si-ka) by imploring (Tadorruän) and (Wa) secretly (Khiifatan) below (Duuna) the loudness (El'Jah'ri) of (Mina) the speech (El'Qaw'li); in the mornings (Bil' Guduwwi) and before sunsets (Wal' Aasoali). And (Wa) do not (Laa) be (Takun) among (Mina) the heedless (El'Gaafiliin). (24:36)

7:206  Indeed (Inna), those (Ellaziina) at (Enda) your LORD (Rabbi-ka) are not (Laa) arrogant (Yas'tak'biruuna) toward (Än') HIS worship (Ebaadati-hi), and (Wa) they (the Angels) glorify HIM (Yusabbihuu-nahu) and (Wa) prostrate (Yas'juduun) to HIM (Lahu).
