And if any of the polytheists seeks your protection, then you may protect him so that he may hear the words of God, then let him reach his sanctity. This is because they are a people who do not know.

Those who lagged behind will say, when you venture out to collect the spoils: "Let us follow you!" They want to change the words of God. Say: "You will not follow us; this is what God has decreed beforehand." They will then say: "No, you are envious of us." Alas, they rarely understood anything.

3:39

If they turn away, then say: "Bear witness that we have submitted."

4:46

From among those who are Jewish are some who take the words out of context, and they say: "We hear and disobey, and listen but let not any listen, and shepherd us," in a twisting of their tongues and as a mockery of the system! And had they said: "We hear and obey, and listen, and watch over us," it would have been better for them and more upright; but God has cursed them for their disbelief, they do not believe except very little.

4:171

O people of the Book, do not overstep in your system, nor say about God except the truth. Jesus, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger of God and the fulfillment of His word to Mary and a Spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers, and do not say: "Trinity." Cease, for it is better for you. God is only One god, be He glorified that He should have a son! To Him is all that is in the heavens and the earth; and God is enough as a Caretaker.

5:13

But because of them breaking their covenant, We have cursed them, and made their hearts become hardened; they take the words out of context; and they forgot much of what they were reminded of. And you will still discover betrayal in them except for a few; so pardon them and overlook; God loves the good doers.

5:41

O messenger, do not be saddened by those who increase in disbelief from among those who said: "We believe" with their mouths while their hearts did not believe. And from among those who are Jewish, there are those who listened to lies; they listened to people who never came to you; they distort the words from their context, and they say: "If you are given this, then take it, but if you are given anything different, then beware!" And whoever God wants to test, then you will not possess anything for him against God. These are the ones whose hearts God did not want to cleanse; in this world they will have humiliation, and in the Hereafter they will have a great retribution.

6:34

Messengers before you were denied, but they were patient for what they were denied, and they were harmed until Our victory came to them; there is no changing the words of God. News of the messengers has come to you.

6:115

So believe in God and His Gentile messenger prophet, who believes in God and His words; and follow him that you may be guided.

8:7

They swear by God that they did not say it, while they had said the word of rejection, and they rejected after they had submitted, and they were concerned with what they could not possess; and they could not find any fault except that God and His messenger had enriched them from His bounty. If they repent it is better for them, and if they turn away, then God will punish them severely in this world and the next. They will not have on the earth any ally or supporter.

Kadhālika Ĥaqqat Kalimatu Rabbika `Alá Al-Ladhīna Fasaqū 'Annahum Lā Yu'uminūna

It was thus that the command of your Lord came against those who were wicked, for they did not believe.

10:64
Lahumu Al-Bushrá Fī Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Fī Al-'Ākhirati Lā Tabdīla Likalimāti Allāhi Dhālika Huwa Al-Fawzu Al-`Ažīmu

For them are glad tidings in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. There is no changing the words of God. Such is the great triumph.

10:82
Wa Yuĥiqqu Allāhu Al-Ĥaqqa Bikalimātihi Wa Law Kariha Al-Mujrimūna

"And so that God will set the truth with His words, even if the criminals hate it."

10:96
'Inna Al-Ladhīna Ĥaqqat `Alayhim Kalimatu Rabbika Lā Yu'uminūna

Those who have deserved the retribution of your Lord do not believe.

11:110
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Fākhtulifa Fīhi Wa Lawlā Kalimatun Sabaqat Min Rabbika LaquĐiya Baynahum Wa 'Innahum Lafī Shakkin Minhu Murībin

And We gave Moses the Book, yet they disputed in it; and had it not been for a word which was already given by your Lord, their case would have been judged immediately. They are in grave doubt concerning it.

11:119
'Illā Man Raĥima Rabbuka Wa Lidhalika Khalaqahum Wa Tammat Kalimatu Rabbika La'amla'anna Jahannama Mina Al-Jinnati Wa An-Nāsi 'Ajma`īna

Except whom your Lord has mercy upon; and for that He has created them. And the word of your Lord came true: "I will fill Hell with the Jinn and the people together!"

14:24
'Alam Tará Kayfa Đaraba Allāhu Mathalāan Kalimatan Ţayyibatan Kashajaratin Ţayyibatin 'Aşluhā Thābitun Wa Far`uhā Fī As-Samā'i

Have you not seen how God puts forth the example that a good word is like a good tree, whose root is firm and whose branches are in the sky.

14:26
Wa Mathalu Kalimatin Khabīthatin Kashajaratin Khabīthatin Ajtuththat Min Fawqi Al-'ArĐi Mā Lahā Min Qarārin

And the example of a bad word is like a tree which has been uprooted from the surface of the earth, it has nowhere to settle.

18:5
Mmā Lahum Bihi Min `Ilmin Wa Lā Li'ābā'ihim Kaburat Kalimatan Takhruju Min 'Afwāhihim 'In Yaqūlūna 'Illā Kadhibāan

They have no knowledge of this, nor do their fathers. Tremendous indeed is the word coming out of their mouths. They are but saying a lie!

18:27
Wa Atlu Mā 'Ūĥiya 'Ilayka Min Kitābi Rabbika Lā Mubaddila Likalimātihi Wa Lan Tajida Min Dūnihi Multaĥadāan

And recite what has been inspired to you from the Book of your Lord, there is no changing His words, and you will not find besides Him any refuge.

18:109

20:129

And had it not been for a word already given by your Lord, they would have been held to account immediately.

23:100
La`allī 'A`malu Şāliĥāan Fīmā Taraktu Kallā 'Innahā Kalimatun Huwa Qā'iluhā Wa Min Warā'ihim Barzakhun 'Ilá Yawmi Yub`athūna

"So that I may do good in that which I have left behind." No, it is but a word he is speaking. And there is a barrier to prevent them from going back until the Day they are all resurrected.

31:27

And if all the trees on the earth were made into pens, and the ocean were supplied by seven more oceans, the words of God would not run out. God is Noble, Wise.

35:10

Whoever is seeking dignity, then know that to God belongs all dignity. To Him ascend the good words, and the good deeds raise them up. And as for those who scheme evil, they will have a painful retribution, and their scheming will fail.

37:171
Wa Laqad Sabaqat Kalimatunā Li`ibādinā Al-Mursalīn

Our word had been decreed to Our servants who were sent.

39:19
'Afaman Ĥaqqa `Alayhi Kalimatu Al-`Adhābi 'Afa'anta Tunqidhu Man Fī An-Nāri

As for those who have deserved the retribution; can you save those who are in the Fire?

39:71

And those who rejected will be driven to Hell in groups. When they reach it, and its gates are opened, its guards will say to them: Did you not receive messengers from among you who recited to you the revelations of your Lord, and warned you about meeting this Day? They said: Yes indeed; but the sentence of retribution has come to pass upon the rejecters.

40:6
Wa Kadhalika Ĥaqqat Kalimatu Rabbika `Alá Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Annahum 'Aşĥābu An-Nāri

And as such, the word of your Lord has come to pass upon those who rejected, that they are the dwellers of the Fire.

41:45
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Fākhtulifa Fīhi Wa Lawlā Kalimatun Sabaqat Min Rabbika LaquĐiya Baynahum Wa 'Innahum Lafī Shakkin Minhu Murībin

And We have given Moses the Book, but it was disputed in. And had it not been for the predetermined decision of your Lord, they would have been judged immediately. Indeed, they harbor many doubts about it.

42:14

And they only divided after the knowledge had come to them, due to resentment among themselves. And had it not been for a predetermined decision from your Lord, they would have been judged immediately. Indeed, those who inherited the Book after them are full of doubts.

42:21

Or do they have partners who decree for them a system which has not been authorized by God? And if it were not for the word already given, they would have been judged immediately. Indeed, the transgressors will have a painful retribution.

42:24

Or do they say: He has fabricated lies about God! Had God willed, He could have sealed your heart. And God erases the falsehood and affirms the truth with His words. He is fully aware of what is in the chests.

43:28

Wa Ja`alahā Kalimatan Bāqiyatan Fī `Aqibihi La`allahum Yarji`ūna

And he made it a word to last in his subsequent generations; perhaps they may turn back.

48:26

Those who rejected had put in their hearts the rage of the days of ignorance. Then, God sent down tranquility upon His messenger and the believers, and directed them to uphold the word of righteousness, and they were well entitled to it and worthy of it. And God is fully aware of all things.

66:12

And Mary, daughter of Imran, who maintained the chastity of her private part, so We blew into it from Our Spirit, and she believed in the words of her Lord and His Books; and she was of those who were dutiful.

These are the revelations of God, We recite them to you with the truth, and you are one of the messengers.

And if We had sent down to them the angels, and the dead spoke to them, and We had gathered before them everything, they still would not believe except if God wills. Alas, most of them are ignorant.

7:143

So when Moses came to Our appointed time, and his Lord spoke to him, he said: "My Lord, let me look upon you." He said: "You will not see Me, but look upon the mountain, if it stays in its place then you will see Me." So when his Lord revealed Himself to the mountain, He caused it to crumble; thus Moses fell unconscious. When he awoke, he said: "Glory to You, I repent to You and I am the first of those who believe."

12:54

Surely, those who conceal what God has sent down of the Book, and they purchase with it a cheap price; they will not eat in their bellies except the Fire, and God will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, and they will have a painful retribution.

The ones who purchase with the pledge of God and their oaths a cheap price, those will have no portion in the Hereafter, and God will not speak to them, nor will He look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, and they will have a painful retribution.

5:110
'Idh Qāla Allāhu Yā `Īsá Abna Maryama Adhkur Ni`matī `Alayka Wa `Alá Wa A-Datika 'Idh 'Ayyadttuka Birūĥi Al-Qudusi Tukallimu An-Nāsa Fī Al-Mahdi Wa Kahlāan Wa 'Idh `Allamtuka Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥikmata Wa At-Tawrāata Wa Al-'Injīla Wa 'Idh Takhluqu Mina Aţ-Ţīni Kahay'ati Aţ-Ţayri Bi'idhnī Fatanfukhu Fīhā Fatakūnu Ţayrāan Bi'idhnī Wa Tubri'u Al-'Akmaha Wa Al-'Abraşa Bi'idhnī Wa 'Idh Tukhriju Al-Mawtá Bi'idhnī Wa 'Idh Kafaftu Banī 'Isrā'īla `Anka 'Idh Ji'tahum Bil-Bayyināti Faqāla Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Minhum 'In Hādhā 'Illā Siĥrun Mubīnun

God said: "O Jesus, son of Mary, recall My blessings upon you and your mother, that I supported you with the Holy Spirit; you spoke to the people in the cradle and middle-age; and I taught you the Book and the wisdom, and the Torah, and the Gospel; and you would create from clay the shape of a bird, then blow into it and it becomes a bird with My permission; and you would heal the blind and the leaper with My permission; and you would bring out the dead with My permission. And I have restrained the Children of Israel from you, that you came to them with proofs; but those who rejected among them said: 'This is clearly magic!'"

7:148
Wa Attakhadha Qawmu Mūsá Min Ba`dihi Min Ĥulīyihim `Ijlāan Jasadāan Lahu Khuwārun 'Alam Yaraw 'Annahu Lā Yukallimuhum Wa Lā Yahdīhim Sabīlāan Attakhadhūhu Wa Kānū žālimīna

And the people of Moses, in his absence, made from their ornaments a sculpture of a calf that emitted a cry. Did they not see that it could not speak to them, nor guide them to any way? They took it and they were wicked.

19:10
Qāla Rabbi Aj`al Lī 'Āyatan Qāla 'Āyatuka 'Allā Tukallima An-Nāsa Thalātha Layālin Sawīyāan

He said: "My Lord, make for me a sign." He said: "Your sign is that you will not speak to the people for three nights consecutively."

19:26
Fakulī Wa Ashrabī Wa Qarrī `Aynāan Fa'immā Taraynna Mina Al-Bashari 'Aĥadāan Faqūlī 'Innī Nadhartu Lilrraĥmani Şawmāan Falan 'Ukallima Al-Yawma 'Insīyāan

"So eat and drink and be happy. If you see any human being, then say: 'I have vowed an abstinence for the Almighty, so I will not talk today to any of mankind.'"

19:29
Fa'ashārat 'Ilayhi Qālū Kayfa Nukallimu Man Kāna Fī Al-Mahdi Şabīyāan

So she pointed to him. They said: "How can we talk to someone who is a child in a cradle?"

23:108
Qāla Akhsa'ū Fīhā Wa Lā Tukallimūni

He said: "Be humiliated therein and do not speak to Me."

27:82
Wa 'Idhā Waqa`a Al-Qawlu `Alayhim 'Akhrajnā Lahum Dābbatan Mina Al-'ArĐi Tukallimuhum 'Anna An-Nāsa Kānū Bi'āyātinā Lā Yūqinūna

And when the punishment has been deserved by them, We will bring out for them a creature from the earth, it will speak to them that the people have been unaware regarding Our revelations.

36:65
Al-Yawma Nakhtimu `Alá 'Afwāhihim Wa Tukallimunā 'Aydīhim Wa Tash/hadu 'Arjuluhum Bimā Kānū Yaksibūna

Today, We shall cease their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will bear witness to everything they had done.

42:51

And it is not for any human being that God would speak to him, except through inspiration, or from behind a barrier, or by sending a messenger to inspire whom He wills with His permission. He is Most High, Wise.

13:31

And if a Qur'an were to be used to move mountains, or to slice the earth, or the dead were spoken to with it. Indeed, to God are all matters. Did not those who have believed know that if God had wished He would have guided all the people? As for those who reject, they continue to be stricken with disaster or it comes near to their homes, until the promise of God comes true. God does not break the appointment.

Yawma Ya'ti Lā Takallamu Nafsun 'Illā Bi'idhnihi Faminhum Shaqīyun Wa Sa`īdun

On the Day it comes, no person will speak except with His permission. Some of them will be distraught, some will be happy.

24:16
Wa Lawlā 'Idh Sami`tumūhu Qultum Mā Yakūnu Lanā 'An Natakallama Bihadhā Subĥānaka Hādhā Buhtānun `Ažīmun

And when you heard it you should have said: "It was not right for us to speak of this. Glory be to You, this is a great lie."

30:35

Or have We sent down to them an authority, which speaks to them of that which they have set up?

Yawma Yaqūmu Ar-Rūĥu Wa Al-Malā'ikatu Şaffāan Lā Yatakallamūna 'Illā Man 'Adhina Lahu Ar-Raĥmānu Wa Qāla Şawābāan

The Day when the Spirit and the angels stand in line, none will speak unless the Almighty permits him and he speaks what is true.
