Today’s Ayat for Saturday, 2018-09-01 / 21 Dhu al-Hijjah 1439

These it is that shall receive a twofold reward for having been patient in adversity, and having repelled evil with good, and having spent on others out of what We provided for them as sustenance,  

  — al-Qasas 28:54 as rendered by Muhammad Asad

أُولَٰئِكَ يُؤْتَوْنَ أَجْرَهُم مَّرَّتَيْنِ بِمَا صَبَرُوا وَيَدْرَءُونَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ

Those times we have to endure with patience
   bring double rewards.
Yes, we we be rewarded in the next life for our efforts,
   but we are also rewarded HERE in the lessons we learn.
Each test increases us in strength and knowledge
