Arabic وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ قَالَ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ وَلَمْ يُوحَ إِلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ وَمَن قَالَ سَأُنزِلُ مِثْلَ مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلَوْ تَرَىٰ إِذِ الظَّالِمُونَ فِي غَمَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ بَاسِطُو أَيْدِيهِمْ أَخْرِجُوا أَنفُسَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ الْهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ وَكُنتُمْ عَنْ آيَاتِهِ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ zoom
Transliteration Waman athlamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban aw qala oohiya ilayya walam yooha ilayhi shay-on waman qala saonzilu mithla ma anzala Allahu walaw tara ithi alththalimoona fee ghamarati almawti waalmala-ikatu basitoo aydeehim akhrijoo anfusakumu alyawma tujzawna AAathaba alhooni bima kuntum taqooloona AAala Allahi ghayra alhaqqi wakuntum AAan ayatihi tastakbiroona zoom

  And who (is) more unjust than (one) who invents about Allah a lie or said, "It has been to me" while not it was inspired to him anything, and (one) who said, "I will reveal like what Allah has revealed." And if you (could) see when the wrongdoers (are) in agonies (of) [the] death while the Angels (are) stretching out their hands (saying), "Discharge your souls! Today you will be recompensed (with) humiliating punishment because you used to say against Allah other than the truth and you were towards His Verses being arrogant." zoom

Muhammad Asad And who could be more wicked than he who invents a lie about God, or says, "This has been revealed unto me," the while nothing has been revealed to him? - or he who says, "I, too, can bestow from on high the like of what God has bestowed"? If thou couldst but see [how it will be] when these evildoers find themselves in the agonies of death, and the angels stretch forth their hands [and call]: "Give up your souls! Today you shall be requited with the suffering of humiliation for having attributed to God something that is not true, and for having persistently scorned His messages in your arrogance!" zoom

Ahmed Hulusi Who can do more wrong than one who lies about Allah or who says, “It has been revealed unto me” when nothing has been revealed to him and who says, “I will reveal the like of what Allah has revealed”? If only you could see the wrongdoers when they live the intensity of death! The angels (forces) extend (spread) their hands and say, “Separate yourselves from your body (world) now as consciousness (for you have tasted death, life without a body, and life continues)! Today you will be punished with humiliation for the things you said about Allah not based on truth, and for being arrogant towards His signs.” zoom
Sayyed Abbas Sadr-Ameli And who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah, or says : 'It has been revealed to me,' while nothing has been revealed to him, and he who says : ' I will send down the like of what Allah has sent down'? And if you had seen when the unjust shall be in the agonies of death and the angels shall spread forth their hands, (saying) : 'Give up your souls ! Today you shall be recompensed with a disgracing chastisement for what you used to say against Allah other than the truth and (because) you used to behave with pride against His Signs. zoom
Mir Aneesuddin And who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah or says, "Communication has come to me," when he has not been communicated with anything, and he who says, "I can (also) bring down the like of that which Allah has sent down." Could you but see when the unjust are engulfed in (the sufferings of) death and the angels stretch their hands (saying), "Bring out your souls. (This) day you will be rewarded with a shameful punishment because you used to speak about Allah (something) other than the truth, and you used to consider yourselves great with regard to (the acceptance) of His signs." about Allah (something) other than the truth, and you used to consider yourselves great with regard to (the acceptance) of His signs." zoom
