Musa/Moses

Seperated into chapters (Surahs)

2

2:51
Wa 'Idh Wā`adnā Mūsá 'Arba`īna Laylatan Thumma Attakhadhtumu Al-`Ijla Min Ba`dihi Wa 'Antum žālimūna

And We appointed a meeting time for Moses of forty nights, but then you took the calf after him while you were wicked.

2:53
Wa 'Idh 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Furqāna La`allakum Tahtadūna

And We gave Moses the Book and the criterion, perhaps you would be guided.

2:54
Wa 'Idh Qāla Mūsá Liqawmihi Yā Qawmi 'Innakum žalamtum 'Anfusakum Biāttikhādhikumu Al-`Ijla Fatūbū 'Ilá Bāri'ikum Fāqtulū 'Anfusakum Dhālikum Khayrun Lakum `Inda Bāri'ikum Fatāba `Alaykum 'Innahu Huwa At-Tawwābu Ar-Raĥīmu

And Moses said to his people: "O my people, you have wronged your souls by taking the calf, so repent to your Maker, and kill yourselves. That is better for you with your Maker, so He would forgive you. He is the Forgiving, the Merciful."

2:55
Wa 'Idh Qultum Yā Mūsá Lan Nu'umina Laka Ĥattá Nará Allāha Jahratan Fa'akhadhatkumu Aş-Şā`iqatu Wa 'Antum Tanžurūna

And you said: "O Moses, we will not believe you until we see God openly!" So the lightning strike took you while you were still staring.

2:60
Wa 'Idh Astasqá Mūsá Liqawmihi Faqulnā AĐrib Bi`aşāka Al-Ĥajara Fānfajarat Minhu Athnatā `Ashrata `Aynāan Qad `Alima Kullu 'Unāsin Mashrabahum Kulū Wa Ashrabū Min Rizqi Allāhi Wa Lā Ta`thaw Fī Al-'ArĐi Mufsidīna

And Moses was seeking water for his people, so We said: "Strike the stone with your staff." Thus twelve springs exploded out of it; each people then knew from where to drink. "Eat and drink from the provisions of God, and do not roam the earth as corrupters."

2:61
Wa 'Idhi Qultum Yā Mūsá Lan Naşbira `Alá Ţa`āmin Wāĥidin Fād`u Lanā Rabbaka Yukhrij Lanā Mimmā Tunbitu Al-'ArĐu Min Baqlihā Wa Qiththā'ihā Wa Fūmihā Wa `Adasihā Wa Başalihā Qāla 'Atastabdilūna Al-Ladhī Huwa 'Adná Bial-Ladhī Huwa Khayrun Ahbiţū Mişrāan Fa'inna Lakum Mā Sa'altum Wa Đuribat `Alayhimu Adh-Dhillatu Wa Al-Maskanatu Wa Bā'ū BighaĐabin Mina Allāhi Dhālika Bi'annahum Kānū Yakfurūna Bi'āyāti Allāhi Wa Yaqtulūna An-Nabīyīna Bighayri Al-Ĥaqqi Dhālika Bimā `Aşaw Wa Kānū Ya`tadūna

And you said: "O Moses, we will not be patient to one type of food, so call for us your Lord that He may bring forth what the earth grows of its beans, cucumbers, garlic, lentils, and onions." He said: "Would you trade that which is lowly with that which is good?" Descend Egypt, you will have in it what you have asked for. And they were stricken with humiliation and disgrace, and they remained under the wrath of God for they were disbelieving in the revelations of God, and killing the prophets without right; this is for what they have disobeyed and transgressed.

2:67
Wa 'Idh Qāla Mūsá Liqawmihi 'Inna Allāha Ya'murukum 'An Tadhbaĥū Baqaratan Qālū 'Atattakhidhunā Huzūan Qāla 'A`ūdhu Billāhi 'An 'Akūna Mina Al-Jāhilīn

And Moses said to his people: "God orders you to slaughter a heifer." They said: "Do you mock us?" He said: "I seek refuge with God that I not be of the ignorant ones."

2:87
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Wa Qaffaynā Min Ba`dihi Bir-Rusuli Wa 'Ātaynā `Īsá Abna Maryama Al-Bayyināti Wa 'Ayyadnāhu Birūĥi Al-Qudusi 'Afakullamā Jā'akum Rasūlun Bimā Lā Tahwá 'Anfusukum Astakbartum Fafarīqāan Kadhdhabtum Wa Farīqāan Taqtulūn

And We gave Moses the Book, and after him We sent the messengers. And We gave Jesus, son of Mary, the clear proofs, and We supported him with the Holy Spirit. Is it that every time a messenger comes to you with what your souls do not desire, you become arrogant? A group of them you deny, and a group of them you kill!

2:92
Wa Laqad Jā'akum Mūsá Bil-Bayyināti Thumma Attakhadhtumu Al-`Ijla Min Ba`dihi Wa 'Antum žālimūna

And Moses had come to you with clear proofs, then you took the calf after him; you were wicked!

2:108
'Am Turīdūna 'An Tas'alū Rasūlakum Kamā Su'ila Mūsá Min Qablu Wa Man Yatabaddali Al-Kufra Bil-'Īmāni Faqad Đalla Sawā'a As-Sabīli

Or do you want to ask your messenger as Moses was asked before? Whoever replaces belief with rejection, he has indeed strayed from the right path.

2:136

Say: "We believe in God and in what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to the prophets from their Lord; we do not make a distinction between any of them and to Him we submit."

2:246

Did you not note the leaders of the Children of Israel after Moses, they said to their prophet: "Send us a king that we may fight in the cause of God;" he said: "Are you not concerned that if fighting is decreed for you, you will then not fight?" They said: "And why should we not fight in the cause of God when we have been expelled from our homes along with our children." So it was, that when fighting was decreed for them they turned away, except for a few of them! God is fully aware of the wicked.

2:248
Wa Qāla Lahum Nabīyuhum 'Inna 'Āyata Mulkihi 'An Ya'tiyakumu At-Tābūtu Fīhi Sakīnatun Min Rabbikum Wa Baqīyatun Mimmā Taraka 'Ālu Mūsá Wa 'Ālu Hārūna Taĥmiluhu Al-Malā'ikatu 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyatan Lakum 'In Kuntum Mu'uminīna

And their prophet said to them: "The sign of his kingship shall be that he brings to you the ark in which there is tranquility from your Lord and the legacy of what was left behind by the descendants of Moses and the descendants of Aaron being carried by the angels. In this is a sign for you if you are believers."

4:153

The people of the Book ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven. They had asked Moses for even more than that, for they said: "Show us God openly!" So the lightning strike took them for their wickedness. Then they took the calf after the clarity had come to them, and We pardoned them for this; We gave Moses a clear authority.

Wa Rusulāan Qad Qaşaşnāhum `Alayka Min Qablu Wa Rusulāan Lam Naqşuşhum `Alayka Wa Kallama Allāhu Mūsá Taklīmāan

And messengers of whom We have told to you from before, and messengers We have not told to you; and God spoke to Moses directly.

5:20

And Moses said to his people: "My people, remember the grace of God upon you that he made among you prophets, and made you kings, and he gave you what He had not given any from the worlds."

5:22
Qālū Yā Mūsá 'Inna Fīhā Qawmāan Jabbārīna Wa 'Innā Lan Nadkhulahā Ĥattá Yakhrujū Minhā Fa'in Yakhrujū Minhā Fa'innā Dākhilūna

They said: "O Moses, in it are a mighty people, and we will not enter it until they leave from it. So when they leave from it, then we will enter."

5:24
Qālū Yā Mūsá 'Innā Lan Nadkhulahā 'Abadāan Mā Dāmū Fīhā Fādh/hab 'Anta Wa Rabbuka Faqātilā 'Innā Hāhunā Qā`idūna

They said: "O Moses, we will never enter it as long as they are in it, so go you and your Lord and fight, we will stay right here!"

6:84
Wa Wahabnā Lahu 'Isĥāqa Wa Ya`qūba Kullāan Hadaynā Wa Nūĥāan Hadaynā Min Qablu Wa Min Dhurrīyatihi Dāwūda Wa Sulaymāna Wa 'Ayyūba Wa Yūsufa Wa Mūsá Wa Hārūna Wa Kadhalika Najzī Al-Muĥsinīna

And We granted him Isaac and Jacob, both of whom We guided; and Noah We guided from before; and from his progeny is David, and Solomon, and Job, and Joseph, and Moses, and Aaron. It is such that We recompense the good doers.

6:91

And they did not appreciate God as He deserves to be appreciated, for they said: "God has never sent down anything to any human being." Say: "Who then has sent down the Book which Moses had come with, a light and a guidance for the people? You treat it simply as paper for display, and you conceal much; and you were taught what neither you nor your fathers knew." Say: "God has." Then leave them playing in their folly.

6:154
Thumma 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Tamāmāan `Alá Al-Ladhī 'Aĥsana Wa Tafşīlāan Likulli Shay'in Wa Hudáan Wa Raĥmatan La`allahum Biliqā'i Rabbihim Yu'uminūna

Then We gave Moses the Book, to complete for those who do right, and to fully detail all things, and a guide and mercy that they may believe in the meeting of their Lord.

7:103
Thumma Ba`athnā Min Ba`dihim Mūsá Bi'āyātinā 'Ilá Fir`awna Wa Mala'ihi Fažalamū Bihā Fānžur Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Mufsidīna

Then after them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his commanders. But they did wrong in them, so see how is the end of the corrupters.

7:104
Wa Qāla Mūsá Yā Fir`awnu 'Innī Rasūlun Min Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna

And Moses said: "O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds."

7:115
Qālū Yā Mūsá 'Immā 'An Tulqiya Wa 'Immā 'An Nakūna Naĥnu Al-Mulqīna

They said: "O Moses, either you cast, or we will cast?"

7:117
Wa 'Awĥaynā 'Ilá Mūsá 'An 'Alqi `Aşāka Fa'idhā Hiya Talqafu Mā Ya'fikūna

And We inspired Moses: "Throw down your staff;" and it swallowed what they invented.

7:122
Rabbi Mūsá Wa Hārūna

"The Lord of Moses and Aaron."

7:127

And the commanders from among the people of Pharaoh said: "Will you let Moses and his people corrupt the land, and abandon you and your gods?" He said: "We will kill their children and rape their women; we will be supreme over them."

7:128

Moses said to his people: "Seek help with God, and be patient; the earth is for God, He will inherit it to whom He pleases of His servants; and the ending will be for the righteous."

7:131

When any good came to them, they said: "This is ours," and when any bad afflicted them, they blamed it on Moses and those with him. Their blame is with God, but most of them do not know.

7:134

And when the plague befell them, they said: "O Moses, call on your Lord for what He has pledged with you, that if you remove this plague from us, then we will believe in you and we will send with you the Children of Israel."

7:138

And We let the Children of Israel cross the sea, then they came upon a people who were devoted to statues made for them; they said: "O Moses, make for us a god like they have gods?" He said: "You are an ignorant people!"

7:142

And We appointed for Moses thirty nights and completed them with ten, so the appointed time of his Lord was completed at forty nights. And Moses said to his brother Aaron: "Be my successor with my people and be upright, and do not follow the path of the corrupters."

7:143

So when Moses came to Our appointed time, and his Lord spoke to him, he said: "My Lord, let me look upon you." He said: "You will not see Me, but look upon the mountain, if it stays in its place then you will see Me." So when his Lord revealed Himself to the mountain, He caused it to crumble; thus Moses fell unconscious. When he awoke, he said: "Glory to You, I repent to You and I am the first of those who believe."

7:144

And the people of Moses, in his absence, made from their ornaments a sculpture of a calf that emitted a cry. Did they not see that it could not speak to them, nor guide them to any way? They took it and they were wicked.

7:150

And when Moses returned to his people, angry and grieved, he said: "Miserable is what you have done after I was gone; do you wish to hasten the action of your Lord?" And he cast down the tablets, and took his brother by his head dragging him towards him. He said: "Son of my mother, the people overpowered me and nearly killed me, so do not make the enemies rejoice over me, and do not make me with the wicked people."

7:154

And when the anger subsided from Moses, he took the tablets; and in its inscription was a guidance and a mercy for those who reverence their Lord.

7:155

And Moses selected from his people seventy men for Our appointed time; so when the earthquake seized them, he said: "My Lord, if You wished You could have destroyed them before this, and me as well. Will you destroy us for what the foolish among us have done? It is all Your test, You misguide with it whom You please and You guide with it whom You please. You are our Supporter, so forgive us and have mercy on us; You are the Best Forgiver."

7:159

And from among the people of Moses are a nation who guide with the truth and with it they become just.

7:160

And We separated them into twelve patriarch nations; and We inspired Moses when his people wanted to drink: "Strike the stone with your staff," thus twelve springs burst out of it. Each people then knew from where to drink. And We shaded them with clouds and We sent down to them manna and quail: "Eat from the good things that We have provided for you." They did not wrong Us, but it was their souls that they wronged.

10:75
Thumma Ba`athnā Min Ba`dihim Mūsá Wa Hārūna 'Ilá Fir`awna Wa Mala'ihi Bi'āyātinā Fāstakbarū Wa Kānū Qawmāan Mujrimīna

Then, after them, We sent Moses and Aaron with Our signs to Pharaoh and his leaders, but they turned arrogant, they were a criminal people.

10:77
Qāla Mūsá 'Ataqūlūna Lilĥaqqi Lammā Jā'akum 'Asiĥrun Hādhā Wa Lā Yufliĥu As-Sāĥirūna

Moses said: "Would you say this about the truth when it came to you? Is this magic? The magicians will not be successful."

10:80

So, when the magicians came, Moses said to them: "Cast what you will cast."

10:81

So when they cast, Moses said: "What you have brought is magic, God will disable it. God does not set right the works of the corrupters."

10:83

But none believed in Moses from his people except some from their descendants, because of their fear from Pharaoh and his commanders that he would persecute them. Pharaoh was high in the land, and he was of the tyrants.

10:84

And Moses said: "O my people, if you believe in God, then put your trust in Him if you have submitted."

10:87

And We inspired to Moses and his brother: "Let your people leave their homes in Egypt, and let these homes be your focal point, and hold the contact prayer. And give good news to the believers."

10:88

And Moses said: "Our Lord, you have given Pharaoh and his commanders adornments and wealth in this worldly life so that they will misguide from Your path. Our Lord, wipe out their wealth and bring grief to their hearts; for they will not believe until they see the painful retribution."

For those who are on a clarity from their Lord, and are followed by a testimony from Him; and before it was the Book of Moses, a beacon and a mercy; they will believe in it. And whoever rejects it from among the parties, then the Fire is his meeting place. So do not be in any doubt about it. It is the truth from your Lord, but most of the people do not believe.

And We sent Moses with Our signs: "You shall bring your people out of the darkness and into the light, and remind them of the days of God." In this are signs for everyone patient and thankful.

And Moses said to his people: "Remember the blessings of God upon you that He saved you from the people of Pharaoh; they were afflicting you with the worst punishment, and they used to slaughter your children, and rape your women. And in that was a great test from your Lord."

14:8
Wa Qāla Mūsá 'In Takfurū 'Antum Wa Man Fī Al-'ArĐi Jamī`āan Fa'inna Allāha Laghanīyun Ĥamīdun

And Moses said: "If you reject, you and all who are on the earth together, then know that God is Rich, Praiseworthy."

17:2
Wa 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Wa Ja`alnāhu Hudáan Libanī 'Isrā'īla 'Allā Tattakhidhū Min Dūnī Wa Kīlāan

And We gave Moses the Book and We made it a guidance for the Children of Israel: "Do not believe in any besides Me."

17:101

And We had given Moses nine clear signs. So ask the Children of Israel, when he came to them, then Pharaoh said: "I think that you Moses are bewitched!"

18

18:60
Wa 'Idh Qāla Mūsá Lifatāhu Lā 'Abraĥu Ĥattá 'Ablugha Majma`a Al-Baĥrayni 'Aw 'AmĐiya Ĥuqubāan

And Moses said to his youth: "I will not stop until I reach the junction of the two seas, or I spend a lifetime trying."

18:66
Qāla Lahu Mūsá Hal 'Attabi`uka `Alá 'An Tu`allimani Mimmā `Ullimta Rushdāan

Moses said to him: "Can I follow you so that you will teach me from the guidance you have been taught?"

19

19:51
Wa Adhkur Fī Al-Kitābi Mūsá 'Innahu Kāna Mukhlaşāan Wa Kāna Rasūlāan Nabīyāan

And recall in the Book, Moses; he was loyal, and he was a messenger prophet.

20

20:9
Wa Hal 'Atāka Ĥadīthu Mūsá

And did the narrative of Moses come to you?

20:11
Falammā 'Atāhā Nūdī Yā Mūsá

So when he came to it he was called: "O Moses."

20:17
Wa Mā Tilka Biyamīnika Yā Mūsá

"And what is in your right hand O Moses?"

20:19
Qāla 'Alqihā Yā Mūsá

He said: "Cast it down O Moses."

20:36
Qāla Qad 'Ūtīta Su'ulaka Yā Mūsá

He said: "You have been given what you asked O Moses."

20:40

"That your sister should follow, and say: 'Shall I guide you to a person who will nurse him.' Thus We returned you to your mother, so that she may be pleased and not be sad. And you killed a person, but We saved you from harm and We tested you greatly. So it was that you stayed with the people of Midyan for many years, then you came here by fate O Moses."

20:49
Qāla Faman Rabbukumā Yā Mūsá

He said: "So who is the lord of you both O Moses?"

20:57
Qāla 'Aji'tanā Litukhrijanā Min 'ArĐinā Bisiĥrika Yā Mūsá

He said: "Have you come to us to take us out of our land with your magic O Moses?"

20:61
Qāla Lahum Mūsá Waylakum Lā Taftarū `Alá Allāhi Kadhibāan Fayusĥitakum Bi`adhābin Wa Qad Khāba Mani Aftará

Moses said to them: "Woe to you, do not invent lies about God, else the retribution will take you, and miserable is the one who invents."

20:65
Qālū Yā Mūsá 'Immā 'An Tulqiya Wa 'Immā 'An Nakūna 'Awwala Man 'Alqá

They said: "O Moses, either you cast down or we will be the first to cast down."

20:67
Fa'awjasa Fī Nafsihi Khīfatan Mūsá

And Moses held some fear in himself.

20:70
Fa'ulqiya As-Saĥaratu Sujjadāan Qālū 'Āmannā Birabbi Hārūna Wa Mūsá

So the magicians went down in prostration. They said: "We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses."

20:77

And We inspired to Moses: "Take My servants out, and strike for them a path through the sea that is dry. You shall not fear being overtaken, nor be concerned."

20:83
Wa Mā 'A`jalaka `An Qawmika Yā Mūsá

"And what has caused you to rush ahead of your people O Moses?"

20:86

So Moses returned to his people angry and disappointed. He said: "My people, did not your Lord promise you a good promise? Has the waiting for the pledge been too long, or did you want that the wrath of your Lord be upon you? Thus you broke the promise with me."

20:88
Fa'akhraja Lahum `Ijlāan Jasadāan Lahu Khuwārun Faqālū Hādhā 'Ilahukum Wa 'Ilahu Mūsá Fanasiya

He then produced for them a sculpture of a calf that emitted a cry. So they said: "This is your god and the god of Moses, but he had forgotten!"

20:91
Qālū Lan Nabraĥa `Alayhi `Ākifīna Ĥattá Yarji`a 'Ilaynā Mūsá

They said: "We will remain devoted to it until Moses comes back to us."

21

21:48
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Wa Hārūna Al-Furqāna Wa Điyā'an Wa Dhikrāan Lilmuttaqīna

And We had given Moses and Aaron the Criterion, a shining light, and reminder for the righteous.

22

22:44
Wa 'Aşĥābu Madyana Wa Kudhdhiba Mūsá Fa'amlaytu Lilkāfirīna Thumma 'Akhadhtuhum Fakayfa Kāna Nakīri

And the dwellers of Midyan; and Moses was denied. So I granted respite to the rejecters then I took them, how then was My punishment?

23

23:45
Thumma 'Arsalnā Mūsá Wa 'Akhāhu Hārūna Bi'āyātinā Wa Sulţānin Mubīnin

Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and a clear authority.

23:49
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba La`allahum Yahtadūna

And We have given Moses the Book, so that they may be guided.

25

25:35
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Wa Ja`alnā Ma`ahu 'Akhāhu Hārūna Wazīrāan

And We gave Moses the Book and We made his brother Aaron a minister with him.

26

26:10
Wa 'Idh Nādá Rabbuka Mūsá 'Ani A'ti Al-Qawma Až-žālimīna

And when your Lord called to Moses: "Go to the people who are wicked."

26:43
Qāla Lahum Mūsá 'Alqū Mā 'Antum Mulqūna

Moses said to them: "Cast down what it is you will cast."

26:45
Fa'alqá Mūsá `Aşāhu Fa'idhā Hiya Talqafu Mā Ya'fikūna

So Moses cast down his staff, then it was eating-up all that they showed!

26:48
Rabbi Mūsá Wa Hārūna

"The Lord of Moses and Aaron."

26:52
Wa 'Awĥaynā 'Ilá Mūsá 'An 'Asri Bi`ibādī 'Innakum Muttaba`ūna

And We inspired Moses: "Take away My servants, for you will be followed."

26:61
Falammā Tarā'á Al-Jam`āni Qāla 'Aşĥābu Mūsá 'Innā Lamudrakūna

But when the two groups saw each other, the companions of Moses said: "We are caught!"

26:63
Fa'awĥaynā 'Ilá Mūsá 'Ani AĐrib Bi`aşāka Al-Baĥra Fānfalaqa Fakāna Kullu Firqin Kālţţawdi Al-`Ažīmi

So We inspired to Moses: "Strike the sea with your staff." So it split into two, each side like a great mountain.

26:65
Wa 'Anjaynā Mūsá Wa Man Ma`ahu 'Ajma`īna

And We saved Moses and all those with him.

27

27:7
'Idh Qāla Mūsá Li'hlihi 'Innī 'Ānastu Nārāan Sa'ātīkum Minhā Bikhabarin 'Aw 'Ātīkum Bishihābin Qabasin La`allakum Taşţalūna

And Moses said to his family: "I have seen a fire, I will bring you from there some news or I will bring you a burning piece so that you may be warmed."

27:9
Yā Mūsá 'Innahu 'Anā Allāhu Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu

"O Moses, it is I God, the Noble, the Wise."

27:10
Wa 'Alqi `Aşāka Falammā Ra'āhā Tahtazzu Ka'annahā Jānnun Wallá Mudbirāan Wa Lam Yu`aqqib Yā Mūsá Lā Takhaf 'Innī Lā Yakhāfu Ladayya Al-Mursalūna

"And throw down your staff." So when he saw it vibrate as if it were a Jinn, he ran away and would not turn back. "O Moses, do not fear, for My messengers shall have no fear from Me."

28

28:3
Natlū `Alayka Min Naba'i Mūsá Wa Fir`awna Bil-Ĥaqqi Liqawmin Yu'uminūna

We recite to you from the news of Moses and Pharaoh with fact, for a people who believe.

28:7
Wa 'Awĥaynā 'Ilá 'Ummi Mūsá 'An 'ArĐi`īhi Fa'idhā Khifti `Alayhi Fa'alqīhi Fī Al-Yammi Wa Lā Takhāfī Wa Lā Taĥzanī 'Innā Rāddūhu 'Ilayki Wa Jā`ilūhu Mina Al-Mursalīna

And We inspired to Moses' mother: "Suckle him, and when you become fearful for him, then cast him off in the sea, and do not fear nor grieve. We will return him to you and We will make him of the messengers."

28:10
Wa 'Aşbaĥa Fu'uādu 'Ummi Mūsá Fārighāan 'In Kādat Latubdī Bihi Lawlā 'An Rabaţnā `Alá Qalbihā Litakūna Mina Al-Mu'uminīna

And the heart of Moses' mother became anxious, that she nearly revealed her identity. But We strengthened her heart, so that she would be of the believers.

28:15
Wa Dakhala Al-Madīnata `Alá Ĥīni Ghaflatin Min 'Ahlihā Fawajada Fīhā Rajulayni Yaqtatilāni Hādhā Min Shī`atihi Wa Hadhā Min `Adūwihi Fāstaghāthahu Al-Ladhī Min Shī`atihi `Alá Al-Ladhī Min `Adūwihi Fawakazahu Mūsá FaqaĐá `Alayhi Qāla Hādhā Min `Amali Ash-Shayţāni 'Innahu `Adūwun MuĐillun Mubīnun

And he entered the city unexpectedly, without being noticed by the people. He found in it two men who were fighting, one was from his clan, and the other was from that of his enemy. So the one who was from his clan called on him for help against his enemy, whereby Moses punched him, killing him. He said: "This is from the work of the devil; he is an enemy that clearly misleads."

28:18

So he spent the night in the city, afraid and watchful. Then the one who sought his help yesterday, was asking again for his help. Moses said to him: "You are clearly a trouble maker."

28:19
Falammā 'An 'Arāda 'An Yabţisha Bial-Ladhī Huwa `Adūwun Lahumā Qāla Yā Mūsá 'Aturīdu 'An Taqtulanī Kamā Qatalta Nafsāan Bil-'Amsi 'In Turīdu 'Illā 'An Takūna Jabbārāan Fī Al-'ArĐi Wa Mā Turīdu 'An Takūna Mina Al-Muşliĥīna

But when he was about to strike their common enemy, he said: "O Moses, do you want to kill me, as you killed that person yesterday? Obviously, you wish to be a tyrant on the earth; you do not wish to be of the righteous."

28:20

And a man came running from the farthest part of the city, saying: "O Moses, the commanders are plotting to kill you, so leave immediately. I am giving you good advice."

28:29
Falammā QaĐá Mūsá Al-'Ajala Wa Sāra Bi'ahlihi 'Ānasa Min Jānibi Aţ-Ţūri Nārāan Qāla Li'hlihi Amkuthū 'Innī 'Ānastu Nārāan La`allī 'Ātīkum Minhā Bikhabarin 'Aw Jadhwatin Mina An-Nāri La`allakum Taşţalūna

So after Moses fulfilled his obligation and was traveling with his family, he saw a fire on the slope of the mount. He said to his family: "Stay here, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you from there some news or a burning piece of the fire so that you may be warmed."

28:30

So when he reached it, he was called from the edge of the right side of the valley at the blessed area of the tree: "O Moses, it is I, God, Lord of the worlds."

28:31
Wa 'An 'Alqi `Aşāka Falammā Ra'āhā Tahtazzu Ka'annahā Jānnun Wallá Mudbirāan Wa Lam Yu`aqqib Yā Mūsá 'Aqbil Wa Lā Takhaf 'Innaka Mina Al-'Āminīna

"Now, throw down your staff." So when he saw it vibrate as if it were a Jinn, he turned around to flee and would not return. "O Moses, come forward and do not be afraid. You are of those who are safe."

28:36
Falammā Jā'ahum Mūsá Bi'āyātinā Bayyinātin Qālū Mā Hādhā 'Illā Siĥrun Muftaráan Wa Mā Sami`nā Bihadhā Fī 'Ābā'inā Al-'Awwalīna

So when Moses went to them with Our clear signs, they said: "This is nothing but fabricated magic; nor did we hear of this from our fathers of old!"

28:37
Wa Qāla Mūsá Rabbī 'A`lamu Biman Jā'a Bil-Hudá Min `Indihi Wa Man Takūnu Lahu `Āqibatu Ad-Dāri 'Innahu Lā Yufliĥu Až-žālimūna

And Moses said: "My Lord is fully aware of who has come with the guidance from Him, and who will have the best deal in the Hereafter. The wicked never succeed."

28:38
Wa Qāla Fir`awnu Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Mala'u Mā `Alimtu Lakum Min 'Ilahin Ghayrī Fa'awqid Lī Yā Hāmānu `Alá Aţ-Ţīni Fāj`al Lī Şarĥāan La`allī 'Aţţali`u 'Ilá 'Ilahi Mūsá Wa 'Innī La'ažunnuhu Mina Al-Kādhibīna

And Pharaoh said: "O commanders, I have not known of any god for you other than me. Therefore, O Haamaan, fire-up the bricks and make for me a high platform, so perhaps I may take a look at the god of Moses; though I think he is one of the liars."

28:43
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Min Ba`di Mā 'Ahlaknā Al-Qurūna Al-'Ūlá Başā'ira Lilnnāsi Wa Hudáan Wa Raĥmatan La`allahum Yatadhakkarūna

We had given Moses the Book after We had destroyed the earlier generations; as an example for the people and a guidance and a mercy, perhaps they will take heed.

28:44
Wa Mā Kunta Bijānibi Al-Gharbīyi 'Idh QaĐaynā 'Ilá Mūsá Al-'Amra Wa Mā Kunta Mina Ash-Shāhidīn

And you were not on the western slope when We decreed the command to Moses. You were not a witness.

28:48
Falammā Jā'ahumu Al-Ĥaqqu Min `Indinā Qālū Lawlā 'Ūtiya Mithla Mā 'Ūtiya Mūsá 'Awalam Yakfurū Bimā 'Ūtiya Mūsá Min Qablu Qālū Siĥrāni Tažāharā Wa Qālū 'Innā Bikullin Kāfirūna

But when the truth came to them from Us, they said: "If only he was given the same that was given to Moses!" Had they not rejected what was given to Moses before? They had said: "Two magicians assisting one another." And they said: "We reject all these things."

28:76
'Inna Qārūna Kāna Min Qawmi Mūsá Fabaghá `Alayhim Wa 'Ātaynāhu Mina Al-Kunūzi Mā 'Inna Mafātiĥahu Latanū'u Bil-`Uşbati 'Ūlī Al-Qūwati 'Idh Qāla Lahu Qawmuhu Lā Tafraĥ 'Inna Allāha Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Fariĥīna

Qaroon was from among the people of Moses, but he betrayed them. And We gave him such treasures that the keys thereof were almost too heavy for the strongest person. His people said to him: "Do not glee, for God does not love the gleeful."

29

29:39
Wa Qārūna Wa Fir`awna Wa Hāmāna Wa Laqad Jā'ahum Mūsá Bil-Bayyināti Fāstakbarū Fī Al-'ArĐi Wa Mā Kānū Sābiqīna

And Qaroon, and Pharaoh, and Haamaan; Moses went to them with clear proofs. But they became arrogant in the land, and they were not the first.

32

32:23
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Falā Takun Fī Miryatin Min Liqā'ihi Wa Ja`alnāhu Hudáan Libanī 'Isrā'īla

And We have given Moses the Book; so do not be in any doubt about meeting Him; and We made it a guide for the Children of Israel.

33

33:7
Wa 'Idh 'Akhadhnā Mina An-Nabīyīna Mīthāqahum Wa Minka Wa Min Nūĥin Wa 'Ibrāhīma Wa Mūsá Wa `Īsá Abni Maryama Wa 'Akhadhnā Minhum Mīthāqāan Ghalīžāan

And when We took from the prophets their covenant. And from you, and from Noah, and Abraham, and Moses, and Jesus, son of Mary; We took from them a solemn covenant.

33:69
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lā Takūnū Kālladhīna 'Ādhaw Mūsá Fabarra'ahu Allāhu Mimmā Qālū Wa Kāna `Inda Allāhi Wajīhāan

O you who believe, do not be like those who harmed Moses, but then God cleared him of all they said, and he was honorable before God.

37

37:114
Wa Laqad Manannā `Alá Mūsá Wa Hārūna

And indeed, We have given Our grace to Moses and Aaron.

37:120
Salāmun `Alá Mūsá Wa Hārūna

Peace be upon Moses and Aaron.

40

40:23
Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Mūsá Bi'āyātinā Wa Sulţānin Mubīnin

And We had sent Moses with Our signs, and a clear authority.

40:26
Wa Qāla Fir`awnu Dharūnī 'Aqtul Mūsá Wa Līad`u Rabbahu 'Innī 'Akhāfu 'An Yubaddila Dīnakum 'Aw 'An Yužhira Fī Al-'ArĐi Al-Fasāda

And Pharaoh said: Leave me to kill Moses, and let him call upon his Lord. I fear that he may change your system, or that he will cause evil to spread throughout the land.

40:27
Wa Qāla Mūsá 'Innī `Udhtu Birabbī Wa Rabbikum Min Kulli Mutakabbirin Lā Yu'uminu Biyawmi Al-Ĥisābi

And Moses said: I seek refuge with my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant one who does not believe in the Day of Reckoning

40:37
'Asbāba As-Samāwāti Fa'aţţali`a 'Ilá 'Ilahi Mūsá Wa 'Innī La'ažunnuhu Kādhibāan Wa Kadhalika Zuyyina Lifir`awna Sū'u `Amalihi Wa Şudda `Ani As-Sabīli Wa Mā Kaydu Fir`awna 'Illā Fī Tabābin

The secrets of the heavens, so that I may take a look at the god of Moses; though I think he is a liar. Thus the evil works of Pharaoh were adorned for him, and he was blocked from the path. And the planning of Pharaoh brought nothing but regret.

40:53
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Hudá Wa 'Awrathnā Banī 'Isrā'īla Al-Kitāba

And We gave Moses the guidance, and We made the Children of Israel inherit the Book.

41

41:45
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Fākhtulifa Fīhi Wa Lawlā Kalimatun Sabaqat Min Rabbika LaquĐiya Baynahum Wa 'Innahum Lafī Shakkin Minhu Murībin

And We have given Moses the Book, but it was disputed in. And had it not been for the predetermined decision of your Lord, they would have been judged immediately. Indeed, they harbor many doubts about it.

42

42:13
Shara`a Lakum Mina Ad-Dīni Mā Waşşá Bihi Nūĥāan Wa Al-Ladhī 'Awĥaynā 'Ilayka Wa Mā Waşşaynā Bihi 'Ibrāhīma Wa Mūsá Wa `Īsá 'An 'Aqīmū Ad-Dīna Wa Lā Tatafarraqū Fīhi Kabura `Alá Al-Mushrikīna Mā Tad`ūhum 'Ilayhi Allāhu Yajtabī 'Ilayhi Man Yashā'u Wa Yahdī 'Ilayhi Man Yunību

He has decreed for you the same system He ordained for Noah, and what We inspired to you, and what We ordained for Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: You shall uphold this system, and do not divide in it. Intolerable for the polytheists is what you invite them towards. God chooses for Himself whoever He wills; He guides to Himself those who repent.

43

43:46
Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Mūsá Bi'āyātinā 'Ilá Fir`awna Wa Mala'ihi Faqāla 'Innī Rasūlu Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna

And We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his commanders; so he said: I am a messenger of the Lord of the worlds.

46

46:12
Wa Min Qablihi Kitābu Mūsá 'Imāmāan Wa Raĥmatan Wa Hadhā Kitābun Muşaddiqun Lisānāan `Arabīyāan Liyundhira Al-Ladhīna žalamū Wa Bushrá Lilmuĥsinīna

And before it was the Book of Moses, a beacon and a mercy. And this is an authenticating Book, in an Arabic tongue, so that you may warn those who have transgressed, and to give good news to the righteous.

46:30
Qālū Yā Qawmanā 'Innā Sami`nā Kitābāan 'Unzila Min Ba`di Mūsá Muşaddiqāan Limā Bayna Yadayhi Yahdī 'Ilá Al-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Ilá Ţarīqin Mustaqīmin

They said: O our people, we have heard a Book that was sent down after Moses, authenticating what is between his hands. It guides to the truth; and to a straight path.

51

51:38
Wa Fī Mūsá 'Idh 'Arsalnāhu 'Ilá Fir`awna Bisulţānin Mubīnin

And also Moses, for We sent him to Pharaoh with a clear authority.

53

53:36
'Am Lam Yunabba' Bimā Fī Şuĥufi Mūsá

Or was he not informed of the teachings in the scripts of Moses?

61

61:5
Wa 'Idh Qāla Mūsá Liqawmihi Yā Qawmi Lima Tu'udhūnanī Wa Qad Ta`lamūna 'Annī Rasūlu Allāhi 'Ilaykum Falammā Zāghū 'Azāgha Allāhu Qulūbahum Wa Allāhu Lā Yahdī Al-Qawma Al-Fāsiqīna

And when Moses said to his people: O my people, why do you harm me, while you know that I am a messenger of God to you? But when they deviated, God diverted their hearts. AndGod does not guide the wicked people.

79

79:15

Did the narrative of Moses come to you?

87

87:19

The scripts of Abraham and Moses.
