63:1  When the Hypocrites come to you, they say, “We bear witness that you indeed are the messenger of Allah.” While Allah knows that you indeed are the HIS messenger, Allah bears witness that the Hypocrites are categorical liars.

63:2  They took their oaths as a ruse, then hindered others from the way of Allah. It is them— what they do is wicked.

63:3  That is because they believed, then disbelieved— and so a seal was set upon their hearts— so they do not understand.

63:4  When you see them, you are impressed with their physical presence, and if they speak you pay attention to their speech. [They] are as if they were propped-up timber. They assume that every rallying cry is against them. They are the enemy, so be wary of them. Allah has rendered them spiritually dead. Whence and how are they hoodwinked?

63:5  When it is said to them, “Come, the messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you,” they nod their heads [dubiously] and you see them balk, while they are arrogantly defiant.

63:6  It will be the same [fate] for them, whether you have sought forgiveness for them, or you do not seek forgiveness for them. Allah will never forgive them. Surely, Allah does not guide the iniquitous people.

63:7  They are the ones who say, “Do not spend on those who are with the messenger of Allah, until they are broken,” And to Allah belong the treasuries of the heavens and the earth, but the Hypocrites do not understand.

63:8  They say, “Once we return to Madinah, the mightier of us shall expel the lowlier,” while to Allah belongs the might, and to HIS messenger and to the believers, but the Hypocrites simply do not know.

63:9  O you who have embraced Faith, let not your wealth or your children distract you from the remembrance of Allah. And whosoever behaves that way— such as they are the squanderers [of the Hereafter].

63:10  And spend from what WE have provided you with, before it is that death comes to one of you, and that he says, “My Rabb why did YOU not defer me for a short while, so that I had given in charity and become of the righteous.”

63:11  And never is Allah to extend the time for any soul when its time has come. Allah is ever fully aware of what you do.
