And they were stricken with humiliation and disgrace, and they remained under the wrath of God for they were disbelieving in the revelations of God, and killing the prophets without right; this is for what they have disobeyed and transgressed.

Indeed, the stone and the rock outcropping are among the symbols of God. So whoever makes Pilgrimage to the Sanctuary, or is merely passing through, commits no error should he traverse them. And whoever donates for goodness, then God is Thankful, Knowledgeable.

Those invite to the Fire, while God is inviting to the Paradise and forgiveness by His consent. He clarifies His revelations for the people that they may remember.

O people of the Book, do not overstep in your system, nor say about God except the truth. Jesus, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger of God and the fulfillment of His word to Mary and a Spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers, and do not say: "Trinity." Cease, for it is better for you. God is only One god, be He glorified that He should have a son! To Him is all that is in the heavens and the earth; and God is enough as a Caretaker.

And if God afflicts you with any harm, then none can remove it except He; and if He wanted good for you, then none can turn away His grace, He brings it to whom He wishes of His servants. And He is the Forgiver, the Merciful.

10:109
Wa Attabi` Mā Yūĥá 'Ilayka Wa Aşbir Ĥattá Yaĥkuma Allāhu Wa Huwa Khayru Al-Ĥākimīna

And follow what is being inspired to you and be patient until God judges. And He is the best of judges.

"Nor do I say to you that I have the treasures of God, nor do I know the future, nor do I say that I am an angel, nor do I say to those whom your eyes look down upon that God will not grant them any good. God is more aware of what is in their souls; in such case I would be among the wicked."

11:84

And to Midyan was their brother Shu'ayb, he said: "My people, serve God, you have no god besides Him, and do not give short in the measure and the weight. I see you in prosperity, and I fear for you the retribution of a day that is surrounding."

11:86

"What will remain for you with God is far better if you are believers. And I am not a guardian over you."

12:39

Yā Şāĥibayi As-Sijni 'A'arbābun Mutafarriqūna Khayrun 'Ami Allāhu Al-Wāĥidu Al-Qahhāru

"O my fellow inmates, are various lords better, or God, the One, the Supreme?"

12:57

Wa La'ajru Al-'Ākhirati Khayrun Lilladhīna 'Āmanū Wa Kānū Yattaqūna

And the reward of the Hereafter is better for those who believe and are aware.

12:59

So, when he furnished them with their provisions, he said: "Bring me a brother of yours who is from your father. Do you not see that I give full measure of grain and that I am the best of hosts?"

12:64
Qāla Hal 'Āmanukum `Alayhi 'Illā Kamā 'Amintukum `Alá 'Akhīhi Min Qablu Fa-Allāhu Khayrun Ĥāfižāan Wa Huwa 'Arĥamu Ar-Rāĥimīna

He said: "Shall I trust him with you as I trusted you with Joseph before that? God is the best guardian, and He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy."

12:80

So when they gave-up from him, they held a conference in private. The eldest of them said: "Did you not know that your father has taken a covenant over you with God, and before this you also failed in your duty with Joseph? I will not leave this land until my father permits me to do so or that God will judge for me. He is the best of judges."

12:109

And We have not sent before you except men, to whom We gave inspiration, from the people of the towns. Will they not roam the earth and see how was the punishment of those before them? And the abode of the Hereafter is far better for those who are aware. Do you not comprehend?

16:30

And God puts forth the example of two men, one of them is mute and he cannot achieve anything, and he is a burden to his guardian. Wherever he points him, he does not come with any good. Is he the same as one who orders good and he is upon a straight path?

16:95

And from the people there is he who serves God nervously. So if good comes to him, he is content with it; and if an ordeal comes to him, he makes an about-face. He has lost this world and the Hereafter. Such is the clear loss.

22:30

And the plump livestock, We have made them for you to be among the symbols of God; you will have benefit in them. So mention the name of God upon them in succession; then, once their sides have become still, you may eat from them and feed with them the poor and the needy. It was thus that We have made them in service to you, that you may be thankful.

22:58

O you who believe, kneel and prostrate and serve your Lord and do good that you may succeed.

23:29
Wa Qul Rabbi 'Anzilnī Munzalāan Mubārakāan Wa 'Anta Khayru Al-Munzilīna

And say: "My Lord, cause me to embark upon a blessed place, for You are the best for those who embark."

23:72
'Am Tas'aluhum Kharjāan Fakharāju Rabbika Khayrun Wa Huwa Khayru Ar-Rāziqīna

Or do you ask them for a wage? The wage of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers.

23:72
'Am Tas'aluhum Kharjāan Fakharāju Rabbika Khayrun Wa Huwa Khayru Ar-Rāziqīna

Or do you ask them for a wage? The wage of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers.

23:109
'Innahu Kāna Farīqun Min `Ibādī Yaqūlūna Rabbanā 'Āmannā Fāghfir Lanā Wa Arĥamnā Wa 'Anta Khayru Ar-Rāĥimīna

There was a group from among My servants who used to say: "Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us, and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of those who show mercy."

23:118
Wa Qul Rabbi Aghfir Wa Arĥam Wa 'Anta Khayru Ar-Rāĥimīna

And say: "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and you are the best of those who are merciful."

24:11
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Jā'ū Bil-'Ifki `Uşbatun Minkum Lā Taĥsabūhu Sharrāan Lakum Bal Huwa Khayrun Lakum Likulli Amri'in Minhum Mā Aktasaba Mina Al-'Ithmi Wa Al-Ladhī Tawallá Kibrahu Minhum Lahu `Adhābun `Ažīmun

Those who have brought forth the false accusation were a group from among you. Do not think it is bad for you, for it is good for you. Every person among them will have what he deserves of the sin. And as for he who had the greatest portion of it, he will have a great retribution.

24:12
Lawlā 'Idh Sami`tumūhu žanna Al-Mu'uminūna Wa Al-Mu'uminātu Bi'anfusihim Khayrāan Wa Qālū Hādhā 'Ifkun Mubīnun

If only when you heard it the believing males and the believing females should have thought good of their own selves and said: "This is an obvious lie!"

24:27
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lā Tadkhulū Buyūtāan Ghayra Buyūtikum Ĥattá Tasta'nisū Wa Tusallimū `Alá 'Ahlihā Dhālikum Khayrun Lakum La`allakum Tadhakkarūna

O you who believe, do not enter any homes except your own unless you perceive a welcome and you greet the people in them. This is best for you, perhaps you will remember.

24:33
Wa Līasta`fifi Al-Ladhīna Lā Yajidūna Nikāĥāan Ĥattá Yughniyahumu Allāhu Min FaĐlihi Wa Al-Ladhīna Yabtaghūna Al-Kitāba Mimmā Malakat 'Aymānukum Fakātibūhum 'In `Alimtum Fīhim Khayrāan Wa 'Ātūhum Min Māli Allāhi Al-Ladhī 'Ātākum Wa Lā Tukrihū Fatayātikum `Alá Al-Bighā'i 'In 'Aradna Taĥaşşunāan Litabtaghū `AraĐa Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Man Yukrihhunna Fa'inna Allāha Min Ba`di 'Ikrāhihinna Ghafūrun Raĥīmun

And let those who are not able to marry continue to be chaste until God enriches them of His Bounty. And if those who are maintained by your oaths seek to consummate the marriage, then document it with them if you find that they are ready, and give them from the wealth of God which He has bestowed upon you. And do not force your young women to need if they have desired to be independent, in order that you may make a gain in the goods of this worldly life. And if anyone has compelled them, then for their compulsion, God is Forgiving, Merciful.

24:60
Wa Al-Qawā`idu Mina An-Nisā' Al-Lātī Lā Yarjūna Nikāĥāan Falaysa `Alayhinna Junāĥun 'An YaĐa`na Thiyābahunna Ghayra Mutabarrijātin Bizīnatin Wa 'An Yasta`fifna Khayrun Lahunna Wa Allāhu Samī`un `Alīmun

And the women who are past child bearing, who no longer seek to get married, have no sin upon them if they put-off their garments, provided they are not adorned for beauty. And if they remain as they were, then it is better for them. God is Hearer, Knower.

25:10
Tabāraka Al-Ladhī 'In Shā'a Ja`ala Laka Khayrāan Min Dhālika Jannātin Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru Wa Yaj`al Laka Quşūrāan

Blessed is the One who if He wishes can make for you better than that. Gardens with rivers flowing beneath them, and He will make for you palaces.

25:15
Qul 'Adhalika Khayrun 'Am Jannatu Al-Khuldi Allatī Wu`ida Al-Muttaqūna Kānat Lahum Jazā'an Wa Maşīrāan

Say: "Is that better or the garden of eternity that the righteous have been promised?" It is their reward and destiny.

25:24
'Aşĥābu Al-Jannati Yawma'idhin Khayrun Mustaqarrāan Wa 'Aĥsanu Maqīlāan

The dwellers of the Paradise on that Day are in the best abode and the best destiny.

27:36
Falammā Jā'a Sulaymāna Qāla 'Atumiddūnani Bimālin Famā 'Ātāniya Allāhu Khayrun Mimmā 'Ātākum Bal 'Antum Bihadīyatikum Tafraĥūna

So when they came to Solomon he said: "Are you providing me with wealth? What God has provided for me is far better than what He has given you. Now you are happy with your gift!"

27:59
Quli Al-Ĥamdu Lillāhi Wa Salāmun `Alá `Ibādihi Al-Ladhīna Aşţafá 'Āālllahu Khayrun 'Ammā Yushrikūna

Say: "Praise be to God, and peace be upon His servants whom He has selected." Is God better, or that which you set up?

27:89
Man Jā'a Bil-Ĥasanati Falahu Khayrun Minhā Wa Hum Min Faza`in Yawma'idhin 'Āminūna

Whoever comes with a good deed will receive better than it, and from the terror of that Day they will be safe.

28:24
Fasaqá Lahumā Thumma Tawallá 'Ilá Až-žilli Faqāla Rabbi 'Innī Limā 'Anzalta 'Ilayya Min Khayrin Faqīrun

So he drew water for them, then he turned to a shaded area, and he said: "My Lord, I am poor, lacking any provisions You may have sent down."

28:26
Qālat 'Iĥdāhumā Yā 'Abati Asta'jirhu 'Inna Khayra Mani Asta'jarta Al-Qawīyu Al-'Amīnu

One of the two women said: "O my father, hire him. For the best to be hired is one who is strong and honest."

28:60
Wa Mā 'Ūtītum Min Shay'in Famatā`u Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Zīnatuhā Wa Mā `Inda Allāhi Khayrun Wa 'Abqá 'Afalā Ta`qilūna

And anything that is given to you is only the materialism of this world, and its glitter. And what is with God is far better, and more lasting. Do you not comprehend?

28:80
Wa Qāla Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-`Ilma Waylakum Thawābu Allāhi Khayrun Liman 'Āmana Wa `Amila Şāliĥāan Wa Lā Yulaqqāhā 'Illā Aş-Şābirūna

And those who were blessed with knowledge said: "Woe to you! The reward from God is far better for those who believe and do good work. And none attains it except the steadfast."

28:84
Man Jā'a Bil-Ĥasanati Falahu Khayrun Minhā Wa Man Jā'a Bis-Sayyi'ati Falā Yujzá Al-Ladhīna `Amilū As-Sayyi'āti 'Illā Mā Kānū Ya`malūna

Whoever brings forth a good deed, he will receive a better reward than it. And whoever brings forth a sin then the retribution for their sins will be to the extent of their deeds.

29:16
Wa 'Ibrāhīma 'Idh Qāla Liqawmihi A`budū Allāha Wa Attaqūhu Dhālikum Khayrun Lakum 'In Kuntum Ta`lamūna

And Abraham when he said to his people: "Serve God and be aware of Him, that is better for you if only you knew."

30:38
Fa'āti Dhā Al-Qurbá Ĥaqqahu Wa Al-Miskīna Wa Abna As-Sabīli Dhālika Khayrun Lilladhīna Yurīdūna Wajha Allāhi Wa 'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Mufliĥūna

So give the relative his due, and the poor, and the wayfarer. That is best for those who seek the face of God, and they are the successful ones.

33:19
'Ashiĥĥatan `Alaykum Fa'idhā Jā'a Al-Khawfu Ra'aytahum Yanžurūna 'Ilayka Tadūru 'A`yunuhum Kālladhī Yughshá `Alayhi Mina Al-Mawti Fa'idhā Dhahaba Al-Khawfu Salaqūkum Bi'alsinatin Ĥidādin 'Ashiĥĥatan `Alá Al-Khayri 'Ūlā'ika Lam Yu'uminū Fa'aĥbaţa Allāhu 'A`mālahum Wa Kāna Dhālika `Alá Allāhi Yasīrāan

They are miserable towards you. Then, when fear comes, you see their eyes rolling, as if death had already come to them. But once the fear is gone, they lash-out at you with sharp tongues. They are miserable towards doing any good. These have not believed, so God nullifies their works. This is easy for God to do.

33:25
Waradda Allāhu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Bighayžihim Lam Yanālū Khayrāan Wa Kafá Allāhu Al-Mu'uminīna Al-Qitāla Wa Kāna Allāhu Qawīyāan `Azīzāan

And God drove back those who disbelieved with their rage, they left empty handed. God thus spared the believers any fighting. God is Powerful, Noble.

34:39
Qul 'Inna Rabbī Yabsuţu Ar-Rizqa Liman Yashā'u Min `Ibādihi Wa Yaqdiru Lahu Wa Mā 'Anfaqtum Min Shay'in Fahuwa Yukhlifuhu Wa Huwa Khayru Ar-Rāziqīna

Say: My Lord gives provisions for whom He wishes of His servants and He restricts. And anything you spend, He will replace it; and He is the Best of providers.

37:62
'Adhalika Khayrun Nuzulāan 'Am Shajaratu Az-Zaqqūmi

Is that a better destination, or the tree of Bitterness?

38:32
Faqāla 'Innī 'Aĥbabtu Ĥubba Al-Khayri `An Dhikri Rabbī Ĥattá Tawārat Bil-Ĥijābi

He said: "I have enjoyed materialism over the remembrance of my Lord, until it had set beyond the horizon!"

38:47
Wa 'Innahum `Indanā Lamina Al-Muşţafayna Al-'Akhyāri

And they are with Us of the elite, the best.

38:48
Wa Adhkur 'Ismā`īla Wa Al-Yasa`a Wa Dhā Al-Kifli Wa Kullun Mina Al-'Akhyāri

And recall Ishmael, Elisha, and Isaiah; all are among the best.

38:76
Qāla 'Anā Khayrun Minhu Khalaqtanī Min Nārin Wa Khalaqtahu Min Ţīnin

He said: "I am better than he; You created me from fire, and created him from clay."

41:40

Those who distort Our revelations are not hidden from Us. Is one who is thrown into Hell better, or one who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do whatever you wish; He is Seer of what you do.

41:49
Lā Yas'amu Al-'Insānu Min Du`ā'i Al-Khayri Wa 'In Massahu Ash-Sharru Faya'ūsun Qanūţun

Man does not tire in praying for good things. But if adversity touches him, he is disheartened, desperate!

42:36
Famā 'Ūtītum Min Shay'in Famatā`u Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Mā `Inda Allāhi Khayrun Wa 'Abqá Lilladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Alá Rabbihim Yatawakkalūna

So whatever you are given is simply an enjoyment of the worldly life, and what is with God is far better and more lasting for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord.

43:32
'Ahum Yaqsimūna Raĥmata Rabbika Naĥnu Qasamnā Baynahum Ma`īshatahum Fī Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Rafa`nā Ba`Đahum Fawqa Ba`Đin Darajātin Liyattakhidha Ba`Đuhum Ba`Đāan Sukhrīyāan Wa Raĥmatu Rabbika Khayrun Mimmā Yajma`ūna

Is it they who assign the mercy of your Lord? We have assigned their share in this worldly life, and We raised some of them above others in ranks, so that they would take one another in service. The mercy from your Lord is far better than that which they amass.

43:52
'Am 'Anā Khayrun Min Hādhā Al-Ladhī Huwa Mahīnun Wa Lā Yakādu Yubīnu

Am I not better than this one who is despised and he can barely be understood?

43:58
Wa Qālū 'A'ālihatunā Khayrun 'Am Huwa Mā Đarabūhu Laka 'Illā Jadalāan Bal Hum Qawmun Khaşimūna

And they said: Our gods are better or is he? They only put this forth to argue with you. Indeed, they are a quarrelsome people.

44:37
'Ahum Khayrun 'Am Qawmu Tubba`in Wa Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim 'Ahlaknāhum 'Innahum Kānū Mujrimīna

Are they better or the people of Tubba` and those before them? We destroyed them, they were criminals.

46:11
Wa Qāla Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Lilladhīna 'Āmanū Law Kāna Khayrāan Mā Sabaqūnā 'Ilayhi Wa 'Idh Lam Yahtadū Bihi Fasayaqūlūna Hādhā 'Ifkun Qadīmun

And those who had rejected said regarding those who had believed: If it were any good, they would not have beaten us to it. And when they are not able to be guided by it, they will say: This is an old fabrication!

47:21
Ţā`atun Wa Qawlun Ma`rūfun Fa'idhā `Azama Al-'Amru Falaw Şadaqū Allāha Lakāna Khayrāan Lahum

Obedience and to speak righteousness until the matter is decided, then if they trust God it would be better for them.

49:5
Wa Law 'Annahum Şabarū Ĥattá Takhruja 'Ilayhim Lakāna Khayrāan Lahum Wa Allāhu Ghafūrun Raĥīmun

And if they had only been patient until you came out to them, it would have been better for them.God is Forgiver, Merciful.

49:11
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lā Yaskhar Qawmun Min Qawmin `Asá 'An Yakūnū Khayrāan Minhum Wa Lā Nisā'un Min Nisā'in `Asá 'An Yakunna Khayrāan Minhunna Wa Lā Talmizū 'Anfusakum Wa Lā Tanābazū Bil-'Alqābi Bi'sa Al-Aismu Al-Fusūqu Ba`da Al-'Īmāni Wa Man Lam Yatub Fa'ūlā'ika Humu Až-žālimūna

O you who believe, let not any people ridicule other people, for they may be better than they. Nor shall any women ridicule other women, for they may be better than they. Nor shall you mock one another, or call each other names; miserable indeed is the name of wickedness after attaining faith. And anyone who does not repent, then these are the transgressors.

2:148

And to each is a direction that he will take, so you shall race towards good deeds. Wherever you may be, God will bring you all together. God is capable of all things.

3:114

They believe in God and the Last Day and order kindness and prohibit vice, and they hasten in goodness; these are of the good doers.

5:48

And We have sent down to you the Book with the truth, authenticating what is between your hands of the Book and superseding it. So judge between them by what God has sent down, and do not follow their desires from what has come to you of the truth. For each of you We have made laws, and a structure; and if God had willed, He would have made you all one nation, but He tests you with what He has given you; so strive to do good. To God you will return all of you, and He will inform you regarding that in which you dispute.

9:88

But the messenger and those who believe with him have strived with their money and their lives. For them will be the good things, and they are the successful ones.

21:73
Wa Ja`alnāhum 'A'immatan Yahdūna Bi'amrinā Wa 'Awĥaynā 'Ilayhim Fi`la Al-Khayrāti Wa 'Iqāma Aş-Şalāati Wa 'Ītā'a Az-Zakāati Wa Kānū Lanā `Ābidīna

And We made them leaders who guide by Our command, and We inspired them to do good works and hold the contact prayer and contribute towards purification, and they were in service to Us.

21:90
Fāstajabnā Lahu Wa Wahabnā Lahu Yaĥyá Wa 'Aşlaĥnā Lahu Zawjahu 'Innahum Kānū Yusāri`ūna Fī Al-Khayrāti Wa Yad`ūnanā Raghabāan Wa Rahabāan Wa Kānū Lanā Khāshi`īna

So We responded to him, and We granted him John, and We cured his wife. They used to hasten to do good, and they would call to Us in joy and in fear. And of Us they were reverent.

23:56
Nusāri`u Lahum Fī Al-Khayrāti Bal Lā Yash`urūna

We are quick to give them the good things. But they do not perceive.

23:61
'Ūlā'ika Yusāri`ūna Fī Al-Khayrāti Wa Hum Lahā Sābiqūna

These are the ones who race in doing good, and they are the first to it.

35:32

Then We inherited the Book to those whom We selected from Our servants. Subsequently, some of them wronged themselves, and others upheld it partly, while others were eager to work righteousness in accordance with the will of God; such is the great benefit.

55:70
Fīhinna Khayrātun Ĥisānun

In them is what is good and beautiful.
